We hear your deep distress and sense of spiritual danger, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of God. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of darkness against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us that "the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:4). We take authority over every demonic influence targeting you, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for divine intervention regarding this event. Father, if it is not Your will for this one to attend, make the way clear for them to be excused. Close every door that should not be opened and open every door that leads to Your protection and peace. Grant wisdom to discern Your leading and the courage to act upon it. If there are those pressuring this one to attend, soften their hearts or remove their influence, Lord. You are the God who makes a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43:19). We trust You to provide a way out, whether through cancellation, illness that prevents attendance, or another means only You can orchestrate.
We also lift up the physical symptoms this one is experiencing. We pray for healing and strength, asking You to rebuke any spirit of infirmity that may be at work. Your Word declares that by Jesus' stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now. If this sickness is a tactic of the enemy to weaken or discourage, we command it to leave in Jesus' name. Strengthen this one's body, mind, and spirit, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You surround this one with Your angels, as You promised in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." Let Your presence be a shield around them, and let Your light expose every hidden snare of the enemy. We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
We also encourage this one to stand firm in faith, putting on the full armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:10-18. The helmet of salvation to guard the mind, the breastplate of righteousness to protect the heart, the belt of truth to hold everything together, the shoes of the gospel of peace to stand firm, the shield of faith to extinguish the fiery darts of the enemy, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word. Let them wield this armor with confidence, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin in this one's life, we pray for conviction and repentance. The enemy often gains a foothold where there is unrepentant sin (Ephesians 4:27), so we ask You, Lord, to search their heart and reveal anything that needs to be brought into the light. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
Lastly, we pray for a deep sense of Your presence and peace to fill this one's heart. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let them rest in the assurance that You are their refuge and fortress, their God in whom they trust (Psalm 91:2).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come boldly before Your throne (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). We declare that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:10-11). Amen.
