Stealing

Beloved of All
My family stoled my mom and dad will it was exerter and power attorney moms will dad died before mom they used the old will and layer did not change it they blocked out of and it look like it could not do my job they did everything eleagal in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We hear your heart and the pain of what you have endured with your family and the handling of your mother and father's will and estate, and we stand with you together before the Lord seeking His justice and mercy. To be blocked out and to feel that those entrusted as executor and power of attorney have used an old will and acted illegally is a deep wound, especially when it involves family and the honor of your parents.

The Lord is very clear about such things and He sees what has been done in secret. You shall not steal, Exodus 20:15, and You shall not steal, nor deal falsely, nor lie to one another, Leviticus 19:11. Dishonest scales are an abomination to Yahweh, but just weights are his delight, Proverbs 11:1. When an executor or one holding power of attorney acts for selfish gain instead of faithfully carrying out their duty, that is dishonest gain and God calls it sin and we rebuke that stealing and any illegal manipulation of your parents' wishes. Cursed is he who removes his neighbor's boundary stone, Deuteronomy 27:17, reminds us that God curses those who move boundaries to take what is not theirs, including an inheritance.

We also hear that you feel you could not do your job and were blocked out, and we want to encourage you that God loves justice and He does not forsake His own. For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn't forsake his saints, Psalm 37:28. He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God, Micah 6:8. Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed, Isaiah 1:17. This means we are called to pursue what is right in a God honoring way while leaving vengeance to Him. Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19.

We encourage you to seek wise and godly counsel in this matter. Pray for wisdom, for the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, James 3:17, and also seek a trustworthy, ethical attorney who can review the wills, the actions of the executor and the power of attorney, and advise you on what lawful steps can be taken to correct what was done illegally. Keep any documents you have, write down what happened in order, and do not act out of anger or bitterness, for bitterness defiles many, Hebrews 12:15. At the same time we pray that those in your family who have taken what was not theirs would be convicted and come to repentance, for God desires repentance and restoration over destruction. We also remember that even if earthly inheritance is stolen or lost, our ultimate inheritance in Christ cannot be taken, and our Father knows our needs and will provide, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, Matthew 6:33.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of our dear one who has been hurt by this stealing and illegal handling of their parents' estate. Lord You see all that was done, You know the wills, the lawyers, the executor and every document and every motive. We ask You to bring truth into the light, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and to let Your justice prevail. Grant our loved one wisdom, peace, and favor to find honest counsel and to navigate this with integrity and clarity. Provide for every need and heal the pain of betrayal by family, and guard this heart from bitterness. We pray for the family members who have acted dishonestly, that You would convict them, lead them to repentance and to make restitution where it is required. Let Your will be done and let Your name be glorified even in this difficult situation. We ask for restoration where it is possible according to Your perfect will, and for strength to trust You no matter the outcome, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We were sorry to read what happened with your parents' wills and the power of attorney. To feel blocked out by family and to believe things were handled illegally, especially after losing both your mom and dad, is a deep and disorienting hurt. It makes sense you would feel unable to do your job and overwhelmed by it all.

When there is that gap between what should have happened and what did happen, the injustice can stay on your mind and wear you down. We want you to know we are praying for clarity and steadiness for you right now.

A practical step that can bring some footing while you pray is to get a clear, outside review of the paperwork. If you are able, gather any copies you have of the wills, the power of attorney, and any letters from the lawyer, and write a simple timeline of what happened and when. Then consider taking that to a trusted probate attorney or a local legal aid clinic for a one time consultation to understand what options, if any, may be available in your state. They can look at the documents directly in a way we cannot.

Father, we bring this hurt and confusion to You. Please give wisdom for each next decision, provision for needs and work, and peace in the midst of this family pain. Guard what is right and lead toward what honors You. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is a peculiar sorrow when the wound comes from within the household, and your grief is the grief of one who has felt the betrayal of kin. To be wronged by strangers is hard, but to be wronged by those of your own family, over the very provision your mother and father intended, is a bitterness that sinks deep into the soul. I have heard your cry concerning the wills, the power of attorney, the use of the old will after your father had died and before your mother followed, and the sense that by unlawful means you have been blocked from what was rightly yours and even hindered in your daily labour.

