Standard & Longer Lord's Prayer: Seek 1st The Father, His Honor Kingdom Will; Then Our Provision, Forgiveness for Us, Others, Kept from Sin & Evil, Matt 6:9-13, c.f. Matt 6:33...

"Pray, then, after this manner [1]... ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom Come! Your Will be done, On Earth as it is in Heaven!”

[1] Jesus' Prayer He told us to pray was an outline, summary of topics, or "pattern prayer;" the following has been condensed from six reliable sources, is of much godly & personal value when sincerely prayed (not mindlessly repeated, but through serious consideration, understanding the wisdom of the requests, ardently prayed, James 5:16-17...

Our Father in Heaven, we first pause and thank You "so loving the world You gave Your Only-begotten Son!, Jn 3:16. Thank You "Jesus showed us The Father -- Your Nature," Jn 14:9. Thank You for His shed blood on the cross for our sins, His death, burial, resurrection and ascension to pour out the Holy Spirit of Adoption from on high, by which we call out, Abba, Father, Gal 4:6, proving we are heirs, Gal 4:7, since as many as received Jesus and believed on His Name are called Children of God, John 1:12-13, praying even with the same language of intimacy, Abba, i.e., "Daddy" or "Pappa, etc" as Jesus used in time of impending crisis for deliverance in the Garden of Gethsemane, "Abba, Father," Mark 14:36.

Hallowed Be Your Name... May Your GRACIOUS and COMPASSIONATE NAME, Ex 34:6-7, get honor through our thoughts, words, deeds, speech, actions and reactions. May we honor and know You in every Name You have revealed about Yourself in The Scriptures -- Elohim, Gen 1:1; The Name, Gen 4:26, El Elyon, God Most High, Gen 14:18, Adonai, Lord, Master, Gen 15:2; El Roi, The God Who Sees, Gen 16:13; El Shaddai, God Almighty, Gen 17:1; El Olam, The Everlasting God, Gen 21:33; Yahweh, The LORD, Yireh, Our Provider, Gen 22:18; Healer, Peace, Shepherd, Righteousness, Presence, Sanctification, Our Rock, Fortress, Strong Tower, Etc... We honor and hallow ALL Your Titles, Attributes, Your Name! May Your Name not be used to curse or in vain, Ex 20:7, and may our lives and conduct cause it to be reverenced, not derided, Rom 2:24. May the world be enlightened or compelled to reverence Your ineffable Name and Your Christ's and May Your Glory cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas, Numbers 14:21, Ps 72:19, Isa 11:9, Hab 2:14, Phil 2:10-11...

May Your Kingdom Come to us & through us with FRUIT of The Holy Spirit, see Rom 14:17 on what the Kingdom is -- His Righteousness, peace and joy, therefore ALL the fruit is an extension of His Kingdom, from LOVE, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, Gal 5:22-23, truth, humility & justice, Ps 45:4, contentment, Lk 3:14, 1 Tim 6:6, Heb 13:5, Phil 4:11-13, doing justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God, Micah 6:8. You desire mercy, not sacrifice, Hos 6:6. We ask for the GIFTS of The Spirit to be evident in us, our churches, families, and to Your people throughout the world, from ministry GIFTS to equip The Body of Christ through Your Gospel Officers until we reach unity in faith and knowledge of The Son of God and the mature stature of Christ Himself, Eph 4:12-13, (which has not yet happened so such workers must of necessity still be present and are much needed, even required, (again, see the reason they're given and conclude we haven't reached The Lord's goal yet, so they're still needed), Eph 4:13, apostles, (missionaries/church planters), prophets, (encouragers/exhorters/visionaries), evangelists, pastors and teachers), Eph 4:11-13, to The GIFTS of miracles (signs, wonders), healings, faith, prophecy, words of wisdom, knowledge, tongues, interpretation of such tongues, administration, leadership, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, Rom 12:5-8, 1 Cor 12:4-11. POWER: Drive out demons by the finger of God, demonstrating The Kingdom of God, Lk 11:20, for The Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, 1 Cor 4:20. May Your Son return and the Kingdom flourish, being fully manifest. Come quickly Lord Jesus, Rev 22:17, Rev 22:20. Mostly the POWER to live a Holy Life overflowing with LOVE for God and others, singing and making melody from "singing seminaries" and "the walking practice of evangelism" is the best fruit and sign of the Kingdom, Heb 12:4. ***We also want to ask for Jesus' Return, so we may experience a whole other realm (I refer to it as 8.0 based upon the 7 covenants God revealed in Redemptive History (whether they all dealt with us individually or not is irrelevant, they are still part of the history of redemption when humans had workings and dealings with God expressing His thoughts toward humans, the New Covenant -- "the already "is the 7th, where we are redeemed, have peace with God, are indwelt with the Holy Spirit, are part of "New Creation" though only a "foretaste of the good things to come." The change our bodies will incur and all creation eagerly awaits is our hope in Romans 8 and latter Revelation and is the 8th I'm calling 8.0 where ALL of these things will be realized in a greater capacity and duration and God's Kingdom will have full expression once it's fully come on earth as it is heaven again -- the "not yet," -- "May Your Kingdom Come and Your Will be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven," Matt 6:10.

May Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- Keeping in mind the Kingdom Coming, as described above, in differing degrees, the already and the not yet, we ask here in the already that we may know, submit to and do Your will for our lives individually and collectively as the church, as Jesus did during His time on earth, Phil 2:9-9, our whole lives be increasingly lived to please You, knowing the Trinity, living in Your presence moment by moment, and making You known as a by product, rejoicing in trials and weakness, as well as power demonstrations when it gives You glory, Mt 28:19-20, Rom 1:5, Rom 15:18. May we abide in Christ, with freedom to pray, and power to bear fruit, thereby making disciples, and thus proving we are disciples, John 15:7-8, might bear some fruit wherever we go, Rom 1:13, 1 Cor 9:2, 2 Cor 3:2-3, specifically by going, preaching faith in Jesus suffering and dying for our sins, repentance, baptism, forgiveness of sins and obedience to all that He commanded, being witnesses to these facts under His authority, commission by this union with Jesus through The Holy Spirit, Mark 16:15-16, Luke 24:46-48, Matt 28:19-20, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. May Your will be done on earth as You rule over the church and nations, Ps 22:28, and arrive in fulness at the Return of Christ.

Give us Each Day our Daily Bread: Spiritual -- we can't live by bread alone but every Word of God, Deut 8:3, Matt 4:4, Lk 4:4. Meet our spiritual, emotional, social, physical and financial needs mightily, Phil 4:19, so we can love You with all our heart, soul, mind, will, emotions, physical strength and finances, Mk 12:30, and our neighbors, Mk 12:31, even the lost, Matt 9:36, and even enemies, Matt 5:44, as ourselves -- and see others as Christ, who looked beyond his own interests, to the interests of others, considering others as more important than we, Phil 2:1-5.

Forgive Our Debts as We Forgive Our Debtors... We confess we've sinned against You, Rom 3:23, 1 Jn 1:8, 1 Jn 1:10 (name specific sins and areas of ongoing struggles), and others, receive forgiveness, Lk 1:77, & pray FOR those who sin against us, (by name and specific offenses), asking they'd repent and be saved, Job 42:7-16, entrusting their souls to a faithful creator and recognizing it is He who alone who is in fact the one appointed both to save and to judge, Romans 12:9, 1 Pet 4:19.

Lead us Not into Temptation, but Deliver us from evil... Keep us from temptation and evil, Luke 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, lies, evil, fear, Zeph 3:13, evil people, imposters, deception, 2 Tim 3:13, false believers, 2 Cor 11:16, 2 Tim 3:5, Tit 1:16, temptation and the evil one, Mat 6:13, Jn 17:15. Give us angelic protection, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14.

