Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear the deep weariness in your voice, the weight of spiritual oppression, the exhaustion of constant demands, and the shame of struggling with sin. You are not alone in this battle, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting every concern to the throne of grace where mercy and help are found in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Let us address each area with the truth of God’s Word and the power of prayer.

First, we rebuke the spiritual warfare that has targeted you since childhood. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). You are not powerless, you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We take authority in the name of Jesus over every demonic assignment against you, commanding every spirit of oppression, torment, and fear to flee now. The Lord has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). The disturbing dreams must cease, we declare that your sleep will be sweet, undisturbed by the enemy’s schemes, and filled with the rest that only God can provide (Proverbs 3:24).

Your overwhelm is real, and we pray for divine order in your life. The Lord is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). We ask Him to give you wisdom in managing your time, to establish boundaries with those who constantly demand from you, and to grant you moments of quiet and solitude to recharge. Jesus Himself withdrew to lonely places to pray (Luke 5:16), you are not wrong for needing rest. We pray for a better schedule, that your nights would end at a reasonable hour, and that you would find balance in work, rest, and fellowship with the Lord. If it is His will for you to pursue additional employment, we ask that He open the right doors and provide opportunities that align with His purpose for you. If staying at your current jobs is His plan, we pray that every issue with coworkers and work environments would be resolved, that favor would rest upon you, and that you would find joy and fulfillment in your labor (Colossians 3:23).

The struggle with sexual sin is heavy, and we want you to know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The enemy uses shame to keep you trapped, but Jesus came to set you free. We rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation that has been increasing its attacks, and we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). The Bible tells us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to take every thought captive to obey Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). We pray that the Lord would strengthen you to resist temptation, to fill your mind with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), and to replace maladaptive daydreaming with godly meditation. Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We also encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted believer, sin thrives in darkness, but walking in the light brings healing (James 5:16).

Your concern for the African American community being set free from false teachings is close to God’s heart. We pray that the eyes of hearts would be enlightened to know the hope to which He has called them, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the immeasurable greatness of His power toward those who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19). May the truth of God’s Word prevail, and may pastors and leaders rise up to shepherd His people with integrity and sound doctrine (Titus 1:9).

For your family battling the flu, we pray for complete healing and restoration. The Lord is the Great Physician, and by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that no one would be made sicker while caring for others and that your father’s cough would subside completely. For your beloved cats, we pray for their healing as well, may the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows (Matthew 10:29), bring comfort and health to them. We trust that He will provide a way for their care, even if it means leading you to a compassionate vet or resources you haven’t yet discovered.

Your medical diet is important for your health, and we pray for discipline and strength to follow it faithfully. The Lord gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29). For your friend with multiple health struggles, we ask for divine intervention, may the Lord ease their pain, strengthen their body, and grant them peace in the midst of their trials. You desire to be a suitable helpmeet to your boyfriend as you court with the goal of marriage. We pray that the Lord would equip you to be a godly wife, one who encourages, respects, and supports him in his walk with Christ (Ephesians 5:22-33). May your relationship be rooted in Christ, honoring to God, and free from any sexual immorality as you wait for marriage.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every struggle, every tear, and every burden. We thank You that You are a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and torment that has plagued him/her, and we declare that the blood of Jesus has broken every chain. Lord, set him/her free from spiritual warfare, from disturbing dreams, and from every attack of the enemy. Fill his/her mind with Your peace and his/her heart with Your presence.

Father, we ask for wisdom and discernment regarding work. If it is Your will for him/her to take on additional employment, open the right doors and provide favor. If staying at the current jobs is Your plan, bring resolution to every issue and grant him/her joy in the work of his/her hands. Establish boundaries, Lord, and give him/her the strength to say no when needed. Help him/her to find rest in You and to trust You with every detail of life.

We confess the struggle with sexual sin, Lord, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Break the power of temptation, and replace every impure thought with Your truth. Strengthen him/her to flee from sin and to walk in purity, knowing that You are faithful to provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13). Restore the joy of salvation and fill him/her with Your Holy Spirit.