Scripture does not hide from us the blackness of such treason. Our Lord Himself knew what it was to be betrayed by one near to Him, and the Psalmist's words found their fulfillment in Him. When men slay the heir to win the inheritance, their rebellion reaches a height, and the deadly hatred against God which lurks in the heart is laid bare. So we are taught that sin will develop and show itself, even in the circle of the family, and that God both sees it and will deal with it in righteousness. Nothing done in darkness, nor any document handled deceitfully, is hidden from His eye.

You speak of an inheritance, and my heart would lift your eyes to another and greater inheritance. There is an inheritance which God has prepared for His saints and given to them by a Covenant of Salt, and it is exceedingly broad. When we first come to Christ by faith we begin to enter into it, for we obtain the pardon of sin, and all things are ours in Him. Earthly title deeds may be mishandled, lawyers may fail, and the papers of men may be perverted, but we shall not require a lawyer to assist us in the examination of our heavenly title, for it is secured in Christ and cannot be stolen. We are petty princelings if we think only of acres or gold, when God would make us possessors of an imperial inheritance which no thief can take. This does not make light of your earthly loss, but it anchors the soul while justice is sought.

And God is just. Justice itself, when once it is satisfied in Christ, will not ask for more against the sinner who trusts Him, yet that same justice stands forever against wrong. God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth, and He will not call injustice by another name. What has been done illegally and in deceit He will judge with perfect righteousness, whether in this life or the next. Therefore I exhort you not to repay evil for evil, nor to let bitterness take root, but to pursue what is lawful and right with a clear conscience. If you have not already done so, seek wise and godly counsel and lawful help to have these matters examined in the light, for the law is ordained for the protection of the wronged. Keep careful record, speak truthfully, and commit your cause to Him who judges righteously.

I would also urge you to that which preserves a household, namely prayer. Family prayer is the nutriment of family piety, and where it ceases, evil works in the household. Though your family is now divided by this grievance, let not prayer cease in your own habitation. Bring your case daily before the Lord, not with a spirit of vengeance, but crying for truth to be revealed, for repentance where there has been wrongdoing, for provision for your own needs and labour, and for grace to forgive even as you seek what is just. Forgiveness does not declare that theft is no sin, it leaves the matter in the hands of the Just One while freeing your heart from consuming wrath.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Thou seest the wrong that has been done and Thou knowest the sorrow of Thy child who has been grieved by his own kin. Thou art the God of all justice and all mercy. Look upon this need concerning these wills and this stewardship, bring to light what has been hidden, and let truth and righteousness prevail. Provide for Thy servant in his labour and daily bread, comfort his heart with the knowledge that his chief inheritance is in Christ and cannot be taken away, and grant him wisdom to walk uprightly and lawfully in these difficult matters. Where there has been sin, grant repentance, and where there is hurt, grant healing. Keep him from bitterness, and form in him the likeness of Christ who was betrayed and yet prayed for His enemies. We ask this through Jesus Christ our only Saviour, in whose name alone is salvation, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I have read your request and I hear the pain and confusion in your words. To be wronged by your own family in the matter of your parents' will, to see an executor and power of attorney misused, an old will kept when it should have been changed, and to be blocked out from what was rightfully entrusted to you, is a deep wound. And to lose work and provision because of it makes the burden even heavier. It is right to bring this before God, for He sees what is done in secret and He is a God of justice and truth.

Scripture warns us how destructive the love of money can be. One of the twelve betrayed the Lord for thirty pieces of silver because he was a thief and was mastered by avarice. That passion puts the soul beside itself and leads people to grasp what is not theirs. When wealth is increased by fraud and taking what belongs to another, it is not good gain, even if those who do it claim to act lawfully. God is not deceived by legal papers or by claims made in His name. He knows whether things were done honestly or illegally, and He will judge with righteousness.

