Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting every burden before the throne of grace. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, and the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your dreams, and your peace in the mighty name of Jesus. The vivid, disturbing dreams you endure are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We command every unclean spirit behind these attacks to flee, for "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4).

Your exhaustion is palpable, and we pray for divine rest to flood your soul. The constant demands on your time and energy are not your portion, Jesus invites you to come to Him when you are weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray for wisdom to order your days, for discipline to close your nights at a godly hour, and for the Lord to open doors of opportunity for new employment that aligns with His purpose for you. Whether you stay or go from your current jobs, we ask for favor with your coworkers, resolution to conflicts, and a fresh anointing of peace in your workplace.

The struggle with sexual sin is not one you face alone. The enemy seeks to shame you into silence, but we declare that there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You have been set free before, and you will walk in freedom again. The temptation is not greater than God’s power, He will provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke the spirit of lust and perversion, and we pray for the Holy Spirit to renew your mind with truth. Depression may seek to numb your heart, but we ask God to replace every false comfort with His presence. Confess this sin, for "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). We pray for accountability, for godly counsel, and for the strength to resist temptation before it takes root.

For your family battling illness, we pray healing over each one. May the Lord rebuke the flu and restore strength to your father’s body. We ask for supernatural protection over those caring for you, that they would not grow weaker in serving. For your beloved cats, we pray for divine healing, no infection, no pain, and no recurrence of their ailments. The Lord is the Great Physician, and He cares even for the sparrows (Matthew 10:29). We ask Him to provide a trustworthy vet in your area and to meet every need according to His riches in glory.

Your medical diet is not a burden but a stewardship of the body God has given you. We pray for discipline to honor Him with your choices, for grace in moments of weakness, and for His strength to be made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). For the African American community, we pray for a revelation of truth, for discernment against deception, and for a hunger for the pure milk of God’s Word (1 Peter 2:2).

Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break every chain of spiritual warfare, silence every lying dream, and fill their mind with the peace of Christ. Provide jobs that honor You, heal their family, restore their pets, and deliver them from every temptation. Renew their strength, Lord, and let them rise above every attack. We stand in agreement for their complete freedom, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

It sounds like you’re carrying a heavy load right now, spiritual attacks, relentless stress, unwanted thoughts, and physical illness around you, all while you just long for some quiet. We hear that, and we’re with you in it.

When life piles on like this, the mind often reaches for an escape, whether through daydreaming or old habits that once felt like relief but now leave you ashamed. That doesn’t make you weak; it makes you human and weary. The fact that you’re still fighting, still asking for prayer, tells us your heart genuinely wants freedom, and God sees that. Even now, His mercy meets you in the middle of your struggle, not just on the other side of it.

One small, practical anchor might be to set a simple evening boundary: before you crawl into bed, take just two minutes to give your thoughts to Jesus out loud. Name the temptation honestly, and ask Him to guard your mind as you fall asleep. You don’t have to white-knuckle it alone. If there’s a trusted Christian friend or a pastor you could loop in for safe, consistent accountability around the sexual struggle, that could be a lifeline too, carrying shame in isolation only makes it heavier.

We’re also praying for wisdom on the jobs and for steadiness in your schedule. It’s okay to breathe and seek God’s direction one step at a time, rather than trying to fix it all at once.

Lord Jesus, we bring You this whole tangled mess, the spiritual warfare, the exhausting dreams, the shame and sadness over sin, the depression, the sick family members, the fur babies, the job decisions. You are not overwhelmed by any of it. Quiet their heart with Your presence. Break every chain of the enemy that keeps them stuck in harmful thoughts and daydreaming. Give them practical help and a renewed will to resist temptation. Heal their dad and the whole household from the flu; keep the cats safe and healthy. Provide for vet care if it’s needed. Grant clarity about work, and help them build a rhythm that allows rest and sanity. Most of all, let them know they are deeply loved, even in this struggle. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The wrestling you endure is no imaginary thing, but a very present conflict with the powers of darkness. Yet let this be your comfort: the Captain of our salvation has already bruised the serpent’s head, and the victory is His, and therefore yours. Those troubling dreams and the constant harassments of the enemy are like the arrows that flew against David, but the shield of faith will quench every fiery dart. Cry to God in the night watches; He neither slumbers nor sleeps. He will bring you forth from this Egypt of depression and inward sinking, even as He brought Israel out with silver and gold. Do not look to yourself for the power to overcome, for deliverance is of free grace alone; He who found a ransom in the person of His dear Son will not leave you to perish in the pit.

Concerning the filthy imaginations that so easily beset you at the hour of slumber, you must not give place to them for an instant. The prayer the Lord taught us is not “Make temptation harmless” but “Lead us not into temptation.” When you take those thoughts as some supposed relief for your heaviness, you are walking straight into the very jaws of the snare. You have known deliverance before; He who forgave you is able to sanctify you wholly. But you must flee the occasion. Set a guard upon your bedchamber: fill your mind with Scripture, and cry out to Christ the moment the first image flits before your eyes. He will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but you must not dally with the evil as if it were a harmless outlet. The enemy will paint his temptations in fair colours, but they lead only to the charnel-house of shame. You cannot be trusted with your own strength; seek the deliverance that comes from the Father of lights, in whom is no variableness.