Heal our brother/sister’s family from the flu, Lord, and protect those caring for them. Bring healing to their cats and provide for their needs. Grant discipline in following the medical diet and strength to overcome every challenge. For his/her friend with health struggles, we ask for Your healing touch and comfort. And for his/her courtship, Lord, may it be pleasing to You, honoring to Your Word, and a testimony of Your love.

We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful. Thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how much you are carrying, and we do not take it lightly. The part that seems heaviest right now is the shame around the sexual thoughts and the depression underneath them. You are not beyond help, and you are not alone. One concrete next step is to tell a trusted pastor, elder, or Christian counselor what you have told us. Shame grows in silence, and you need someone who will pray with you, help you set guardrails, especially around bedtime, and walk with you through the depression. Falling asleep is often when the mind is least guarded, so that is a real battlefront. Practical help there matters.

For the late nights, choose one small change, like a set wind-down time or putting screens away earlier, and ask someone to help you hold to it. You do not have to fix everything at once.

Lord, we bring this weary sister before You. You know the warfare she has faced since childhood, the disturbing dreams, the overwhelm, and the shame that keeps pulling her down. We ask for Your mercy and steady presence. Break the cycle she has fallen into, and give her courage to bring this into the light with a trusted believer. Grant wisdom about her jobs and schedule, and give her true rest. We ask for healing for her family, her friend, and her cats. Guide her courtship in purity and wisdom, and help her honor You with her body and mind. In Jesus name. Amen.

The warfare you describe is not new, for the seed of the woman has been at enmity with the serpent since the fall. But the Captain of our salvation has bruised the serpent’s head, and in Jesus Christ there is healing for every wound. The tree of life yields its leaves for the healing of the nations; the very least thing about Christ is medicine for sin sick souls. I have laid your burden before the throne of grace, and I would have you do the same with open hands and a contrite heart.

Concerning the dreams that torment you, I pray that the Lord would set a watch over your mind in the night, that you would meditate on Scripture before sleep, and that He would give His beloved sleep. The enemy loves to assault the imagination when the will is half asleep, but the Holy Spirit is stronger than every midnight terror. When sin is put away, God has no cause of warfare against His creature; yet we still wrestle against principalities and powers, and we must not yield the gates of slumber to unclean thoughts. Pray, “Lead us not into temptation,” and then do not go into it. The man who prays that prayer and then lies down to entertain lustful or wandering thoughts is a liar before God. Do not feed the maladaptive daydreaming; cut it off at the first motion. Fill the last waking moments with psalms and prayer, not with idle fancies. If you are using sexual thoughts as an outlet for depression, you are pouring poison into a wound and calling it medicine. The true remedy is not sin but Christ. He has pardoned you before and will do so again, for pardon and healing stand together in the Cross. Run to Him now; do not let shame keep you from mercy.

As for the overwhelming demands of others, you are a creature and not the Redeemer of all. Ask the Lord for wisdom to order your days, to close the day at a fitting hour, and to refuse burdens He has not appointed. Seek first the kingdom of God, and the lesser cares will find their place. I cannot tell you whether to stay at your present employment or to seek two jobs; but I pray the Lord would make the path plain and bless your coworkers. Let no lawful labor swallow up the soul. The best restoration of spiritual strength is not found in a crowded schedule, but in getting near to Christ and staying near to Him. If you gain two jobs and lose the secret place of prayer, you have made a poor bargain.

For your household, I pray the Lord would break the fever, restore your father’s breath, and guard all who care for the sick. The God who made the sparrow can also heal your cats; I ask Him to spare them pain and provide for their need, but let not your heart be more anxious for them than for the state of your own soul. I also pray for your friend who suffers many bodily afflictions, that the Lord would be his portion and strength. For the community you name, I pray for deliverance from false teachings and for faithful preachers of Christ crucified to rise up among them, so that the healing leaves may be known to all.

In your courtship, I pray for purity and wisdom, that the relationship would be ordered toward a righteous marriage if the Lord so wills, and that you would be a true encouragement to him in all holiness. May the Lord give you strength also to keep the diet required by your body, for self control in small things strengthens the soul for greater conflicts.

Above all, bring your guilt and your weariness to Jesus Christ. You have been set free once; He is not less able now. Sin is crucified by the same Cross that brings atonement. Let the past fall under His blood, and let the present hour be one of renewed repentance and faith. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and your many burdens have been laid before the Lord with care. You carry a great weight, and it is right that you have brought it to God in prayer, for He alone is our refuge when troubles press upon us from every side.

