Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. You are not alone in this battle, and we lift you up before the throne of grace, knowing that our God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

First, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, torment, and spiritual warfare that has plagued you since childhood. The enemy has no right to harass you, for Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8). We command every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, and every demonic influence to flee from you in the name of Jesus Christ. You are a child of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that the Lord would surround you with His hedge of protection, that no evil would befall you, nor any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also take authority over the disturbing dreams and nightmares that have troubled your sleep. The Lord gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2), and we pray that He would grant you restful, peaceful sleep, free from the enemy’s interference. We bind every spirit of torment and declare that your mind would be renewed by the Word of God (Romans 12:2). May the Lord fill your thoughts with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8).

We recognize the overwhelming weight you carry, both spiritually and in your daily life. The enemy seeks to wear you down, but we declare that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). We pray for divine order in your schedule, that the Lord would grant you wisdom to manage your time and priorities according to His will. May He open doors of opportunity for you, whether in your current jobs or new ones, and grant you favor with your coworkers and supervisors. We ask that He would provide for your needs, including the possibility of a second job if it aligns with His plan for you (Philippians 4:19).

We must address the struggle with sexual sin that you have confessed. There is no shame in bringing this before the Lord, for He already knows and offers forgiveness and freedom. The enemy uses temptation to ensnare, but God provides a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of lust and impurity in the name of Jesus and declare that you are set free from its grip. We pray that you would flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that the Lord would renew your mind and strengthen your spirit to resist temptation. Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted believer and to fill your mind with Scripture, meditating on God’s Word day and night (Psalm 1:2).

We also lift up the African American community, praying that the Lord would expose and dismantle every false teaching that has taken root. May the truth of the Gospel prevail, and may hearts be turned to the Word of God as the ultimate authority (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We pray for revival and a return to sound doctrine, that many would come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

For your family, we pray for complete healing from the flu and protection for those caring for you. May the Lord strengthen their immune systems and restore their health quickly (Psalm 103:3). We also lift up your beloved cats, asking the Lord to heal their wounds and keep them in good health. He cares for even the smallest creatures (Matthew 10:29), and we trust Him to watch over them.

We pray for your friend battling multiple health issues, asking the Lord to grant him strength, healing, and relief from his symptoms. May the Great Physician touch his body and bring restoration (Jeremiah 30:17).

Finally, we pray for your discipline in following your medical diet, that the Lord would give you the strength and self-control to honor Him with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). May He provide the resources you need, including access to a good veterinarian, and grant you wisdom in all your decisions.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine intervention in every area of their life. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and torment that has plagued them. We declare Your protection over their mind, body, and spirit. Grant them restful sleep, free from nightmares and disturbing dreams. Order their days according to Your will, and provide for their every need.

Father, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing from the sin of sexual immorality. Strengthen them to resist temptation and fill their mind with Your truth. Set them free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate thoughts, and renew their mind in Christ Jesus. Lord, we pray for healing for their family, their pets, and their friend. Touch them with Your healing hand and restore them to full health.

We ask for wisdom in their job situation, that You would open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Grant them favor and peace in their workplace. Father, we pray for the African American community, that Your truth would prevail and that hearts would turn to You. May revival break out, and may many come to know You as Lord.

We trust in Your faithfulness, Lord, and we declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours shall prosper. You are their refuge and strength, and we know that You will never leave them nor forsake them. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how exhausting this season has been for you, not just one or two pressures, but a constant piling on that leaves you wanting to be left alone. When the warfare has been with you since childhood, even small additional demands can feel enormous. It makes sense that you are overwhelmed.

One thing that catches our attention is what you shared about the vivid dreams, the daydreaming, and the sexual thoughts that especially press in while you are falling asleep. That drowsy, in-between state is when our defenses are low and our minds drift, it is actually one of the most common times for intrusive thoughts to surface. This is not a sign that you are uniquely broken or beyond help. It may mean the enemy knows exactly which mental doorway is least guarded, but it also means you can learn to set a different guard there. Small, steady habits before bed, even five minutes of quiet, thankful reflection on one truth about God, can sometimes redirect that drift without you having to white-knuckle your way through temptation. This is not about willpower but about slowly training your heart in a new direction.

For the job decisions and the schedule that keeps ending your nights late, we would simply encourage you to pick one small, concrete change you can actually control this week, maybe a firmer cut-off time for screens or tasks, rather than trying to fix everything at once. You are carrying quite a lot, including concern for your family's health and your cats. If the flu symptoms or the cough persist, it may be worth encouraging your dad to see a doctor, just to be safe.

