It is the chaos of the demoniac, a self-chosen madness that makes a man no different from one possessed, lost to all shame and reason. Do not be surprised that the agents of the enemy act in ways that are deranged and never held accountable by the world. Their actions are like sewers, a foul torrent of malice, and you are right to pray for their removal from your life. This is not a lack of charity, but a plea for deliverance from evil. God permits affliction to weigh us down beyond our power, as Paul was in Asia, so that we learn to trust not in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. Your prayer for their permanent removal is a cry for that deliverance.

Your escape from the new age is the reason for this battle. When a soul flees from satanic songs to Christ, the enemy rages. But learn the weapon given to you: learn to sing psalms. For they who sing psalms are filled with the Holy Spirit, as surely as they who sang those old songs were filled with an unclean spirit. Fill the air and your mind with holy song, and you will taste the delight of a spiritual drink that brings true cheer, not the stupor of the world's madness. This is how you stand when the devil’s presence feels like being in the same room with you. He cannot abide where the Spirit is praised.

Concerning your work, you face a trial common to the faithful. The world's practices are predatory, and the pleasure of a comfortable compromise goes no further than the tongue. Afterwards comes the headache of a burdened conscience, a sleep like death, and the curse of knowing you swallowed what is foul. You cannot take part in what defrauds your neighbor. Pray, yes, but do not be surprised if deliverance comes through your departure. God sometimes grants us a better resurrection, a better provision, by giving us the strength to refuse a lesser deliverance. If you stay, pray that God mends the concerns. But if you must leave, trust that He who feeds the ravens will care for your family. He does not promise deliverance from every earthly pressure, but He grants something far greater: a spirit that can despise the danger of poverty for the sake of righteousness.

Your decision regarding your piano teacher, though painful, seems a necessary severing. You were troubled for months, and the final event put the nail in the coffin. When the mind is afflicted, whether by spiritual attack or the decay of age, the relationship can become a vessel for harm no longer edifying. Do not be endlessly conflicted. You are called to help those who labor alongside you in the Gospel, who are true yokefellows, not to be unequally yoked with a source of confusion and discomfort that tears at your peace. Paul commended certain women because they labored with him in the Gospel, not because they merely professed belief while sowing disquiet. Their virtue was proven by their fruit. You have done what you could, and now you commit the matter to God.

Stand firm, therefore. You have received the Spirit of adoption, by which you cry out, "Abba, Father." You are a son, not a slave to the spirits of the age you left. The thought of your heart, that this warfare would overwhelm you, must be repented of. Pray that if any root of bitterness or fear remains, it be forgiven. The enemy’s whole design is to make you believe you are still in his grip. But you have put on Christ. His cross has broken the curse. Walk in that freedom, and let the clamor of the enemy be to you what it is: a proof that you are no longer his.

There is a book in Scripture that gives voice to exactly this kind of prolonged, bewildering assault, the book of Job. It is vital to remember that Job never knew the conversation that had taken place in the heavenly realms about him. He had no access to the knowledge that God was bragging on his integrity and that Satan had studied him, developed a plan of attack, and challenged the very motive of his faithfulness. All Job knew was the sudden collapse of everything safe, the loss of provision, and the tormenting presence of people around him whose words only deepened his pain.

That pattern is important for you to grasp because your situation has a similar hidden dimension. When you turned from the new age and witchcraft, you did not simply change an opinion; you defected from a kingdom. That defection invites a specific kind of retaliation. The Enemy studied you then, and he studies you now, looking for a weak point to accuse you before God just as he did with Job, insisting that your faith is a mercenary arrangement that will crumble if the pressure becomes great enough. The nonsensical and ridiculous nature of the attacks is a mark of their origin. Evil is not merely tragic; it is often profoundly irrational, which is why that person whose presence feels like being in the room with the literal devil seems so unhinged and yet so rarely held accountable. Their bondage may be severe, and God sees it precisely for what it is. Your prayer for their removal from your life is a prayer that aligns with the cry of the oppressed: that God would break the rod of the wicked.

