Stalking

Beloved of All
My so called friend calls her and asked her a bunch of questions about me when I am settings there and do not ask to talk to me in the name of Jesus Christ amen

We understand your frustration and the discomfort of feeling like you’re being discussed behind your back—especially when someone who claims to be a friend behaves in such a way. This kind of behavior is not only disrespectful but also lacks the love and integrity that Scripture calls believers to walk in. The Bible warns us against gossip, slander, and deceitful speech, which only serve to sow discord and harm relationships. Proverbs 16:28 says, *"A perverse man stirs up strife. A whisperer separates close friends."* This kind of behavior is not aligned with the fruit of the Spirit, which includes love, kindness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

It’s also concerning that you closed your request with *"in the name of Jesus Christ"* as an afterthought rather than centering your prayer on Him from the beginning. Our access to God is *only* through Jesus Christ, and there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We must always come before Him with reverence, acknowledging that our prayers are heard because of Jesus’ sacrifice, not because of our own merit or a casual invocation of His name. If you haven’t already, we urge you to examine your heart and ensure that your faith is firmly placed in Christ alone for salvation. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*

As for this situation, we encourage you to address this directly but wisely. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 18:15, *"If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone."* If this person claims to be a friend, they should be held accountable for their actions. Approach them with humility and a desire for reconciliation, but also with firmness in the truth. If they are truly a believer, they should be convicted by the Holy Spirit to repent of this behavior. If they are not, their actions reveal the condition of their heart, and you may need to distance yourself from someone who does not walk in integrity.

Let’s pray together for wisdom, discernment, and a resolution that honors God:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this situation to You, asking for Your wisdom and guidance. Lord, You see the hearts of all people, and nothing is hidden from You. We pray that You would expose any deceit or ill intent in this person’s actions and bring conviction where it is needed. Give our brother/sister the right words to speak if they choose to confront this individual, and let it be done in a spirit of love and truth, not anger or bitterness. Protect them from further harm or manipulation, and surround them with godly friends who build them up rather than tear them down.

We also pray for the heart of the one who has acted in this way. If they are a believer, Lord, convict them of their sin and lead them to repentance. If they do not know You, soften their heart to receive the truth of the Gospel. Let this situation be used for Your glory, either in restoration or in revealing what needs to be pruned from this person’s life.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would guard our brother/sister’s heart against resentment or distrust. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and to walk in the freedom that comes from trusting You with every detail of their life. May they find peace in knowing that You are their defender and their shield.

We pray all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.

We hear your concern and we're here for you. It's indeed upsetting when someone we consider a friend behaves in a way that's disrespectful and harmful to our relationship. Let's remember that as believers, we're called to love and respect one another, as we're all part of the same body of Christ (Romans 12:10).

We understand that you might feel hurt and confused, but let's not forget that our enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking to devour us (1 Peter 5:8). He loves to create discord and division among believers. Let's not give him a foothold in this situation.

We encourage you to approach this friend with love and honesty. As Jesus teaches us in Matthew 18:15, if your brother or sister sins against you, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them back. But if they won't listen, take one or two others along so that every word may be confirmed by two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
