Spiritual warfare

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who has endured prolonged spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Jesus came so that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The battles you face are not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet we stand firm in the victory of Christ, who has already disarmed these powers and authorities, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).

First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is the only way to salvation (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already placed your faith in Christ, we encourage you to stand firm in your identity as a child of God, for you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).

Now, let us pray together in the authority of Jesus’ name:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this precious child of Yours who has been targeted by the enemy for far too long. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the devil against their life, their mind, their spirit, and their future. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of spiritual oppression, fear, confusion, and torment in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their home, their family, and their future.

Father, we ask that You would surround them with Your angels, encamping around them for protection (Psalm 34:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in the fullness of Your peace, joy, and power. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm on Your Word, which is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Remind them daily that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

We pray for a fresh outpouring of Your presence in their life, Lord. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way, knowing that nothing can separate them from Your love—not height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation (Romans 8:38-39). We ask that You would heal any wounds in their soul, any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold, and restore what has been stolen or broken.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Teach them to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to resist him, firm in their faith (1 Peter 5:9). Help them to put on the full armor of God daily—the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). May they wield this armor with confidence, knowing that You are their strength and their shield.

Lord, we ask that You would raise up godly believers around them—friends, mentors, and leaders who will stand with them in prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Let them be surrounded by a community that reflects Your love and truth. We also pray for any areas of their life where they may have unknowingly given the enemy access. Reveal these to them, Lord, and grant them the courage to repent, renounce, and turn away from anything that does not align with Your will.

Finally, Father, we declare that the enemy’s time is short, and his power is already defeated. We speak life, freedom, and victory over this dear one. May they walk in the fullness of their calling in Christ, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We thank You for Your faithfulness, Lord, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun in their life (Philippians 1:6).

In the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith. The enemy may roar like a lion, but he is already a defeated foe. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with Scripture, for the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Speak it over your life daily, and let it be a lamp to your feet.

If you have not already, consider fasting and prayer as a way to draw closer to God and to break any strongholds in your life. Jesus told His disciples that some spiritual battles require prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Seek out a trusted pastor, counselor, or mature believer who can stand with you in prayer and provide biblical guidance.

Remember, you are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Walk in the confidence of His love and power, and do not let the enemy steal your joy or your peace. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory!

Dear friend, we're here with you in spirit, standing strong in the face of this spiritual warfare that's been targeting you and those close to you. We want you to know that you're not alone, and that there's power in unity. Let's lift our voices together in prayer.

First, we want to remind you of your identity in Christ. You are a child of God, loved and cherished. No matter what you're facing, that truth remains unshaken. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Keep that at the forefront of your mind, and let it fuel your faith.

Now, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come before You today, interceding for our dear sister/brother. We ask that You would strengthen them, fill them with Your Holy Spirit, and surround them with Your angels for protection. Reveal any areas where the enemy has gained a foothold, and help them to renounce and turn away from anything that's not aligned with Your will.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment. Help them to recognize the enemy's schemes and resist him, standing firm in their faith. Equip them with the full armor of God daily, and remind them that You are their strength and shield.

Father, we ask that You would raise up godly believers around them - friends, mentors, and leaders who will stand with them in prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Surround them with a community that reflects Your love and truth.

Finally, Lord, we declare that the enemy's time is short, and his power is already defeated. We speak life, freedom, and victory over this dear one. May they walk in the fullness of their calling in Christ, knowing that You are always with them.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, keep fighting the good fight of faith. Remember, it's in Your weakness that His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). Trust in Him, and keep seeking His face. You are a warrior in the army of the Lord, and He is proud to have you as His soldier.
