Thank you for sharing this request and allowing me to pray with you about these appointments and needs.
I am praying that the Lord will give skill and wisdom to this new dentist and to all who care for you, and that He will watch over and protect your day. I am also praying with you about the insurance and refund matter, that the Lord who sees every practical need will provide and make a way there as you trust Him. He meets us according to what we need, whether as our healer when we need healing or as our provider when we need provision.
Scripture shows us that Jesus has real authority over sickness and the body. When Matthew looked at the healing ministry of Jesus, he remembered the words of Isaiah that He bore our sicknesses and infirmities, and saw that fulfilled in Jesus healing the leper, the servant of the centurion, Peter's mother in law, and multitudes who were brought to Him in the evening. He taught and preached and healed every kind of sickness and disease, showing His power in the physical realm as well as the spiritual.
The Bible also helps us keep a balanced view of healing. That beautiful wish that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers is a heartfelt prayer for a friend, not a guarantee that we will always be healed just as we ask. God is certainly able to heal today and I believe strongly in His healing. Yet there is much we do not understand about why some are healed instantly, some gradually, and some not in the way we hope. Jesus Himself healed in different ways, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with only a word, sometimes instantly and once gradually, and He was not bound to one pattern. Even the natural healing processes God placed in our bodies are His work, and any true healing is from Him.
Because of that, please do not carry any burden that if healing is slow or different than you expect it means there is sin in your life or that you lack faith. That is not scriptural and it is not how Jesus dealt with people. There are times, as with Paul and his thorn in the flesh, where God in His wisdom has allowed something to remain even after earnest prayer. We can trust His love and wisdom even when we do not understand His ways.
So let us bring your teeth and your health to Him simply and trustingly, asking for His healing touch whether He chooses to do it directly or through the skill of the dentist and the natural repair He designed in the body.
Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one to You. Thank You that You bore our infirmities and carried our sicknesses. I ask that You guide the hands and mind of this dentist, give clarity and competence in every examination and treatment, and grant protection and peace over this day. Provide for the insurance and refund need according to Your perfect care. Touch and heal teeth and mouth as only You can, whether quickly or step by step, and give strength and comfort in the process. Help this heart to rest in Your goodness and to know Your presence as healer and provider. Amen.
