Beloved Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden to the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you’ve endured since childhood is not of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in the name of Jesus Christ. Every tormenting dream, every oppressive thought, every weight of overwhelm, we command it to cease by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).

The vivid and disturbing dreams you describe are not from the Lord, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray that your mind would be guarded by the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, and that your sleep would be sweet and undisturbed (Philippians 4:7, Proverbs 3:24). You are not meant to live in constant turmoil. Jesus invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We pray that God would give you rest, not just physically, but in your soul. The relentless demands of others and the chaos of your schedule must bow to the order of the Holy Spirit. We ask the Lord to establish boundaries for you, to grant you wisdom in managing your time, and to bring balance to your days. May He lead you to jobs that honor Him and provide for your needs, whether that means staying where you are or moving forward into new opportunities. Trust in Him, for He knows the plans He has for you, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and sexual temptation is heavy, but we declare that you are not defined by these battles. The enemy would love for you to believe that you are powerless, but Scripture tells us that no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this fight. The shame you feel is a tool of the enemy to keep you isolated, but Jesus bore your shame on the cross. Confess these struggles to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We pray that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His power to resist temptation and that your mind would be renewed by the Word of God (Romans 12:2). You have overcome before, and by the grace of God, you will overcome again. Do not lose heart, for though the spirit is willing, the flesh is weak, but God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We also lift up the African American community, praying that the light of God’s truth would dispel every false teaching and that hearts would be turned toward the fullness of the gospel. May the Lord raise up faithful teachers who proclaim Christ crucified and the freedom found in Him alone (1 Corinthians 2:2). For your family, we pray healing over each one battling the flu. May the Lord restore their strength and protect those caring for them from falling ill (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask for divine intervention for your cats, may the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows, bring healing to their wounds and keep them in good health (Matthew 10:29). We trust that He will provide a way for their care, even when resources seem scarce.

Finally, we pray for discipline in your diet and self-care. The Lord is your strength in weakness, and He will sustain you as you honor the body He has given you (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). You are not forgotten, and you are not abandoned. The God of all comfort is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has bound them for far too long. We rebuke the enemy’s lies and command every tormenting spirit to flee in Jesus’ name. Father, we ask that You would fill their mind with Your peace, their heart with Your presence, and their life with Your purpose.

Lord, we pray for rest, true rest in You. Calm the storms in their mind, still the chaos in their schedule, and bring order to their days. Lead them to jobs that honor You and provide for their needs, whether that means staying where they are or moving forward. Grant them wisdom to discern Your will and the courage to walk in it.

Father, we ask for deliverance from every temptation, especially the sexual sin that has ensnared them. Cleanse their mind, renew their heart, and strengthen their spirit to resist the enemy’s schemes. Remind them that they are not condemned, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity and holiness.

We pray for healing for their family, for their pets, and for every area of their life that feels broken or overwhelmed. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust You to move mightily in this situation. May this one know Your love in deeper ways, Your peace in greater measure, and Your power in fullness.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear how heavy all of this feels right now, the spiritual battle that has dogged you for so long, the shame over the thoughts that keep coming back, the constant feeling that someone always needs something from you, and on top of it all, your family and pets are unwell. When life piles on like that, it’s easy to slip into survival mode, and the very things you want to resist can become a numbing outlet when you’re already depleted. Your honesty about the depression and the way it might be fueling those thoughts is actually a really important insight. It doesn’t excuse the sin, but it helps you understand why the pull feels so strong right now, and that can take some of the paralyzing shame out of the fight.

Since you mentioned you’re struggling with depression, one concrete step we’d gently encourage is talking with a doctor or a counselor. Sometimes our bodies and minds need more support than prayer alone, and addressing the depression often loosens the grip of other struggles, including those intrusive thoughts and the late nights that leave you drained. Alongside that, maybe you could try a small, doable shift with your schedule: set one gentle boundary for your evenings, like turning off screens thirty minutes earlier and spending that time in quiet, even if it’s just sitting with a cup of tea and a short prayer. When you’re alone in bed and the unwanted thoughts come, you might already have a simple phrase ready, something like “Lord, I belong to you” repeated silently, not as a magic fix, but as a way to turn your mind back toward the one who already set you free and still holds you.

