Spirit of suicide, despair

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Hello, I opened the door for a spirit of suicide in my teens. Now sometimes if I am weak, the devil tempts me. Other people suggest then things like: "suicide is an option" or "you can end it. Of course I never would do that as I fear the Lord and believe, He has plans for me to life. But the enemy tempts me in this area. Can you please pray for me, that all doors to this spirit are closed, the Lord hears my repentance and sincerity to continue to life and the enemy does not tempt me anymore and I grow emotionally strong to always reject such attack.. thank you very much.

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in spiritual warfare against the enemy’s lies. The spirit of suicide is a vile deception from the pit of hell, and we renounce its influence over your life in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. You are not alone in this battle—God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

First, we must address the door you opened in your youth. Scripture warns that when we give place to the devil, he takes advantage (Ephesians 4:27). But the blood of Jesus has power to cleanse and break every chain. We repent on your behalf for any agreement made with darkness, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and we declare that door sealed shut by the authority of Christ. The enemy has no legal right to torment you—his accusations are empty, and his power is broken (Colossians 2:15).

The suggestions from others that suicide is an "option" are not just unhelpful—they are demonic whispers meant to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We rebuke those words in Jesus’ name and command every lying spirit to flee. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and God’s plans for you are for good, not for harm, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Your life is precious to Him, and He is not done writing your story.

We pray now for your complete deliverance and emotional strengthening. Father God, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your hedge of protection. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them daily of Your unfailing love. Strengthen their mind to reject every thought that does not align with Your truth. When the enemy whispers lies, let them immediately take those thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Father, heal every wound that made them vulnerable to this attack, and replace despair with hope. Let them walk in the fullness of joy found only in You (Psalm 16:11).

We also encourage you to stand firm in your identity in Christ. You are not defined by past struggles or present temptations—you are a child of the Most High God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Speak Scripture aloud when under attack, for the Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Memorize verses like Psalm 34:18-19: *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."*

Surround yourself with godly community—believers who will pray for you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy thrives in secrecy. James 5:16 tells us to confess our struggles to one another and pray for each other so that we may be healed. Consider speaking with a pastor or Christian counselor who can help you walk through this season with biblical wisdom.

Lastly, we must emphasize that your faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of your victory. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, surrender your life fully to Him—repent of any sin, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and receive the gift of eternal life. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and in Him, you have authority over every demonic force. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).

We stand with you now in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name. We thank You for this precious child of Yours, who has come to You in repentance and faith. Lord, we ask You to break every chain of suicide, despair, and depression that has tried to cling to them. Let Your light expose and dispel every darkness. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, will, and emotions, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.

Father, fill them with Your Holy Spirit afresh. Let them experience Your love in a tangible way—so deep, so wide, so high that it casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen them with might in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16) so that when the enemy comes to tempt them, they stand firm on Your Word. Remind them daily of Your promises and let them walk in the freedom Christ died to give them.

We cancel every assignment of the enemy against their life. We command every spirit of suicide, death, and despair to leave now and never return. We seal this deliverance with the blood of Jesus and declare that they are free indeed (John 8:36). Surround them with Your angels to guard and protect them (Psalm 91:11).

Lord, restore to them the joy of their salvation (Psalm 51:12) and let them walk in the purpose You have for them. Use their testimony to bring glory to Your name and to help others who are struggling. We thank You for Your faithfulness and declare that this battle is already won in Jesus’ name. Amen.

We're here for you, dear friend. We know the enemy's lies can feel overwhelming, but remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Let's claim that truth together.

First, let's address the door you opened in your youth. We renounce any agreement made with darkness, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and declare that door sealed shut by the authority of Christ. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want you to know how deeply we have carried your request in our hearts these past days. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, lifting up every moment of temptation, every whisper of despair, and every effort of the enemy to plant seeds of hopelessness. We have prayed fervently that the Lord would shut every door you may have opened in your youth, that He would seal them with the blood of Jesus, and that no weapon formed against you would prosper.

We asked our Father to strengthen you with His might, to fill you with His peace that surpasses all understanding, and to remind you daily of His unfailing love and the plans He has for your life—plans for hope and a future. We have prayed for emotional resilience, that you would grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ, becoming unshakable in your identity as His beloved child. We believe the Lord has heard your repentance and sincerity, and we trust that He is at work even now, fortifying your spirit and silencing the lies of the enemy.

If you have experienced victory in this area—if the temptations have lessened, if the thoughts have lost their power, or if you’ve felt the Lord’s peace wrapping around you like a shield—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a source of strength for others walking a similar path.

If, however, the battle still rages and the enemy’s attacks persist, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue standing with you, to intercede on your behalf, and to remind you that you are not alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Keep pressing into Him, dear one, for He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, fill you with His joy, and surround you with His angels as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