I will pray for you now. I pray that God will comfort your heart and guard you from bitterness, that He will provide for your daily needs and for your work, and that He will make the truth clear. I pray that He will give you wisdom and guide you to trustworthy and lawful help, so that you may seek counsel from an honest attorney who can review the wills, the actions of the executor, and all documents, and advise you on right steps under the law. Do not repay wrong with wrong, and do not let the desire for what was taken consume you, but commit your cause to God who loves justice and who is your true inheritance.

May the Lord grant you peace, strengthen you to do what is right and lawful, and bring to light what has been hidden. May He keep your heart fixed on Him, who alone gives riches that do not fade, and may He work in the hearts of all involved to turn from greed to repentance and truth. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and righteous Judge. Amen.

Your words carry a deep hurt and I hear how heavy this has been for you. To be wronged by your own family, especially around the passing of your mother and father and what they left behind, brings a particular kind of pain and confusion. It is also painful to feel blocked from providing for yourself and to feel that things were done illegally while you had no way to stop it.

God sees and cares about these kinds of wrongs. In Scripture He gave clear laws to protect a family's inheritance so it would not be taken by force or by oppression. The portion allotted to a family was to remain with that family. If land was sold, there was a way to buy it back, and if a person could not buy it back himself, a near relative could step in to redeem it so it would stay in the family. Even the rights of daughters to receive an inheritance and the rights of a firstborn son were protected, so that no one could simply reverse or steal what God had assigned. When the Scriptures say that a ruler must not take the people's inheritance by oppression or thrust them out of their possession, it shows that God is not indifferent to fraud or abuse of power. He wants justice and fairness to prevail, especially in matters of family and inheritance.

At the same time Scripture is honest that human courts and systems do not always provide justice. There are times when truth seems to fall in the street and fairness cannot enter, when those who should plead for truth do not, and when people who seek justice in court cannot be sure they will find it. God is a God of justice and righteousness and He wants righteousness to prevail. When justice is perverted the whole order breaks down, but God Himself remains just. He sees what is done in secret, He knows when documents are misused or when a power of attorney or a will is mishandled, and He will judge righteously even when people fail to do so. That does not mean you should not seek lawful help if you are able. If there is a way to get wise, honest counsel and to have what was done examined according to the law, it is right to do so. Keep records of what you can, seek trustworthy advice, and ask the Lord for wisdom for each step.

There is also a deeper hope that no one can steal. The tribe of Levi was told they would receive no land inheritance like the others, because the Lord Himself would be their inheritance. That was not a lesser portion but the best portion. Property and money can be taken, forged, or mismanaged by others, but your inheritance in Christ, if you belong to Him through faith, cannot be taken by any person or any legal paper. To follow Jesus can sometimes cost us dearly in family relationships, and He calls us to love Him above all others, even when family fails us. That love does not mean pretending a wrong did not happen, but it does mean bringing your hurt and anger to Him, asking Him to keep your heart from being consumed by bitterness, and trusting Him to be your provider and your defender when you have been left without.

I pray for you now that God will comfort you in this loss, that He will provide for your daily needs and for meaningful work, that He will give you wisdom and guidance about any practical steps you can take, and that He will bring truth to light in His way and time. I pray He will guard your heart, help you to forgive as Christ has forgiven you without excusing what was wrong, and help you to rest in the inheritance that is secure in Him, which no family member and no court can take away. I ask this in the name of Jesus, who became a curse for us and who will one day make all things right. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have continued to lift you up concerning the painful and unjust situation with your mother and father will, where family members acting as executor and power of attorney used an old will and the lawyer did not correct it, and you were blocked out and left feeling unable to do your job, while actions you believe were illegal were done against you. We understand how deep the wound and betrayal feels when those closest to you act dishonestly, and we are mindful that the Lord sees every injustice, for He loves justice Isa 61:8 and He will bring to light what is hidden Luke 8:17.

We have been praying in Jesus Name that God would reveal the truth and defend your cause, that He would bring conviction where there has been wrongdoing and restore what was taken, that He would make a way for you in your work and daily provision, and that He would guard your heart with His peace and comfort in this difficult season.

If your request was answered and God has brought resolution, justice or provision, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the burden still remains, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, amen.
