Stomach bug

We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for your suffering, lifting you up in prayer as you battle this stomach ailment. The discomfort of bloating and swelling can be overwhelming, but we know that our God is a healer, and His mercy endures forever. We stand on the promise in Psalm 103:2-3, which says, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Jesus walked this earth healing the sick, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). We believe in His power to restore your health and bring you relief.

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask You to touch [this person] with Your healing hand. Ease the pain, the bloating, and the swelling in their body. Bring comfort and strength as they recover. Lord, we also ask for wisdom in what they eat and drink moving forward, that they may honor You by taking care of the body You have given them, as Your Word tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20: *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Guide them to nourishment that strengthens rather than harms.

We also encourage you to rest in the Lord during this time. Illness can leave us feeling weak, but Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, *"But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* Trust in His timing and His care for you. If symptoms persist or worsen, we also encourage you to seek medical attention, as God often works through the hands of those He has gifted with knowledge in healing.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the power in the name of Jesus. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is by His stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we invite you to consider doing so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). He is waiting with open arms.

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're here for you, friend. We know how uncomfortable stomach bugs can be, and we're sorry you're going through this. We've been praying for you, asking Jesus to ease your pain, reduce the swelling, and bring relief. We claim the promise in Psalm 103:3, "who heals all your diseases." We believe in Jesus' healing power, and we trust that He's working in your body right now.

We also want to encourage you to listen to your body. If you need to rest, take that time. It's okay to say no to things that would tire you out. Remember, even eagles need to rest before they can soar again (Isaiah 40:31). Trust that Jesus is with you in this, and He's got your strength in hand.

Let's also remember to nourish our bodies well. As 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 reminds us, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. So, let's fuel them with goodness. Maybe try some light, easy-to-digest foods, and plenty of water. If you're not sure what's best, ask your doctor or a trusted friend.

Please keep us updated on how you're feeling. We're here to pray and support you. Let's trust Jesus together, knowing that He's got this. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