We are praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, You see all of it, the years of spiritual assault, the exhaustion, the shame over thoughts that feel out of control, the weight of so many needs around this person. We ask for quiet. We ask for deep rest of mind and body. Turn the lying voice of the enemy into silence, and give this person wisdom for the daily decisions, jobs, schedule, discipline toward health. Guard the family from further sickness, and provide for every practical need, including the beloved pets. Most of all, restore hope and make Your nearness real tonight. In Your strong name we pray, amen.

Your present trial is deep and manifold, but the Lord has brought you forth from Egypt before, and He shall do so again. You speak of warfare that has targeted you since youth, this is the bondage under sin, the work of the devil, yet know this: deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. You are not called to fight in your own strength but to look to your heavenly Father, altogether and alone, for sanctification. The enemy presses hard with those vivid dreams and invading thoughts, especially as you fall asleep, but you must never go into temptation. The man who prays, "Lead us not into temptation," and then yields knowingly to those thoughts as an outlet for depression is lying before God. Flee; do not entertain the first whisper. When the suggestion arises, cry out at once, "Lord, deliver me from this mischief; let it do me no hurt." He has found a ransom for you; the clock of mercy struck in heaven the hour of your deliverance long ago at Calvary. Shall you then live as though still in bondage? God forbid.

The depression you describe, that heavy spirit of overwhelming sorrow, is akin to Egypt, those states of sadness into which God’s people come far too frequently. Yet remember, when Israel came out, there was not one feeble person among their tribes. The Lord’s deliverance is accompanied by health and strength. Do not seek escape through the back door of sinful imagination; that is Satan’s expedient when we imagine God has forsaken us. He has not. The same Savior who set you free before can break these chains again, for He has delivered us from the power of darkness. Be more earnest after heavenly silver and gold than about hurrying from the scene of conflict. Your weariness, the sense that every five seconds something else assails you, this is the chafing of the yoke. But the Lord has chastened you sorely, not to crush you, but that you may declare His works. Begin now; resolve, "I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord."

Concerning your labors and schedule, wisdom is indeed needed. If you are saved, you must seek to serve; put on the armor and go forth to the holy warfare of daily duty. Yet a disordered life that ends in late nights opens the door wider to the enemy’s assaults. Pray for discipline not as a mere resolution of the flesh, but as a fruit of the Spirit who has not given you a spirit of bondage again to fear. And for your family and pets suffering sickness, cast your care upon Him. He who notes the sparrow’s fall will not despise the anxieties of His children over their afflicted household. The prayer for your friend with manifold ailments and for the African American community to be delivered from false teaching is a cry God delights to hear. He would have His church free from ecclesiastical discord and walking in the light. Lay hold of the promise: "He will deliver us." Let this be your song even before the full answer dawns, for gratitude for deliverance begins in the night, and the assurance of His ransom secures your liberty.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How great is the affection of God, who permits these trials not to crush you but to draw you closer to Himself, as a mother allows a child to be startled so that they flee into her arms. There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man; God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able, but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. The enemy set upon the woman in the garden when she was alone, and so he assails you in the quiet of night with vivid dreams and burning thoughts, hoping to find you apart from the company of grace. But even this can become a means of deliverance if you cry out to the One who was led into the wilderness to be tempted and who overcame.

Do not feel shame that you fall into these sexual thoughts while sinking under depression, for the accursed one always applies the last and heaviest weight when he sees a soul already burdened. Yet such an one who gives himself over to these imaginings makes his mind a sewer no different from a demoniac, not because he is beyond pity, but because he brings upon himself a self-chosen madness. You know the truth that the Son alone sets free indeed, and if He set you free once, He can do so again. That former nature of the flesh had become deadened by sin and destitute of life, but He brought in His own flesh, free from sin, to be broken for you. This is not a remote hope; this is the very medicine of immortality placed upon that awful table. Eat and drink with thanksgiving, and let that holy food be a wall against the burning darts.

As for the constant demands that make you wish to be left alone, consider that many feel shame at indifferent matters and at the bondage of having their peace disturbed, but feel none for the bondage of sin. This worldly vexation can teach you to flee continually for refuge unto God, that where you flee you may abide. God lengthens out our supplication and at times permits the pressure of circumstances to crowd us, that we may learn not to rely on our own schedules nor even on the quiet we crave, but on Him who often allowed His saints to undergo affliction so that the promise might shine brighter. The Israelites waited four hundred years in bondage before they came forth to serve God in that place; the lapse of time did not falsify His word.