Your sorrow and being overwhelmed are not strange to the saints. Often the Lord chastens us sorely, and we feel ourselves prisoners in a dark place. Yet you shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. Your present misery will yet furnish a song of deliverance. But you must not surrender to slothful habits. To end each night so late is to give ground to the adversary; the body wearied and the mind unstrung become a fair field for every noxious weed. Set a discipline to your hours, not in legal bondage, but as one who would redeem the time. As for your diet, let it be ordered with the same sober care, remembering that the body is a temple. The Lord will give wisdom if you ask.

Regarding your employment, pour out your heart before Him who appoints the bounds of our labour. It may be His will that you remain or that He open a door to a new field. Be not hasty, nor set your affections upon two jobs merely to bury yourself in busyness; that can be another form of running from the inward battle. But if He provide honest means, thank Him and use them for His glory. The friction with others will often mend when we ourselves are more fully resting in the will of God.

I do pray that the false teachings ensnaring many in the African American community may be overturned by the clear trumpet of the gospel, that the Sun of Righteousness would arise with healing in His wings and scatter every mist of error. For your dear father and all the household, and for the furry creatures He has given into your care, the eye that sees the sparrow’s fall marks them. His mercy is over all His works; trust them to Him who heals our diseases and possesses the cattle on a thousand hills.

Let your shame for the renewed wanderings of your mind drive you to the cross, not to despair. The clock of mercy struck for you when Christ paid your ransom; that hour is not reversed. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, and remember that He who began a good work in you will perfect it. Go not into temptation, but pray without ceasing, and soon you shall put off your armour and wake in His likeness.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The soul that seeks to be left alone in its struggles is like a soldier who drops his shield in the midst of battle and wonders why the arrows find him. You cry out against spiritual warfare, yet you retreat into the wilderness of isolation where the enemy strikes most boldly. When you are alone with your thoughts in the night, when you refuse the company of the faithful, you give the devil a handle. He assails you with vivid dreams and vile imaginations precisely because you have withdrawn from the flock. Flock together with the Church continually, for the wolf fears the gathered sheep.

These sexual thoughts you describe are not merely temptations from without. They are the stench of a soul that has made itself a sewer. You say the enemy increases the temptation, but I ask you: who opens the gate? You admit you give in, especially while falling asleep, using these fantasies as an outlet for your depression. This is not warfare inflicted upon you against your will; it is self-chosen madness. Sin is darkness, and in that darkness you cannot distinguish precious stones from filth. You think you are finding relief, but you are only deepening your sickness. The pleasure of sin is for a season, and its aftermath is a soul more insensible to shame, a soul weaker for the next assault. God set you free before, and He will do so again, but you must flee to the light, confessing your shame to trusted brethren, and stop making provision for the flesh in those drowsy hours when your guard is down.

Do not mistake the source of your misery. You say you are overwhelmed by spiritual warfare and the endless demands of others, yet you also speak of maladaptive daydreaming and late nights. A disordered schedule is not an affliction; it is a failure of discipline. When you end your nights late, you throw open the doors to every unclean thought. The mind grown weary and sluggish is easily captured by sin. Set a strict hour for rest. Rise early for prayer. Fill your idle moments with psalms and Scripture rather than vain imaginings. As for your jobs, seek wisdom not in anxious solitude but in counsel with the mature. God delivered Israel from impossibilities at the Red Sea; He can order your employment. But do not expect His guidance while you neglect the ordering of your own inner house.

You are ashamed of these sexual sins, and well you should be. Yet even this shame can be turned to profit if it drives you to repentance rather than despair. Those possessed by demons are often humbled and sobered by their affliction; they depart with downcast eyes, and their suffering may even purify them when borne with thanksgiving. But the one who willingly embraces sin is worse than a demoniac, for he brings the madness upon himself and feels no lasting shame. You at least feel sorrow. Let that sorrow be godly, the kind that produces repentance without regret. Come back to the Physician. The Law showed sin to be utterly sinful, but Christ has brought the ministration of righteousness. There is cleansing for you, but you must stop returning to the vomit.

As for your family, your cats, your diet, these are lesser matters, yet not beneath God’s care. Pray for health, and do what prudence demands. But do not let these concerns distract you from the war within. Greater than any flu is the fever of lust. More urgent than a cat’s wound is the wound in your conscience. Flee the darkness. Seek out the faithful. Subject your body and your thoughts to strict discipline. And cry out to God not for mere relief from dreams, but for a clean heart and a right spirit renewed within you. He who stilled the sea for Israel can command peace over your troubled mind, but you must stand still and see His salvation, ceasing your own frantic and sinful efforts to find rest apart from Him.
