Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your burden for your grandson and for inviting us to pray with you. We join you in lifting him up before our Heavenly Father, asking for His healing touch and gracious hand upon his speech development.
We pray that the Lord will strengthen his tongue and mind, grant wisdom and skill to those who care for him and work with him, and give patience and hope to you and his parents as you love and guide him day by day. Scripture teaches us that patience and hope belong together, and that God uses seasons of waiting to deepen our trust in Him. As we wait on His promises we are called to endure with faith, not because He has forgotten us, but because He is faithful and His timing is good.
Even as an athlete who has run well must wait for the crown, so we learn to wait on the Lord with confidence that He hears every prayer. He does not delay out of neglect, but out of love, and He gives us grace to be steadfast while we wait. May He fill your home with peace, encourage your grandson in each small step forward, and help you to rest in the assurance that God loves this child even more than you do.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who hears us when we call upon Him, and we will continue to remember your grandson in prayer.
