Soon appointments

Beloved of All
Prayers to getting sooner appointments, they're too far off and feel so ill and tired lately, please Jesus heal and strengthen so much on our plate. Heal thinning hair and hearing diabetes possible cancer and more, amen

We join you together before the throne of grace and lift up your weariness, your illness, and the burden of waiting for appointments that feel so far away while you feel so ill and tired and have so much on your plate.

We know our Heavenly Father sees every detail of what you are carrying, even the thinning hair and the struggles with hearing, the concern over diabetes and the fear of possible cancer, and nothing is too small or too great for His healing hand. We are reminded that He heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. We cling to His promise that He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength in Isaiah 40:29 and that He will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17.

We pray together in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His name we have access to the Father and by His stripes we are healed. Father, we ask in Jesus name that You would make a way for sooner appointments, that You would open doors for cancellations and favor with the schedulers and physicians, and guide the hands and wisdom of every doctor and provider who will care for our dear one. Lord, touch the body that is so tired and ill, strengthen what is weak, restore what is thinning and fading, regulate what is out of balance with diabetes, and we ask You to drive out any cancer or disease that may be present, for You are the Lord who heals us as You declared in Exodus 15:26. Grant deep rest and renewal to one who is overwhelmed, and lift the weight of all that is on the plate. We cast all anxiety on You because You care for us according to 1 Peter 5:7, and we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus as promised in Philippians 4:7.

We encourage you to keep seeking help and to let the offices know of your urgent need, to ask to be placed on cancellation lists and to keep following up, while also resting in the invitation of Jesus when He said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. Keep bringing every fear and symptom to Him in prayer with thanksgiving, trusting that He is working even in the waiting, that He numbers the hairs of your head and knows your every need. We continue to stand with you for complete healing, for renewed strength, and for the peace of God to sustain you day by day until you see His answers, and we thank Him that He hears us when we pray together in Jesus name, amen.

We are praying with you as you wait for those appointments. Waiting is so hard when you feel ill and tired every day and there is still so much on your plate. It makes sense you would feel worn down and anxious with all these health worries together, the thinning hair and hearing changes and concerns about diabetes and cancer.

We know those distant appointment dates can feel discouraging, as if you are left to carry this alone until then. Please keep staying in close touch with your care team while you wait, and let them know how you are feeling day to day. If you have not already, you might ask the clinic to put you on a cancellation or wait list and ask your primary care office if a nurse or scheduler can help advocate for an earlier opening. It can also help to bring a short written list of your main symptoms and questions and, if possible, have a trusted family member or friend come with you to help keep track.

You are carrying a lot, and it is understandable to feel fragile and overwhelmed right now. We are asking God to give you strength for each day, rest when you can find it, and clear guidance for your doctors.

Father, we lift our friend to You now. You see how tired and unwell they feel and how much they are carrying. Please provide sooner care where possible, give wisdom to their medical team, and grant comfort, strength and peace as they wait. Sustain them daily and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus name, amen.

Your burden has been laid before the throne of grace and we have carried it there with you. To feel so ill and so tired, to wait for appointments that seem far off while the body grows weak and the cares of life press heavily, is a sore trial indeed. The Lord knows how much is upon your plate and He sees the weariness that comes with thinning hair, with failing hearing, with the fear of diabetes and the dread word cancer and all else that afflicts you.

We are reminded that our God is a waiting God and His people are a waiting people. The prophet says the Lord waiteth that He may be gracious unto you, and you in turn are called to wait upon Him. To wait for the physician's help is hard, and to wait upon the Lord in that interval is the soul's true exercise. This waiting is not waiting in despair, nor even in hesitation, but waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. As you wait for sooner help, may you find that waiting upon the Lord renews strength. He gives a mysterious strength through the incoming of His Spirit into the soul, He makes the world and its affairs to seem small, and He breeds a peace within which helps the heart to bear trials and foes. He is at the helm and His hand will steer your course even when appointments tarry.

There is abundant healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. And healing and pardon are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the man sick of the palsy He first said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. So we point you first to the great Physician of souls who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. Look to Christ alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved, and in Him forgiveness flows freely. Then bring the body also to Him, for the Sun of Righteousness is risen with healing in His wings. He is able to heal, and Calvary is the place for the healing balm. Whether He heals at once or sustains you through a longer course, His touch has virtue in it still.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord, our God, Thou seest this weary one, faint and ill, waiting and heavy laden. Have mercy and let Thy grace be near. Forgive sin for Jesus sake and let pardon bring peace to the conscience. Lay Thy hand upon this body, we beseech Thee. Thou knowest the thinning hair, the failing hearing, the fear of diabetes and of cancer and every other infirmity. Thou art the God who healeth all our diseases. If it be Thy will, bring sooner appointments and raise up skillful hands to help, and give wisdom to those who care. Till then, strengthen for each day, renew strength as we wait upon Thee, and lift up the heart that is cast down. Let this afflicted one feel Thy presence, know Thy forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, and be kept in perfect peace. We ask in the name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.

Take heart and continue to wait upon the Lord. Keep the appointments that are set and seek help diligently, for the Lord often works through the physician, yet set your chief hope upon Christ Himself. Tell Him all your need in simple prayer, trust His pardoning blood, and rest in His gracious waiting until the time of love shall come. He will not forget you, and His healing, whether in this life or in the life to come where faces shine fresher than newborn babes, shall be complete.