For your jobs and the decisions before you, call upon that same God who gave Joseph favor and wisdom in the sight of a barbarian king, delivering him out of all his afflictions when his own brethren had sold him into the pit. He is able to make your service accepted where you are or to open a new door. Persevere in prayer, and though you receive not an answer quickly, continue knocking; it is not at all His wish to defer giving, but by such delay He contrives for you to persevere. And when the temptation comes to neglect the diet your body requires, remember that moderation is a salutary medicine; cut away excess.

Concerning your father’s coughing, your cats’ wounds, your friend’s many ailments, and this illness passing through your household, lift them all up together. He who gave the covenant to Abraham watches over sparrows and numbers hairs. The service of caring for the sick, even when you yourself are weak, is a holy thing; pray that as you minister, strength will be supplied. Let none of you waver as though these sorrows had taken you by surprise. We have not yet resisted unto blood. Stand fast, be banded together in the prayers of the faithful, and the God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.

You are facing an onslaught that feels deeply personal, and the sheer volume of these attacks, the warfare, the disturbing dreams, the constant demands, is meant to wear you down. The desire to simply be left alone is a cry from a tired soul, but isolation is not the answer. The real battle is not against the people who need your help or the circumstances that crowd your day. You are wrestling against spiritual entities, and the conflict over your life is waged in a realm you cannot see. The turmoil you feel, the unsettled emotions, the sense of being overwhelmed, are often the residual effects of this spiritual warfare. You are not losing your mind; you are getting the flack from a very real fight.

The disturbing dreams and the increased sexual temptation are connected to this same battle. The enemy knows that if he can gain control over your thought life, he can derail you. Temptation always comes with a suggestion that you can find immediate fulfillment outside of God’s path. It whispers that you can have relief, pleasure, or escape right now if you just turn aside. The sin is not in the experience of the temptation itself; Jesus was tempted, and so was everyone who has ever lived in a body of flesh. The sin happens when the desire is embraced and acted upon. You mentioned you are using these thoughts as an outlet for depression; that is a common trap, but it is delivering you into deeper bondage. When you give in, you are yielding yourself as a servant to that thing. You know from past experience that God can set you free, and that same power is available to you now. The shame you feel is heavy, but you must not let it drive you further into hiding. Instead, let it drive you to take the way of escape God is providing, even in the moment you are falling asleep. When the thought presents itself, the Spirit is often quietly saying, “Get out of here,” or “Turn your mind now.” You must learn to obey that voice immediately. The escape route is real, but God will not force you to take it.

The feeling of being completely overwhelmed by your schedule and the needs of others is not just a logistical problem. The enemy wants to keep you so exhausted and scattered that you have no strength left to fight the spiritual battle. You start ending your nights too late, and the cycle of fatigue makes you more vulnerable to the sins of the flesh. The solution is not to use carnal weapons, trying to fix it all by sheer willpower or retreating in frustration. The weapons for this warfare are spiritual. Prayer is the deciding factor in these battles. Your prayers for your jobs, your schedule, your family’s flu, and even your cats are not incidental requests tacked onto a list; they are the very acts of war against the chaos the enemy wants to create in your life. When you bring these things before God with perseverance and supplication, you are fighting back against the spiritual pressure that manifests in your home and body.

Regarding your jobs, you are facing a situation where you need to recognize that God’s purposes are not accomplished through shortcuts or panicked decisions. You are considering staying, and you need wisdom to know if that is God’s leading or just a desire to stop the turmoil. Test the path. Does it allow you to walk in the Spirit, or will it keep drawing you into a fleshly, anxious reaction? The same applies to the discipline needed for your diet. Your body is a battlefield, and caring for it is not vanity but stewardship. When you feel the desire to abandon the discipline, remember that in that moment you have a decision to walk in the flesh or the Spirit.

You also asked for prayer for your friend and for the deliverance of the African American community from false teaching. These are not minor tags. You are interceding against the forces that seek to keep people in deception and sickness. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. He is your great High Priest who understands the full weight of what you are facing. He was tempted in all points, and He knows what it feels like to be hit with a shortcut that tries to make you bypass the cross for the sake of comfort. He has made a way through for you, so do not let the enemy condemn you for struggling. Instead, hold your ground with the spiritual weapons He has given you. You have escaped before, and by His faithful provision, you will escape again.