We’re praying with you for clear wisdom about the jobs, for your dad’s cough and the whole household’s flu, and for your three cats to heal and stay well without adding financial stress. More than anything, though, we’re asking God to give you a deep sense of His steady presence in the chaos, and a quiet confidence that He isn’t standing far off waiting for you to get it all right.

Lord, in Jesus’ name we ask You to shelter this one from the spiritual attacks that have worn them down for years. Quiet their mind at night, guard their dreams, and break the power of temptation that feels so loud in the dark. Lift the fog of depression, and give them the courage to reach out for the help they need. Heal their dad, restore their cats, and bring steady work that fits the life You have for them. Most of all, remind them that You are not ashamed of them, You are near. Amen.

The cry of a heart under heavy warfare rises to the throne of grace, and the Scripture bids you pour out your lament where sin abounds and the enemy presses hard. Sin has brought you very low, but Christ has lifted you higher than you stood before sin cast you down. Your weariness of soul, the pressing demands, and the nightly torment of unholy imaginations, all these testify that sin poisons the wellhead, bribing the judgment and perverting the will. Yet am I conscious that the grace of God is greater still. Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.

You speak of falling again into that which once you were delivered from, and the shame cuts deep. This is the domineering power of sin, which will lord it frightfully over a man. You say it comes as an outlet for heaviness of spirit, but if you go willfully into sin, or tolerate it, and say you cannot help it, well, you have to help it or you will be lost. One thing is certain: either you must conquer sin or sin will conquer you, and to be conquered by sin is everlasting death. The enemy increases temptation, but know this: sin only flies before the blood of Christ and the power of the Eternal Spirit. Not sham sin, but real sin, sin as God beholds it, in all its unmitigated malignity, Jesus has put away. His death is the sin offering, where the fire of Divine wrath consumed the sacrifice because our sin had been laid upon Him.

Your disturbed dreams and the ceaseless assaults, these are the daily warfare that necessarily ensues from indwelling sin. That sin exerts a checking power upon every good thing, retarding you most when you are most earnest. You have conquered the grosser shapes of sin before, yet the roots of corruption remain. Cry mightily, for Satan will tempt mightily. His whole heart cried to God that he might be delivered from sin, and yours must do the same. Cold prayers, muttered in a heartless manner, will not cause sin to yield. But where there is real and true prayer, it must be a prayer of faith that God can, in answer, help you to conquer.

The weight of needing wisdom for employment, discipline for your diet, and care for your household and creatures all converge upon a soul already spent. Be watchful that you do not go into sin as a false refuge. Christ’s death for sin is your only plea, and the Spirit’s power your only might. Put away sin from you because He has put your sin away; its condemning power is broken for every believer. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed your transgressions. Cry unto Him and confess your sin, and when His warfare has answered its purpose, you will find Him blotting out your sins like a cloud, and like a thick cloud your iniquities.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You cry out under a spiritual warfare that has dogged you since youth, yet you have not yet resisted to blood, striving against sin. The enemy assails you with dreams and vile thoughts, but this is no strange thing, it is the common battle of those who would be saved. Paul was delivered from the lion’s mouth, and the Lord will deliver you from every evil work, if you do not yield. But you confess that you keep giving in to sexual fantasies as you fall asleep. Hear what the Apostle says: the fornicator sins against his own body, and this sin alone leaves the conscience scoured by an unusual shame. You feel that shame, do not let it drown you, but let it wake you. Ceasing from the sin is not enough; you must replace it with holy labor. When you lie down, fill your mind with prayer, psalms, the remembrance of judgment, anything but the sewer of self-chosen madness. Why would you make your soul a demoniac’s haunt when Christ offers purity?

