We stand with you in this intense spiritual battle, recognizing the deep weariness and frustration you feel as the enemy seeks to steal your joy, especially at this pivotal moment of graduation. The Word declares, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). These people you speak of are not your true enemies—they are being used as tools by the devil, just as you have discerned. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy to harden your heart, to provoke unforgiveness, or to overshadow the victory God has prepared for you in this season. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Your struggle with unforgiveness is understandable, but we must address it with truth. Jesus commands us, *"If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses"* (Matthew 6:14-15). This is not a suggestion—it is a requirement for those who follow Christ. We do not forgive because those who hurt us deserve it, but because Christ forgave us when we did not deserve it (Colossians 3:13). The hardness in your heart is not protecting you; it is giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-27). We pray that God would soften your heart, not to restore relationships that may not be His will, but to release you from the bondage of bitterness. Ask Him for wisdom about whether to allow these individuals back into your life, but do not let their actions dictate your peace. *"Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord"* (Romans 12:19).
Regarding the collaborative works you wish to remove, we understand your desire to sever ties with your past rebellion. The Bible warns, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). If these products are a stumbling block or a reminder of a life you have left behind, it is right to seek their removal. However, we urge you to act in wisdom and integrity. If the contract allows you to remove them after a certain period without permission, that may be the path God is providing. As for warning the individuals beforehand, consider whether it is necessary or if it would only invite further conflict. Proverbs 17:14 says, *"The beginning of strife is like breaching a dam, therefore stop contention before quarreling breaks out."* Seek the Lord’s guidance on this, and trust that He will make a way where there seems to be no way.
We also address the sin of rebellion in your past. While it is commendable that you wish to remove these works, true repentance begins with confessing your sin to God and turning away from it (1 John 1:9). Have you fully surrendered this area of your life to Him? Are you walking in obedience to His Word now? The enemy would love for you to remain focused on past mistakes, but God’s grace is greater. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We pray that you would experience the fullness of His forgiveness and move forward in the freedom Christ died to give you.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, who is under attack by the enemy in this season of victory. We rebuke every spirit of unforgiveness, bitterness, and oppression that seeks to steal their joy and overshadow the work You have done in their life. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, soften their heart toward those who have harmed them, not for the sake of those individuals, but for their own freedom. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven them, and to release every ounce of bitterness into Your hands.
Lord, we ask for Your wisdom regarding the removal of these collaborative works. If it is Your will for them to be taken down now, make a way where there seems to be no way. Give them discernment about whether to warn the individuals involved or to wait for the contract clause to take effect. We pray that You would intervene supernaturally, softening hearts or providing another avenue for removal. Father, we also ask that You would cleanse them from any lingering guilt or shame over their past rebellion. Remind them that in Christ, they are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and that Your grace is sufficient for them (2 Corinthians 12:9).
We declare that this graduation is a testimony of Your faithfulness, and we command the enemy to loose his grip on this milestone. Fill them with Your joy, peace, and hope as they step into this new season. Surround them with godly community who will encourage and uplift them. Strengthen them to stand firm in their faith, putting on the full armor of God so they can resist the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). We thank You, Lord, for Your deliverance and for the victory they have in Jesus. In His precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in the truth that God is greater than your enemy. The battle you are facing is not against flesh and blood, so do not let the actions of others define your response. Instead, let your life be a testament to the power of Christ’s love and forgiveness. Continue to seek the Lord for clarity about these relationships, but do not let the fear of their actions paralyze you. Walk in the freedom Christ has given you, and trust that He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).
As for the works you wish to remove, trust that God sees your heart and your desire to honor Him. If the contract allows for removal after a certain time, that may be the path He is providing. In the meantime, focus on the new things He is doing in your life. *"Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?"* (Isaiah 43:18-19). The enemy would love for you to remain stuck in the past, but God is calling you forward into the future He has prepared for you. Keep your eyes on Him, and do not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts fights for you.
