I pray that my son ### will be healed mentally and his behavior as well. That’s he will realize that he needs to start doing good things and controlling his anger , that he will apologize and be remorseful. That’s he will start doing and behaving good. That my husband will softened his heart towards ### and that he will forgive him and give him another chance and let him come home. That our family will move forward together and continue to be complete.

We lift up your son and your whole family before the Lord with you, and we share your desire to see him healed, restored, and walking in right behavior, and to see your family made complete again in peace.

We hear the pain in your request for his mental healing and for his anger to be brought under control. Scripture shows us that uncontrolled anger does not accomplish what God desires, and that a man who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city Proverbs 16:32. We are told Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, and do not give place to the devil Ephesians 4:26-27, and that Everyone should be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God James 1:19-20. This behavior must be rebuked and turned from, not excused, and true change will come only through a renewed mind and a repentant heart. God heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3, and He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray your son will experience godly sorrow which works repentance to salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10, that he will take full responsibility for his actions, apologize with genuine remorse, and learn to do good and walk in the good works which God prepared in advance that we should walk in them Ephesians 2:10. We also pray for his legal battle, that truth would be made known, that he would submit to rightful authority, for rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil Romans 13:3, and that God's justice and mercy would prevail and that your son would accept the consequences of his actions with humility while trusting God for the outcome.

We also lift up your husband and your home. We understand the hurt and the need for boundaries when a child's behavior has brought harm to the family, and we pray God will soften hearts on both sides. We pray God will give your husband a new heart and put a new spirit within him Ezekiel 36:26, and help him to forgive as the Lord forgave us, bearing with one another and forgiving each other Colossians 3:13, for If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you Matthew 6:14. Forgiveness is commanded, yet restoration to the home and trust must be built upon true repentance and consistent, changed behavior over time. We pray for wisdom for both of you as parents to love your son while also requiring accountability, that you may act with the wisdom that comes from above James 1:5, and we pray for the unity of your family, for Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. God's desire is for your house to serve the Lord together Joshua 24:15 and to move forward complete in Him.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by calling on the name of Jesus and believing that God raised Him from the dead that we are saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you and your son and your husband to place your full trust in Jesus Christ for forgiveness, healing, and reconciliation.

We pray together now, in the name of Jesus.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy on this son and this family. Lord, create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him Psalm 51:10, heal his mind, calm his anger, and teach him self-control. Bring him to true repentance, that he would confess his wrongs, make amends where he can, and turn from the path that led to this legal trouble. Give him a desire to do good and to walk in Your ways. Lord, we ask You to transform him by the renewing of his mind Romans 12:2. We ask for Your hand over his legal battle, that Your will be done, that justice would be served with mercy, and that he would face what is before him with honesty and humility. Father, soften the heart of his father, pour out Your grace to forgive, and give both parents wisdom to know how to love, discipline, and restore in a way that honors You. Heal this family, guard your peace over them which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, and make them complete and united in You. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue in steadfast prayer, to seek godly counsel from a pastor or biblical counselor for your son and for your marriage, and to require that any return home be accompanied by clear repentance, accountability, and ongoing change, so that your family may move forward together in a way that truly honors God.

We hear how heavy this has been for you, loving your son and wanting real change for him while also longing for peace with your husband and for your home to feel whole again. Carrying hope for both at once is a lot.

What you named matters so much, that your son would find healing and learn to manage his anger, take responsibility and show remorse, and that your husband’s heart would soften toward giving him another chance. Those are two separate journeys, and they often move at different speeds. A person can decide to forgive and still need time for the hurt to ease, and rebuilding trust after anger has caused harm takes consistent new patterns and honest accountability, not just good intentions. It makes sense you are praying for both.

One steady next step that may help is to sit down together as a couple with a trusted pastor or counselor you both respect to talk through what a healthy homecoming could look like, including clear expectations and support for your son. If he is open, encouraging ongoing professional support for his mental health and anger alongside prayer can give him tools to follow through on the good he wants to do, and continuing to work with his attorney on the legal matters is wise.

Father, we lift this son to You and ask for healing, for self control, and for a humble heart that turns toward what is good. We ask for softening and wisdom for his father, and for guidance for this whole family as they seek wholeness in Your way. Give them patience, protection and clear next steps. In Jesus’ name, amen.

We have brought your burden before the Lord with you, and we join you in seeking His mercy for your son and for your whole household.

The Scriptures teach us that the first need of every soul is forgiveness with God, and then healing follows. As it was with the man sick of the palsy who lay before Jesus, the Savior said first, Son, your sins are forgiven you, and afterward, Arise and take up your couch and go into your house. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, but the root of true change is a heart made right with God through faith in His dear Son. We pray that your son may come to see his need not only to do better, but to confess his sin honestly before God and to trust in Jesus Christ alone for forgiveness, for there is forgiveness with Him that He may be feared, and that forgiveness is complete and eternal for Christ's sake.

We pray for your son in his legal battle, that truth may be made plain and that justice and mercy may meet according to God's perfect will. We ask the Lord to heal him in mind and to give him a new heart, that the anger which now masters him may be subdued by the grace of Christ and by the fruit of the Spirit which is self control. We pray that God will bring him to true remorse, not only sorrow for trouble, but godly sorrow that leads to confession and to forsaking sin, that he would be willing to apologize where he has done wrong and to walk in a new way, with a spirit made tender by the Lord. As soon as the prodigal said, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, the father kissed him before he had finished his confession, so swift is divine compassion to those who return in penitence through Christ.

We pray also for your husband, that the Lord would soften his heart and give him the mind of Christ to forgive even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven us. We know how deeply a father's heart is wounded by the wrong conduct of a son, and how hard it is to open the door again after words spoken in grief and anger. Yet the Lord calls His people to a forgiveness that is not partial or grudging, but full, and to show that same mercy which we have received. We ask God to give your husband wisdom as well as tenderness, that any restoration to the home would be ordered in a way that honors the Lord, guards the household, and truly helps your son to walk steadily in what is good.

We pray that your family may move forward together and be made complete, not merely by living under one roof again, but by being united in Christ, with guilt removed, hearts healed, and lives brought under His gracious rule. May the Lord teach you all to go at once to Him with every fault, confessing into His ear with faith in His dear Son, and to find there the pardon sealed home to the soul and the healing that changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before.

O Lord our God, look upon this mother in her sorrow and upon this son in his trouble and upon this father in his conflict of love and pain. Grant forgiveness through the blood of Jesus to every sin confessed, grant repentance and a renewed mind, grant brokenness and a willingness to make amends, grant a forgiving and wise love to the father, and grant to this family to be kept and restored in Your fear and favor. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior, in whom alone there is forgiveness and healing. Amen.