Concerning the spiritual warfare and the disturbing dreams that have followed you since you were young, remember that God is faithful. He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape so that you may endure it. Temptation itself is not a sign that the gospel has failed or that you have been abandoned. At times God permits such trials to lengthen our prayer and to draw us more closely to Himself, as a loving parent allows a fear to be felt so that the child will run again to safety. When these attacks and dreams come, flee at once to Christ in prayer, call upon His name, and remain there. Do not be troubled as though His promises have been broken. He gives patience and He brings release in His time. Continue to pray even when you do not at once receive what you ask, for perseverance itself is part of His mercy toward you.

You also describe feeling overwhelmed, with something always demanding your attention, with nights ending too late and no rest. Pray that God would give you order and wisdom for your schedule, that you may live with moderation and keep a holy rhythm of work, prayer and sleep. The medicine of moderation is healing, and a disciplined life helps guard both body and soul.

For your work, we pray that God would grant you clear wisdom. Whether you remain where you are or the Lord opens new doors, including the provision of a primary job and perhaps additional work as you need, may He make the path plain and bring peace to you and your coworkers. Ask Him for contentment and diligence where you are now, and for guidance for what is next.

You have confessed with honesty and shame the struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and sexual thoughts, especially at night, and that you have given in to them again after God had once set you free. This honesty is not to be hidden but brought into the light. Scripture calls us to renounce the hidden things of shame and to walk without deceit before God. The shame you feel is a sign that your conscience is awake, and that is better than to be unaware. Yet shame alone does not free you. Sin must be turned from, not indulged as an outlet for depression or loneliness. What was done in secret must be confessed to God, who is merciful, and forsaken. He who delivered you before can deliver you again, but the way of escape must be taken. Guard your mind as you fall asleep with prayer and with the word of God, turn from fantasies the moment they arise, and do not provide opportunity for them. If you fall, do not remain in despair but repent quickly and return to Christ, who bore shame on the cross so that we might be set free from it. Pray also for healing from depression, that you would not seek comfort in sin but in the presence of the Lord who alone can satisfy and restore you.

For your family who are sick with the flu, and for your father whose cough has returned, we pray for healing and for protection for those who care for the sick. For your cats who have wounded themselves and for the one who made a strange sound, we pray that God in His kindness over all His creation would keep them healthy, and that He would provide what you need to care for them even when resources are lacking. For your own need to keep to a medical diet, we pray for discipline and strength to remain faithful for the sake of your health. For your close friend who bears so many afflictions of body, fibromyalgia and blood disorders and blood pressure and prostate concerns and asthma, we pray for mercy, relief, and sustaining grace, and that you may be a true and prayerful comfort to him.

You asked prayer that the African American community and all people would be set free from false teachings. We join in that prayer, that God would lead all of us away from error and into the truth of the gospel, which is salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and that we would walk in His word with clarity and faithfulness.

For your courtship, we pray that you would be a godly encouragement and true help to your boyfriend, and that both of you would walk in purity and wisdom. Courtship is meant to prepare for the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and all intimacy belongs only within that covenant. Pray that God would keep you both from sexual sin, that you would encourage one another toward holiness, and that He would give you both clear discernment about your future together according to His will.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come through Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior. Have mercy on Your child who is weary and pressed on every side. Grant deliverance from the power of the enemy and peace in the night, removing disturbing dreams and giving quiet sleep. Provide a way of escape in every temptation and strength to take it. Order this life with wisdom, give rest and a faithful schedule, and guide all decisions concerning work. Forgive and cleanse from all sexual sin, set the mind free from impure thoughts and vain imaginings, and heal the sadness of heart that seeks comfort in the wrong place. Touch this family with healing, protect caregivers, restore the father, heal the friend who suffers in body, and keep these beloved pets in health. Grant discipline in bodily care and grace to walk in truth, and keep this courtship pure and pleasing to You. Lead us all away from false teaching into Your truth. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting not in our strength but in Your faithfulness. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, to pray, to read His word, and to walk in the light. He hears, He is near, and He will not forsake those who flee to Him.

