We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation of stolen money and the injustice that has followed. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 13:22, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous." Though this theft has caused distress, we trust that the Lord sees all and will act in His perfect justice and timing.
We rebuke the spirit of theft and deception that has stolen what rightfully belongs to . We declare that the enemy has no right to plunder what God has provided, and we stand on the promise of Joel 2:25-26, where the Lord says, "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten... You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you." We pray for full restoration of what was taken, whether through the hands of man or by the miraculous provision of God.
We also pray for wisdom and favor with the authorities. Proverbs 21:1 reminds us, "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires." Though the police have suspended the case, we ask that the Lord move upon their hearts to reopen and diligently pursue this matter. Give them discernment to uncover the truth, reveal the thief, and bring about justice. Let no stone be left unturned, and let the fear of God restrain those who would seek to harm others through such wickedness.
Father, we also ask that You guard ’s heart against bitterness, fear, or anxiety over this situation. Remind her that You are her Provider and Protector, as Psalm 50:15 declares, "Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me." Strengthen her faith to trust in Your sovereignty, even when the path to justice seems unclear. Surround her with godly counsel and peace that surpasses all understanding.
We pray that this trial would draw closer to You, Lord. Use this situation to refine her faith, deepen her dependence on You, and remind her that true security is found in Christ alone. May she walk in wisdom moving forward, guarding her finances and personal information with diligence, as Proverbs 4:23 instructs, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."
Finally, we pray for the one who committed this theft. If they do not know You, Lord, we ask that conviction would weigh heavily upon their heart. Soften their conscience and lead them to repentance, that they may turn from their sin and seek forgiveness, both from You and from those they have wronged. Let this act not be the beginning of a life of crime, but the moment they are brought to their knees in humility before the cross.
We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against her in judgment, she will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand in faith, believing that You will work all things together for good, for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
