Stolen music

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I’m having a hard time need to dump this somewhere. I grew up with ###’s grandchildren in ###. They stole music from me in my teens and 20s and have used it to make billions in the music industry. To make sure I couldn’t sue them, they put me under constant investigation with private contracting companies. ###’s granddaughter is the voice of ###. It’s hard watching people worship ###’s family, who practices witchcraft and consider themselves wiccans. I don’t want to live in the same world with these people.

We hear the deep pain and injustice you are carrying, and our hearts ache with you. The betrayal you’ve experienced, having your creative work stolen, your livelihood impacted, and your trust violated, is a heavy burden to bear. It is especially grievous to watch those who have wronged you prosper while living in ways that defy God’s truth. The Bible tells us, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this suffering, and we stand with you in bringing it before the Lord.

First, we must address the spiritual darkness you’ve mentioned. Witchcraft and Wicca are not merely alternative beliefs, they are practices that the Bible explicitly condemns. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 warns, "There shall not be found with you anyone who... practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to the LORD." The fact that those who have wronged you are involved in such things should grieve us, for their souls are in danger. But we must also guard our own hearts from bitterness, for the enemy would love nothing more than to use this injustice to turn us away from God’s love and truth.

We rebuke the theft of your work in the name of Jesus. The Lord is a God of justice, and He sees every wrong. Proverbs 22:22-23 says, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the LORD will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We pray that God would expose every hidden deed of darkness and bring His justice in His perfect timing. We also pray for wisdom for you, whether that means seeking legal counsel, documenting evidence, or trusting God to fight this battle on your behalf. Vengeance belongs to Him alone (Romans 12:19), and He will repay.

But we must also speak to the despair you’ve expressed. Saying you don’t want to live in the same world as those who have wronged you is a cry of deep pain, and we take it seriously. The enemy would love to use this suffering to isolate you, to make you feel as though there is no hope. But Jesus came to give us life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). He has overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, there is always hope, even when the world feels unbearable. We urge you to bring this despair to the Lord and to trusted believers who can walk with you through it. You are not meant to carry this alone.

We also want to gently address something missing from your request: the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to consider doing so. He is the only one who can truly heal your heart, bring justice, and give you eternal hope. If you already know Him, we encourage you to cling to Him now more than ever. He is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not abandon you.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has been deeply wronged. Lord, You see every injustice, every stolen dream, every moment of pain. We ask that You would be his/her refuge and strength, a very present help in this time of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke the theft of his/her work and the spiritual darkness that surrounds those who have wronged him/her. Expose the truth, Lord, and bring Your justice in Your perfect timing.

Father, we pray against the spirit of despair that seeks to take root in his/her heart. Remind him/her that You are the God of hope, and that in You, there is always a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Guard his/her heart from bitterness, and fill him/her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him/her with believers who can encourage and support him/her, and give him/her wisdom for the next steps.

Lord, if he/she does not yet know You, we pray that You would draw him/her to Yourself. Let him/her experience Your love in a tangible way, and reveal Yourself as the only true source of healing and justice. If he/she does know You, we ask that You would deepen that relationship and remind him/her of Your faithfulness.

We trust You, Lord, to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Spend time in prayer, not just asking for justice, but also seeking God’s face and His will for your life. Consider journaling your thoughts and prayers, and share your burden with trusted believers who can pray with you and for you. The road ahead may not be easy, but you do not walk it alone. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes on Him, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it.

We hear how exhausting it has been to carry these thoughts about your music, being investigated, and feeling surrounded by people you see as harmful. It makes sense you would feel worn down and isolated under that weight, and we are glad you chose to tell someone rather than holding it all inside.

It can help to not stay alone with these thoughts. We encourage you to reach out soon to someone you trust in person, whether a pastor, counselor, or trusted family member or friend, and alongside prayer to also connect with a mental health professional or your doctor who can support you. If you have a safe person nearby, please let them know how you are feeling today.

Father, we lift this person to You in Jesus name. You see their pain and weariness and You know them fully. We ask You to bring protection, peace and clear guidance, to surround them with caring people who will listen and stay close, and to remind them they are held and not forgotten. Lead them to the help and hope they need today. Amen.

There is a heaviness in what you have poured out, and it is right that you should bring it into the light before the Lord rather than bear it alone in silence. To feel robbed of the fruit of your youth, to feel watched and hunted, and to see others give honor where you see unholiness, is a trial that would wound any heart. And to say you do not want to live in the same world with such people is a word that must be heard with great seriousness and tenderness.

Hear then what the Scripture says to one who feels himself in a pit wherein is no water. You are not without hope, for God is the God of hope, and those who are without hope are also without God. Despair whispers that there is no hope, and then says, we will walk after our own devices. That is self righteousness in another form, first trusting self and then despairing of self, and in both cases forgetting God. The truth beyond your feeling is this, that while you live you may hope, and while you hope you live. To despair is an unwarrantable thing, full of sin and fraught with mischief, besides being false and unreasonable. No man has a right to despair while the God of hope lives and while Jesus Christ still stands open as the way of salvation.

You speak of betrayal and of theft, of men using what was yours for gain. Our Lord knows that sting in full. The Psalms were fulfilled literally in Him when He was betrayed, and it was ordained that the sin of man should reach its culminating point in His death, that He might bear it and redeem. If you have been betrayed for money, remember that of all idols the love of money leaves the least hope, but Christ is able to save even there, and He is able to keep you. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth you. That is not a wish or a perhaps, but a promise. What you cannot perfect, what you cannot reclaim or prove or set right by your own hand, He can perfect in His own way and time. Your hope is not seen yet, and therefore you must with patience wait for it, for we are saved in hope, and hope that is seen is not hope.