Your honesty before the Lord is heard, and God sees the weight you have been carrying for so long. It makes sense that you feel overwhelmed when there is constant pressure from every side, broken sleep, spiritual opposition, and people always needing something from you. God is not distant from that exhaustion. He invites you to cast your cares on Him because He cares for you, and even when we feel surrounded, He remains faithful.

For the spiritual warfare and the vivid, disturbing dreams, remember that being a follower of Jesus does not mean you will be free from trouble. In this world we will have tribulation, but the Lord is with His people and gives victory in the midst of it. The enemy solicits us toward evil and toward fear, but God never solicits anyone to sin. He is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted or tested beyond what you can bear with Him. With every temptation He makes a way of escape so you can endure it. Ask Him to guard your mind and your sleep, to fill the night with His peace, and to teach you to use His Word as your defense. When fear or strange dreams come, you can speak truth to your own soul rather than letting discouragement speak to you, reminding yourself that God has saved you from your enemies and that you can boast in Him all day long.

For the sexual thoughts and maladaptive daydreaming, especially at night, please hear this with grace. Temptation itself is not sin. Jesus Himself was tempted and was without sin. Temptation is common to all of us because we live in these bodies with real desires. Sin comes when desire is allowed to conceive and we yield to it and follow the path suggested to us. That means there is a choice in every temptation, whether to walk according to the flesh or according to the Spirit. The flesh promises immediate fulfillment if you will just turn aside from God's way, but that shortcut never leads to life. Your body is not your own if you belong to Christ, it is a member of Christ and meant to be used for Him, not for impurity. God calls us to let sexual purity be the standard among His people, with thanksgiving instead of impurity or foolish talk.

Because God always provides a way of escape, the call is to take it. Often that means fleeing, as Joseph fled when he was pressured day after day. It takes more courage to run than to stay. Practically at night, that may mean turning from the thought the moment it comes, praying aloud, quoting Scripture, getting up briefly to pray, keeping your mind fixed on what is pure, and not lingering to see how far the thought will go. If you have fallen, do not stay in shame. Shame can keep you silent, but confession and turning back to Jesus brings cleansing. God has set you free before and He can do it again. Depression can make these thoughts feel like an outlet or an escape, but they will only deepen the heaviness. Bring the depression itself to Him honestly, and preach truth to yourself rather than letting despair preach to you.

For your schedule and feeling that you just want to be left alone, pray for wisdom to set healthy boundaries and for rest. God develops patience in us as our faith is tested, and often His answer includes learning to wait on Him rather than carrying everything at once. Ask Him to order your days so nights do not end so late and you have space for sleep, work, and quiet with Him.

For your jobs, pray for clear wisdom about whether to stay or to seek new work, and for grace to do your work well where you are now. Whether you have one job or more, ask the Lord to provide what you need and to help you and your coworkers see improvement in the difficult issues you face. The Lord was with Joseph even as a slave and caused him to prosper in that place, which reminds us that God's presence can make us fruitful even in hard assignments.

For your family with the flu, including your father who is coughing again, pray for healing and for protection for those who are caring for the sick. For your cats who have hurt themselves and made strange sounds, it is right to love and pray for the creatures God has entrusted to you, asking Him to keep them healthy when you have no means for a vet. For your own need to stay disciplined in eating for your medical condition, ask for strength to choose what is helpful for your body each day. For your close friend with fibromyalgia, thalassemia, blood pressure issues, prostate concerns and asthma, pray for mercy, relief, and faithful medical help.

For your courtship, pray that you would be an encouragement who helps your boyfriend walk more closely with Jesus, and that both of you would honor God with purity. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy belongs only within that covenant. A courtship that honors Christ will pursue holiness, accountability, and wisdom, fleeing anything that would lead you both into impurity, so that your relationship builds toward that kind of faithful commitment if it is the Lord's will.

For the wider concern you carry for many who are led by false teaching, pray that all people would be set free by the truth of the gospel, that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that they would come to know His Word rightly and follow Him.

May the Lord give you quiet nights, a clear way of escape in every temptation, strength to choose the Spirit over the flesh, healing in your home, provision in your work, and a renewed mind that rests in His faithful care.
