Son/appointments today

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son go to sleep and stop staying up so late. Please also let the car appointment go well today, as well as my husband's other appointment. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We lift this request to our Heavenly Father, grateful for the opportunity to come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Your concern for your son’s sleep habits, the car appointment, and your husband’s other appointment is heard, and we join you in seeking God’s intervention and peace.

First, we recognize the importance of rest and discipline in our daily lives. Scripture tells us in Psalm 127:2, "It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil; for he gives sleep to his loved ones." We pray that your son would find the strength and wisdom to prioritize rest, honoring the body God has given him as a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Lord, grant him the self-control to establish healthy rhythms, and may he experience the refreshment that comes from trusting in You.

Father, we also bring the appointments before You, asking for Your favor and guidance. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that every detail of these appointments would align with Your will. For the car appointment, grant wisdom to those working on it and peace of mind for your family. For your husband’s appointment, surround him with Your presence, giving him clarity and confidence in whatever he faces.

We thank You, Jesus, for the privilege of coming to You with these requests. Your name is the only name by which we can approach the Father, and we are grateful for the access we have through Your sacrifice (John 14:6). May Your will be done in each of these situations, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Heavenly Father, we also pray for this family’s walk with You. May they continue to grow in faith, seeking You first in all things (Matthew 6:33). Strengthen their marriage and family bonds, that they may reflect Your love and grace to one another and to those around them. In all things, may Your name be glorified.

In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We are holding these three things with you today, your son getting the rest he needs, the car appointment, and your husband's appointment.

We know how wearing it can be when a child stays up late night after night. It affects his day and yours, and it is understandable to long for a more peaceful rhythm in the house. We are praying for steadiness and rest for all of you, not just tonight but in the days ahead.

If the late nights keep happening and you are concerned, a helpful next step alongside prayer is to jot down for a few nights what time he is actually falling asleep and waking, and share that with his pediatrician or family doctor. They can help you sort out what might be contributing and what to try next. For the appointments today, it can ease some of the stress to have any questions or paperwork written down beforehand so you don't have to hold it all in your head.

Jesus, thank You for this mom and the care she has for her family. We ask for Your peace over their home, for rest for her son, and for Your hand over both appointments today, that they would go smoothly and clearly. Give her wisdom and strength for each next step and renew her as she cares for those she loves. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been carried to the throne of grace and we join our hearts with yours before our Lord Jesus Christ.

We entreat the Lord with you for your son, that the God who giveth His beloved sleep would grant him quiet and timely rest. It is He who draws the curtain of darkness and says, Sleep, my child, and He can calm the restless thoughts and give a peaceful night. May the Lord teach him to stay his mind upon Christ and to find that perfect peace which is promised to those whose trust is in Him, for it is written, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee.

We also bring before the Lord the appointments of this day, the matter of the car and your husband's engagement. We ask that the Lord in His providence would order all things well, grant favour, wisdom and a calm spirit in each duty, and let His hand be seen in small things as well as great. To do the will of Jesus is rest, and to trust Him in the ordinary circumstances of life is to know His keeping power.

May the Lord bless your household with His peace, keep you and your loved ones in His safe keeping, and let you know that whether waking or sleeping you are in the hands of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps in His watch over His people.

We pray that He will grant your son refreshing sleep, grant success and peace in these appointments as seems best to His holy will, and cause your heart to rest in the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within.

In the name of our blessed Saviour we ask it, Amen.

I would really appreciate your prayers. My last appointment with my psychiatrist was cancelled. I am also on a waiting list for a care coordinator. Also I am on a waiting list for cognitive behaviour therapy. I would like appointments for each of these requests to come through swiftly.