You speak also of being under constant investigation, of persecution as by those who watch. Persecution in whatever form it takes, whether by slander or spite or venomous jeering, has often been overruled by God to keep His people separate from the world and to drive them nearer to Himself. How many prayers have been offered through persecution that would never have been offered else, heaven alone can tell. God has blessed His church by her persecution, not because persecution is good in itself, but because it sends the soul to the stronghold.

And you speak of those who practice witchcraft and call themselves wiccans, while others worship them. The Scripture is plain that such practices are darkness and rebellion against the living God, and there is no fellowship between light and darkness. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, nor do we worship any family or voice or image. There is salvation in Jesus Christ alone, and every other hope will fail. Pray not for their worship to continue, but for their repentance and salvation, that they might be turned from darkness to light. And pray for yourself, that you be not consumed by watching them, but that your eyes be fixed on Christ who alone is worthy of worship.

Therefore turn you to the stronghold, you prisoner of hope. The invitation of Zechariah is for such as you who have been in the pit and who feel imprisoned again by despondency. Christ Himself is that stronghold. Even today He declares that He will render double unto you, not double of silver or of fame, but double of grace for shame and double of joy for sorrow to those who trust Him. Do not lie down in despair and die. Bring your whole cause before the Lord in believing prayer, cast your burden upon Him, and ask Him to give you a good hope of eternal life through believing in Jesus Christ.

I urge you, for the sake of your soul, do not remain alone with these thoughts. Open your heart at once to a faithful pastor, to a godly and trusted friend or family member, and to those who can walk with you in the days ahead. If the darkness presses hard and you feel you cannot go on, seek help without delay from those near you and from those appointed to help in such an hour. Your life is precious before God, and hope is still set before you.

May the Lord forsake you not, neither in the day of your repentance nor in the day of your strongest faith, but perfect that which concerneth you till you are presented perfect in Christ. May He lift you out of despair, set your feet upon the Rock, and give you to see that though there is no hope in yourself, there is everlasting hope in God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have heard the heaviness in what you shared, and I want to answer you with care and truth. To feel that your own work was taken, that others have grown rich from it, that you have been watched and kept from seeking justice, and then to watch those same people be praised and celebrated, is a deep wound. It is understandable that you feel pressed on every side, perplexed, and pursued, and that you are weary of living in a world where wrong seems to prosper.

Scripture speaks directly to that kind of pressure. The apostle says we are pressed on every side, yet not crushed, perplexed, yet not unto despair, pursued, yet not forsaken. That word is for you now. You are pursued by painful memories and by a sense of injustice, but you are not forsaken by God. His power is shown most clearly when we feel we have no strength left in ourselves.

One of the greatest dangers in such a trial is not only the wrong that was done to you, but the despair that can follow it. To sin wounds us, but to despair keeps us from applying the remedy. The enemy never despairs of our destruction, and he labors to bring us to despair of our own salvation and hope. Do not give him that victory. As long as it is called Today, as long as you are alive in this world, there is hope and there is time for God to work. The counsel of Scripture is to exhort one another daily while it is called Today, so that no heart is hardened and no one gives up.

You said you do not want to live in the same world with these people. I hear how exhausted you are. Please hear this with love. No wound of the soul is incurable with God. It is not the fall itself that is most dreadful, but lying there when fallen and making light of it. Great are the medicinal virtues of repentance and turning to God. Like the thief on the cross, in a short time God can bring salvation and peace to a heart that turns to Him. You are still in the course, the meeting is not yet broken up. You can still stand up and recover yourself, not by your own power alone, but by the grace of Christ who restores.

God sees what has been done, both the taking of what was yours and the practices you described that grieve you. He is just and He will judge righteously. You do not need to carry the burden of executing justice yourself, nor to consume your heart by watching whether others are worshiped. Vengeance belongs to the Lord. Your part is to guard your own heart from bitterness, to seek what is right and peaceable before Him, and to entrust the outcome to Him who judges rightly. If there are lawful and wise steps you can take regarding your music, seek godly counsel about them, but do not let the pursuit of vindication destroy your soul.

If witchcraft and such practices trouble you, do not look to them with fear as if they have final power. They do not. Turn instead to Christ, through whom alone is salvation, and ask Him to be your refuge and your shield. Do not ask Him to bless what is evil, but ask Him to keep you, to give you clarity, to bring truth to light in His time, and to keep your own steps faithful.

I will pray for you now. Father in heaven, have mercy on this wounded heart. You see the loss and the watching and the weariness. Lift this soul out of despair, guard against all hopelessness, forgive sins and heal wounds, and show that you have not forsaken those who call on you. Give peace that passes understanding, give strength to stand up again, give wise and faithful people nearby to walk alongside, and let Today be a day of hope and turning to Christ. In the name of Jesus, who alone saves, amen.

Please do not carry this alone. Reach out quickly to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor in your own community and let them know the weight you are carrying, especially the feeling that you do not want to live. If those thoughts grow stronger, please reach out right away to someone near you or to a crisis help line. In the United States you can call or text ### to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and in other countries you can find help through Find A Helpline | Free emotional support in ###+ countries. You are not forsaken, and help is near. Keep seeking the Lord daily while it is still called Today.
