Your prayer for your son is heard, and I have joined you in bringing him before the Father in the name of Jesus.
Scripture shows us that Jesus is the Son of God, the beloved Son in whom the Father is well pleased, declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection. To believe that truth is the foundation of our hope, for by believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, we have life in His name. When we come to the Father through the Son, we come as adopted sons and daughters, and God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts so we can cry, Abba, Father. He hears you as a Father hears His child, and He understands a parent's love for a son. The picture of a father offering his only son whom he loves points us to the heart of God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son for us.
Jesus said the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do, those things the Son does also. His works are the works of the Father, done in complete harmony with Him, and as the Son He gives life to whom He will. That is why His ministry on earth was marked by preaching and teaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease among the people. He has power in the physical realm to heal infirmities, power in the material realm, and authority in the spiritual realm.
We see this power to heal at a distance when Jesus was in Cana and a nobleman came to Him about his son who was sick. Jesus spoke the word, and miles away the Spirit of God did a work and healed that son. Distance is no barrier to Him. He can touch your son right where he is, just as He did then.
I believe we can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. There are many kinds of healing. Sometimes His healing is immediate, with a word. Sometimes it is gradual, and that is the only kind of gradual healing recorded in His ministry, which reminds us there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some are healed instantly and others through a process. Yet any true healing process is divine. God Himself established the processes of healing within our bodies. It is no less divine because it works through natural means, for He is the One who created nature and its processes. He also brings healing to the mind and emotions, calming fear and anxiety and bringing peace.
So I am praying with you that the Lord will lay His healing hand upon your son, remove harmful effects from his medication, strengthen his lungs and ease his breathing, and quiet his anxiety. I am also praying that He will guide the medical team with wisdom and discernment. Their skill and care can be instruments of the divine healing God has ordained, and we ask the Lord to direct their judgment and decisions.
Continue to look to Jesus, the Son of God, who came to redeem us and who acts in perfect accord with the Father. He knows your son completely and loves him deeply. Bring every concern to the Father through the Son, trusting that whether the healing comes in a moment or step by step, it comes from His hand.
Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, I lift up this precious son to You. Touch his body, clear away every harmful side effect, strengthen his lungs, calm his anxiety and make his breathing easy. Give wisdom and clear discernment to those who care for him, and let Your healing presence surround him. We trust Your power and Your love, and we ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