You say you are overwhelmed and use these thoughts as an outlet for depression. Outlet? They are an open drain into deeper misery. The pleasure of imagining such things goes no further than the moment; afterward come heaviness, self-hatred, and a sleep like death. Cry to God instead. Pour out the ache of your heart to Him, for He is near to the broken. Do not seek comfort in filth.

This maladaptive daydreaming, too, is theft, you steal hours and strength that belong to your Maker. Work, the Apostle says, so that you may have something to give to others. Discipline your hands and mind. Why do your nights end so late? You know late hours breed weariness and open the door to temptation. Set a fixed hour for rest as an act of obedience. Keep your diet with the same firm hand, remembering that a distended belly curses itself later.

Regarding your jobs, seek wisdom anew. If you stay, labor peaceably with your coworkers and bear annoyances as a death to self. If you search elsewhere, let your aim be not merely extra money but honest toil that leaves you able to help those in need. In all things, ask for the prudence that comes from above.

The sickness in your home is an affliction; do not count it a sign of God’s wrath but a season to prove your faith. Care for your father and others without grumbling. Your cats, you love them, yet anxiety for pets must never eclipse concern for your own soul or your neighbor’s. God watches over all His creatures; entrust them to Him and set your mind on higher things.

You pray for the African American community to be freed from false teachings. Pray also that your own heart would be purged of the false belief that sin brings relief. It is a liar. The enemy rushes in because he spots slackened hands. Take up the arms of self-control. The One who will appear a second time without sin unto salvation appears for those who look for Him. Look, then, not for an easy escape, but for holiness, and He will break every chain. Strive as one who wrestles the lion; your Deliverer is at the door.

Your request shows me a heart that genuinely longs for freedom, even while feeling overwhelmed by the weight of these struggles. That honesty matters, and God does not turn away from it. The shame you feel over the sexual thoughts is actually evidence that the Spirit is still at work in you. A seared conscience feels nothing. A troubled conscience is one that still belongs to the Lord.

Let me speak directly to that inner battle. Scripture teaches that sin, at its core, means missing the mark. It is not always the willful act of rebellion we imagine. Sometimes it is the very desire itself, the strong pull toward something we know is wrong. Many people assume the commandment only forbids the outward act, but the inward craving is also sin. That discovery can be crushing when we realize how deep the problem runs. But that discovery is meant to lead us somewhere. The law shows us what sin is so we stop trying to manage it on our own. When you find those thoughts flooding your mind especially as you fall asleep, you are experiencing what it means to have that old nature stirred up. You are not unusual or uniquely broken. You are human, born with a bent toward sin, and the enemy knows exactly how to exploit exhaustion and discouragement.

Notice what God has promised you. Sin shall not have dominion over you. Not because you will never struggle again, but because you are no longer under the law. You are under grace. That means the pattern of your life is no longer defined by slavery to those thoughts. You may stumble, but you are not ruled by them. The old life that produced those habits was buried with Christ. A person born of God cannot practice sin as a settled lifestyle. The new nature rebels against it. That is why you are so miserable right now. You cannot get away with sin anymore. Before you knew the Lord, those thoughts might not have bothered your conscience this way. Now they do because you belong to Him. That conviction is not rejection; it is proof of relationship.

The depression you mentioned is real, and you rightly perceive a connection. When we are depleted, we reach for comfort, and the flesh always offers a cheap counterfeit. Do not let the enemy convince you that this makes you hopeless. Where sin abounded, grace abounded much more. The blood of Jesus did not merely cover your sin; it put it away. Every sin you have ever committed or will commit was fully atoned for at the cross. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for you, so you could become the righteousness of God in Him. That means when you confess this struggle, you are not trying to earn back something you lost. You are stepping back into the light of what was already won for you.