Your former friends, like Job’s comforters, were quick to assign blame and find a tidy moral cause for every calamity. Eliphaz insisted that a person does not suffer unless they have done something deeply wrong, and Bildad basically called Job a hypocrite whose children got what they deserved. Zophar simply rebuked him and told him to get right with God. Their theology was neat, but it was completely wrong, and God was furious with them for misrepresenting Him. The people who have been harassing you under demonic influence are not acting as messengers of God’s correction; you are dealing with human vessels that have become tools of a different master. Your prayer for permanent removal is not unloving; it is a sober recognition that for a season, and perhaps for the remainder of this life, separation is necessary for your protection and sanity.

At the same time, I see you making decisions that require real integrity. You love your new job but recoil from predatory practices that you cannot participate in as a Christian. That tension is not a sign of God’s absence; it is evidence that your conscience is alive and that the Spirit is not letting you slide into patterns of injustice just to keep a paycheck. This is a genuine test, and meeting with your manager was a right step. Whether God mends the concerns and reforms that workplace, or whether He leads you to entirely new work, your commitment to honest gain over dishonest gain is the kind of uprightness that God was bragging on in Job. The worry about caring for your family financially is real, but the God who met Job’s needs after the calamity is the same God who sees your family now. He does not leave the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread.

The situation with the piano teacher, who is a professing believer, adds another layer of confusion. You tried to sort through what might be spiritual warfare, what might be dementia or a neurological condition, and you were conflicted for months. The fact that you felt a repeated check in your spirit and that something finally put the nail in the coffin means the boundary you set was not unkind. You can feel sorrow that it ended this way without carrying the guilt of having done something wrong. Job’s friends meant well initially, but their presence only brought greater confusion, and sometimes the faithful act is to quietly withdraw from a relationship that has become a conduit for harm rather than help. Let the sorrow be a clean sorrow, not a guilty one.

Here is what mattered most in Job’s story, and what matters for you: Job kept crying out for a daysman, someone who could lay his hand on both God and man and bring them together. That mediator was only a desperate wish in the Old Testament, but you already have Him. Jesus Christ stands between you and the Father. The accusations of the Enemy, the harassment of these demonically influenced people, the irrationality of the attacks, none of it can penetrate that position of safety. The blood of Christ silences the accuser in the heavenly court. When the warfare feels relentless, you do not need to understand God’s hidden purposes to cling to what He has revealed. He has revealed that you are His, that the tested faith you are showing right now is precious, and that His grace is sufficient when your own strength is gone.

Now I want to pray with you and over these specific requests. Lord, I lift up Your daughter who has come out of deep darkness and into Your marvelous light. The Enemy has hounded her steps, and this weekend he has planned a fresh assault through individuals who have long been instruments of harassment. I ask You to foil that plan completely. Confound their efforts, scatter their intentions, and let every scheme collapse before it can touch her or her household. We ask for a permanent removal of these particular people from her life. Break the demonic influence that drives them so that the harassment ceases entirely. Guard her mind so that the omnipresent feeling of being targeted lifts and is replaced by the peace of knowing she is hidden with Christ in God. Concerning her employment, give her wisdom. If You intend to mend the concerns at this company and remove the predatory practices, then grant her favor with her managers and turn the hearts of leadership. But if she must leave, then open a door to new work quickly, provide for her family, and remove the fear of financial collapse. As for her teacher, comfort Your daughter’s heart that this necessary ending, though painful, was an act of faithfulness. Replace that relationship with wholesome instruction if she desires to continue learning music. And in every corner of her life where the shadows of her past try to reassert themselves, let the light of Christ expel them with authority. We rest in the truth that the adversary’s accusations are silenced by the blood of the Lamb and that her life is held firmly in Your hand. In Jesus’s mighty name, amen.

We have interceded for your work situation, asking the Lord to either transform the environment so that you can stay with a clear conscience or open a new door of provision that aligns with His will for you and your family. We prayed for wisdom as you navigate this decision and for God’s peace to guard your heart in the midst of uncertainty. We also lifted up your coworkers, asking the Lord to bring healing, unity, and godly leadership to your workplace.

Regarding your piano lessons, we prayed for clarity and peace as you closed that chapter. We asked the Lord to comfort you in this transition and to guide you to the right teacher—one who will encourage your growth in faith as well as in music. We also prayed for your former teacher, that God would work in her life, whether through conviction, healing, or restoration.

Now, we want to ask: How has the Lord been moving in these areas since you posted your request? If you’ve seen breakthroughs—even small ones—we would love to celebrate with you and give God the glory. If the battle still feels heavy, please know that we are here to continue standing with you.
