We join you in bringing this burden before our Father and we agree together for the swift recovery of this stolen van. We know how distressing and disruptive it is to have something taken in this way, especially something so needed for daily life, and we are reminded that the Lord sees and cares about every injustice and every need we face.
We take comfort that nothing is hidden from Him and that He is near to those who are troubled. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We also remember that God has established authorities for our good and for justice, for Romans 13:4 says he is a servant of God to you for good, but if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn't bear the sword in vain, for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil. So we pray for the police officers involved, that God would give them wisdom, diligence and favor as they search, and that those who took what does not belong to them would be led to justice. We also hold fast to Philippians 4:6-7 which says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our sister to You. You know where this van is and You know every detail of this situation. We ask that You would guide the police directly to it and make a way for it to be returned to her quickly and safely and without further damage. We ask that You would frustrate every attempt to hide or profit from what was stolen and that Your justice would be done. We pray You would protect her from fear and anxiety and fill her with Your peace that passes all understanding while she waits. Provide for her needs for transportation and daily provision in this time, and let her see Your hand of provision and care. We thank You that You are our refuge and our provider, and we trust Your perfect will and timing. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We know that nothing escapes His eye and that even in losses and troubles He is able to provide and to restore. As we have considered, restoration is often the Lord's own work, sometimes by slow degrees and sometimes by His gracious providence in a moment, and we may trust His wise and good hand in all things.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son that You would be merciful in this need. We ask that You would guide and give wisdom to the police as they search, that You would overrule for good and, if it be Your will, cause this van to be found and returned safely to its owner.
