Hello everyone! I am wondering if its a sin to listen to health subliminals on youtube ?? If it is can you please pray that they will be removed off of me ?? Thank you a lot!!!

We hear your heart in this question and we thank you for reaching out to us so honestly. We understand the desire to be healthy and the confusion that can come from so many things offered on the internet, and we want to walk with you in truth and prayer.

We want to share what the Bible teaches about guarding our minds and where we place our trust for health. Many health subliminals on YouTube contain hidden affirmations or messages designed to bypass your conscious thinking and influence your subconscious, and many are rooted in new age ideas of manifesting or speaking reality into existence apart from God. This is concerning because God calls us to be sober minded and to consciously choose what we dwell on. As it is written, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life Proverbs 4:23, and Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8. We are also told to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to test the spirits to see whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. Listening to hidden messages that you cannot consciously test or discern does not align with that calling, and when those messages encourage trusting in self power, the universe, or hidden sounds rather than trusting the Lord for your health, it can open a door to deception and to not honoring God with your mind and body.

You ask if it is a sin, and we want to answer with both truth and grace. If you listened without understanding what was behind it, God sees your heart and your desire to do what is right, and He is merciful. At the same time, when we realize something is not honoring to God or is seeking healing or change apart from Him, we are called to turn away from it and be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2. Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14 and your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, and the Lord wants you to seek Him directly for health and peace rather than through hidden influences. So we would encourage you to repent for any participation, to renounce those messages, and to receive His forgiveness, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive cleansing and deliverance. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by placing our faith in Jesus Christ, His death and resurrection for our sins, that we are forgiven and can come boldly before God in prayer. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust fully in Him as your Savior and Lord.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We thank You that You are our healer and that You care for every concern of our hearts. We ask You to forgive any time spent listening to hidden messages and to cleanse the mind and heart by the blood of Jesus. We ask You to remove every effect of those subliminals, every lie, every suggestion that does not agree with Your truth, and to fill this mind with Your peace and Your Word. We pray that You would renew this mind and help our friend to dwell on what is true and pure and to trust You alone for health and wholeness. We rebuke any influence that is not from You and we ask You to give a spirit of power and love and self control 2 Timothy 1:7 instead of fear or confusion. Help our friend to walk in discernment, to delete and turn away from those videos, to spend time daily in Scripture and prayer, and to seek godly wisdom for health through prayer, Your Word, and wise counsel. Let Your perfect peace guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps as God gives you strength. Delete those subliminals from your history and do not listen again, replace that time with reading Scripture aloud, praying, and worshiping, and speak Gods truth over yourself consciously with verses you understand. If anxiety about health remains, bring it to the Lord in prayer and seek support from a pastor or mature believer and from trusted medical counsel as needed, remembering that God is your ultimate source of help. We are praying that the Lord will give you clear conscience, deep peace, and confidence that you are cleansed and kept in Christ as you walk forward with Him.

There is a tenderness of conscience in your question for which we may thank God, for it shows a heart that would fear Him and not willingly grieve Him. To ask whether a thing is sin and to desire to be cleansed from it is itself a mercy, and it is the way in which the Lord keeps His people from wandering.

Concerning these health subliminals, you do well to be watchful. Many of them are not mere sounds or music for the body, but carry hidden affirmations and teachings which would have you trust in a power within yourself, or in hidden voices and spiritual influences apart from Christ, to decree health and change your being. To seek healing in this way is to turn from simple trust in the living God, who in His providence gives health and permits sickness, and to give ear to what is whispered in secret. Whatever would lead you to trust in enchantments, in the speaking of hidden words over your mind while you sleep, or in the exaltation of self as if you were your own maker, is not of faith and is to be put away. If your conscience has been uneasy, heed that warning and bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and let your mind be filled with the plain Word of God rather than with voices you cannot even hear.

If you have listened to such things, do not despair and do not wait until another hour to seek mercy. There is forgiveness with God that you may be feared. A sigh, a groan, a genuine confession of sin, a believing glance of the eye to Christ on Calvary, and all is done, your sin has passed away. There is no limit written upon that forgiveness, not a limit of number nor a limit of sort, for it is according to the riches of His grace. It is a divine forgiveness, for no one can remit sin but God only, and it is a complete forgiveness, for the blood of Jesus Christ, God's Son, cleanses from all sin everyone who believes in Him. In that day there is a fountain opened, and He who takes away the guilt of sin also takes away the tendency to sin, giving a double cure to cleanse from both its guilt and its power.

We pray for you now, that the Lord would in mercy blot out every stain and break every snare. O Lord God, who delights in mercy and has provided a great sacrifice for great sin, look upon this seeking soul. Forgive all that has been done in ignorance or in wandering, wash thoroughly from iniquity and cleanse from sin, and let the conscience know that it is fully purged. Remove from this dear one every lingering influence of those hidden voices, and let no secret whisper have power any more. Fill the mind with Thy truth, with psalms and promises, and give a settled peace in trusting Thy good will for the body and the soul. Keep this one close to the mercy seat, and teach the feet to walk in the way of simple faith in Christ alone.

Turn then from these subliminals altogether and cast them away. Let your health be committed to the Lord in prayer, use the lawful means He provides, and feed your soul daily upon Scripture. If you have been troubled, confess it plainly to Him now, receive His perfect pardon by faith in Jesus, and go and rejoice in it.