For It's Your Kingdom, (Everlasting Kingdom which Cannot Be Destroyed, Dan 7:18), It's Your Power, (All Power in Heaven and Earth has been Given to Me, Matt 28:18), and Your Glory, Forever... (Not unto us O Lord, but unto Your Name Be Glory, Ps 115:1)... We Thank You for hearing, Mk 11:24, Amen, in Jesus' Name, in Him All The Promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and awe, recognizing the profound wisdom and structure of the Lord’s Prayer as given to us by Jesus Himself. This prayer is not merely a recitation but a sacred pattern, a divine blueprint, that aligns our hearts with the will of the Father, orders our priorities, and anchors our souls in His truth. As we reflect on its depth, we are reminded that prayer is not about bending God’s will to ours but surrendering our will to His, that His Kingdom may come and His name be hallowed in every corner of our lives and this broken world.

Our Father in heaven, we begin by exalting Your holy name, for You alone are worthy of all praise, honor, and glory. You are Elohim, the Creator of all things, El Shaddai, our all-sufficient Provider, Yahweh, the covenant-keeping God who sees us, knows us, and loves us with an everlasting love. We hallow Your name, not just with our lips but with our lives, that every thought, word, and deed may reflect Your holiness. Forgive us for the times we have taken Your name in vain, whether through careless speech, hypocrisy, or lives that do not match the profession of our faith. Let the world see Your glory through us, that they may know You are the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. May Your name be revered in our families, our churches, our workplaces, and our nations, that all may bow before You in worship.

We cry out for Your Kingdom to come, Lord, for we long to see Your righteousness, peace, and joy reign in every heart and every sphere of life. Your Kingdom is not a matter of talk but of power, and we ask for the Holy Spirit to manifest His fruit and gifts in us, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, so that we may be living testimonies of Your grace. Raise up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip Your people for the work of ministry, that the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and the knowledge of Your Son. We pray for the power to cast out demons, heal the sick, and proclaim the Gospel with boldness, that signs and wonders may follow those who believe. And above all, we pray for the power to live holy lives, overflowing with love for You and for others, that the world may see Christ in us. Come quickly, Lord Jesus, and establish Your Kingdom in its fullness, that every knee may bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We surrender our plans, our dreams, and our very lives to You, asking that Your purposes be accomplished in and through us. Teach us to abide in Christ, that we may bear much fruit and prove to be His disciples. Give us the courage to go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that Jesus has commanded. May we be faithful witnesses, even in the face of persecution, knowing that the harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few. We pray for the nations, that rulers and authorities may submit to Your lordship, and that Your justice and mercy may prevail. Let Your will be done in our marriages, our families, our churches, and our communities, that Your name may be glorified in all things.

Give us this day our daily bread. We trust You, our Provider, to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. You have promised that if we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things, our physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs, will be added unto us. Help us to be content in every circumstance, whether in plenty or in want, knowing that You are our Shepherd and we shall not lack. Teach us to steward Your resources wisely, that we may be generous toward others, especially the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the stranger. May we not be anxious about tomorrow but live each day in dependence upon You, our faithful God.

Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. We confess our sins before You, Lord, our pride, our selfishness, our idolatry, our unbelief, and every way we have fallen short of Your glory. We ask for Your cleansing and renewal, that we may walk in the light as You are in the light. And as we have been forgiven, so we choose to forgive those who have sinned against us. We release them from the debt they owe us, just as You have released us from the debt we owed You. We pray for their repentance and salvation, entrusting them to Your justice and mercy. Help us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and pray for those who persecute us, that we may be children of our Father in heaven.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. We recognize our weakness and the schemes of the evil one, who seeks to devour us. Strengthen us, Lord, to stand firm in the faith, clothed in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Protect us from the lies of the enemy, from the deception of false teachers, and from the allure of sin. Send Your holy angels to encamp around us, that no harm may befall us. Guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, that we may not be led astray by the cares of this world or the deceitfulness of riches.

For Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We acknowledge that all authority belongs to You, that You reign supreme over all creation, and that every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, for You alone are worthy. We thank You that You hear our prayers, for we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name, the name by which we are saved, the name through which we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We seal this prayer with the assurance that in Christ, all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen."

May this prayer not only shape our words but transform our lives, that we may walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received, to the praise of Your glorious grace. Amen.

We're grateful for the heart behind what you shared. You want to put the Father first, His name honored, His kingdom and His will sought, and then bring daily needs, forgiveness, and deliverance from evil before Him in that order. That desire to pray the way Jesus taught us is beautiful.

What encourages us is how you described this not as words to rush through or repeat perfectly, but as a pattern to consider and mean. We have found it helps to think of prayer that way, as training over time rather than trying to get it all right at once. Like preparing for a long run, small faithful moments shape us gradually, and we can see ourselves as works in progress with the Lord, growing a little more each day as we keep coming to Him.

If it would be helpful, you might try lingering on just one movement of that pattern each morning this week instead of carrying the whole outline at once. One day rest in what it means to call Him Father, another day ask for His kingdom to be seen in your home or work, another day bring your daily needs simply and honestly. Keeping it unhurried can keep it real.

Father, thank You for inviting us to know You as Father through Jesus and for hearing us when we pray. We ask You to deepen our friend's communion with You, to give wisdom and peace for each day, and to keep them close to You in thought, word and deed. There is much to rejoice in when a soul desires to pray not with vain repetitions but after the manner our Lord taught, with understanding and with ardent affection. You have done well to see that this prayer is a pattern, an outline of holy desires, and not a mere form to be mindlessly repeated. As has been said, take heed that you rush not to the holy exercise as the horse rushes into the battle. Know where your port will be before you venture out upon the sea of prayer. Our Lord would have us come reverently, humbly, yet eagerly, as children to a Father.

Your beginning is right, to seek first the Father, His honor, His kingdom, His will. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. How great a privilege that through the shed blood and resurrection of Jesus, and the pouring out of the Spirit of adoption, we may cry Abba, Father. He who taught us to say Our Father has Himself found a ransom for us, that we might be delivered from going down to the pit. Let your first petition therefore be that His gracious and compassionate name may be hallowed in your thoughts, words and deeds, and that your life may not cause it to be derided, but reverenced. Pray that His name and the name of Christ may be glorified till His glory covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.

Then pray, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is the great prayer of the Church, and it is commanded by God Himself. The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but of power, and it is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Pray for its fruit to be seen in you, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, and for grace to do justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Pray that His will may be done by you as it is done by angels above, that you may be consecrated unto holy service, separated from the pollutions of this present evil world. For without sanctification we shall be unfit for service, and how can we be said to be saved from sin if sin still has dominion over us. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things shall be added unto you.

Then you may rightly turn to your own need. Give us this day our daily bread. He who delivered you from the power of darkness will surely give you bread and water. He who gave His own dear Son to put away your sin will not withhold what is needful for body and soul, that you may live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. And pray, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, confessing your sins before Him and looking only to Jesus, for the way to come to Him is to trust Him, and humbly forgiving those who have sinned against you, entrusting judgment to Him who judges righteously. And pray, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliverance is of the Lord, and He has given commandment to save His people. He can snap the bands of old habits and set the captive free, and keep you by angelic charge and by His own power from the evil one, from false ways and from fear.

For His is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Let this be your comfort, that if He has delivered you from the tremendous power of sin, He will certainly deliver you all the way through, till you wake up in that other state and are admitted through the rent veil to behold His glory. Come then daily to the throne of grace with this pattern upon your heart, trusting not in your much speaking, but in Him who ever lives to intercede. May the Lord sanctify you through His truth, make you a faithful and working disciple, and hear your prayer and answer you for Jesus sake. Amen.