Regarding the spiritual warfare and the disturbing dreams, know that God makes a distinction. He sets a seal upon His own, and the enemy cannot cross that line without permission. The visions of demonic assault in Scripture are fearsome, but they are ultimately limited. They could only harm those without the seal of God. You bear that seal if you belong to Christ. Fear is the enemy's primary weapon, not ultimate authority. You have the right to ask the Lord to guard your sleep and to silence what torments you.

As for the practical things, the jobs, the schedule, the pets, your family's illness, and your diet, these are not too small for the throne of grace. The same God who raised Christ from the dead cares about your father's cough and your cats' wounds. There is only one sin that separates a person from God eternally, and that is rejecting the light He has provided in Jesus. Everything else, as serious as it feels, falls under the category of sins not unto death. God is patient and merciful. He does not demand a pristine life before He helps. He meets you in the mess.

You said you want to be left alone, and I hear the exhaustion in that. Long seasons of being needed and attacked simultaneously wear down the soul. But isolation is not the answer. Yield your body to God as an instrument of righteousness rather than sin. That is a conscious, repeated act. When the thoughts come, do not simply try to suppress them. Turn your mind to what is true about Christ. You have been buried with Him and raised to new life. Speak that aloud if you must. The enemy flees from the Word.

For your community and your family, pray that the light of the gospel would expose false teaching. A nation, a people, can be guilty of sin just as an individual can, and the remedy is always the same: turning to the One who became sin for us. Grace reigns through righteousness. Not our righteousness, but His, given to us.

Ask the Lord for wisdom concerning your jobs. If staying is what He wills, He can change the atmosphere for you and your coworkers. If leaving is best, He will make the path plain. While you wait, discipline yourself in small things. The diet for your medical condition is one such place. Faithfulness in small matters trains the soul to resist in larger ones.

You are not alone, and your story is not over. Cry out to Him in the middle of the night if you must. He hears.

We are deeply moved by your courage in sharing such a heavy burden with us, and we want you to know that we have continued to lift you up before the Lord in prayer these past days. We have stood in the gap, asking our Heavenly Father to break every chain of spiritual warfare that has followed you since childhood, to silence the enemy’s attacks in your dreams, and to bring you the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We have prayed for your overwhelming schedule and the constant demands on your time, asking God to grant you moments of rest and clarity. We have asked Him to open doors to new job opportunities—whether one or two—that would bring stability and relief, and we’ve sought His wisdom for your current work situations, that He would soften hearts and improve relationships with your coworkers.

With heavy hearts, we have interceded for your freedom from maladaptive daydreaming and the inappropriate thoughts that weigh so heavily on you, especially in those vulnerable moments before sleep. We’ve asked the Lord to strengthen you where you are weak, to restore the victory He has already given you over sin, and to lift the shame that the enemy uses to keep you bound. We’ve prayed for your depression, that God would meet you in your sorrow and provide healthy outlets for your pain, drawing you closer to His heart.

We have also lifted up your family, asking the Lord to heal each one from the flu and to protect those who are caring for others. We’ve prayed for your father, that his cough would subside and his strength would return. For your precious cats, we’ve asked the Great Physician to bring healing to the wounds of the two who scratched themselves and to keep the others in good health, trusting that He cares even for the smallest creatures in your home.

We’ve prayed for discipline in your eating, that God would give you the strength to follow the diet your health requires, and for provision where there is lack—especially for your pets, that He would guide you to a trustworthy vet if the need arises. And we’ve asked the Lord to expose and dismantle false teachings in the African American community, that His truth would prevail and set hearts free.

If any of these prayers have been answered, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the battle still rages, we want you to know we are not stepping away—we will continue to stand with you in prayer. Post this request again as often as you need, and we will keep lifting you up, believing that God is working even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord surround you with His presence, give you rest in the midst of the storm, and remind you that you are never alone. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Amen.
