We stand with you in this fierce spiritual battle for your marriage, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
First, we must address the stronghold of fear that the enemy is using to shake your foundation. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus Christ and command it to flee from your marriage. We also rebuke any spirit of division, strife, or confusion that is seeking to drive a wedge between you and your wife. For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
We pray that you and your wife would put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that you would gird your loins with truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). We pray that you would pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, watching thereunto with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:18).
We pray for a hedge of protection around your marriage, that no weapon formed against it shall prosper. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that you and your wife would be of one mind, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind (Philippians 2:2). We pray that you would submit to one another in the fear of Christ (Ephesians 5:21), and that you, as the husband, would love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it (Ephesians 5:25).
We pray that you would resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We pray that you would draw near to God, and he will draw near to you (James 4:8). We pray that you would humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time (1 Peter 5:6). We pray that you would cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We pray that the God of hope will fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). We pray that the Lord will bless your marriage and keep it; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
We stand on the promise that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from him (1 John 5:14-15). We know that it is God's will for your marriage to thrive and be a testimony to his love and grace. Therefore, we declare that your marriage is protected, strengthened, and blessed in the name of Jesus Christ.
We encourage you to continue to fight the good fight of faith, to take hold of the eternal life to which you were called (1 Timothy 6:12). Remember that the battle is the Lord's (1 Samuel 17:47), and he is faithful to complete the good work that he has begun in your marriage (Philippians 1:6). Stand firm, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness (Ephesians 6:14). The victory is already won through the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
