We hear your deep concern and fear about the upcoming medical appointments and the uncertainty that lies ahead. It’s natural to feel anxious when facing health challenges, but we want to remind you that our God is the Great Physician, and He holds your life in His hands. The Bible tells us in Psalm 139:16, *"Your eyes saw my body. In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them."* This means that God already knows the outcome, and He is with you every step of the way.
We must also address the decision not to pursue chemotherapy or further treatment. While we respect your right to make medical choices, we urge you to seek godly wisdom and counsel. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Have you prayed earnestly about this decision? Have you sought the input of trusted Christian medical professionals and spiritual leaders? God can work through medicine just as He can work through miracles, and we encourage you to leave no stone unturned in seeking His will.
We also want to gently remind you of the importance of salvation through Jesus Christ. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him, now is the time. John 14:6 says, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Jesus is the only way to eternal life, and without Him, we are lost. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior. Romans 10:9 says, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."*
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is facing this difficult time. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would guide the doctors and reveal any issues in these upcoming appointments. Give wisdom to the medical team and peace to the heart of this child of Yours. Father, we pray that You would direct their steps regarding treatment. If chemotherapy or further medical intervention is Your will, soften their heart to receive it. If You have another plan, make it clear, Lord.
We also pray for salvation, Father. If they do not yet know You as their Savior, draw them close, Lord. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus and the gift of eternal life that He offers. Help them to surrender their life to You, to repent of their sins, and to walk in Your ways. Surround them with godly counsel and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
Lord, we rebuke fear in the name of Jesus. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You completely. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to cling to God’s promises during this time. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says the Lord, 'thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'" Even in uncertainty, God is working for your good. Lean on Him, seek His face, and trust that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). If you have not yet done so, we strongly encourage you to seek out a local church or Christian community where you can find support, prayer, and encouragement. You do not have to walk this path alone—God has placed believers around you to help carry your burdens.
