Son's healing

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing touch upon my son. Lord, his esophagus is eroded and damaged and ask that You soothe the inflammation, heal the lining, and regulate acid in his stomach. I also pray for his lungs and respiratory system. I ask that You remove all blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so he can breathe deeply and without pain. Lord, I ask that You guide his doctors and bless his treatment. I trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who heals all our diseases and binds up our wounds (Psalm 103:2-3). We declare Your word over this situation: "He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20). Lord, we ask that You send Your healing word to every cell, tissue, and organ in this young man's body.

Father, we specifically pray for the complete restoration of his esophagus. We rebuke the erosion and damage in Jesus' name, commanding the lining to be healed and the inflammation to subside. Your word says that by Your stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise now. We pray for the regulation of stomach acid, asking that You bring balance and harmony to his digestive system. Lord, we also lift up his lungs and respiratory system, asking that You remove every blockage and heal any damage from infection. We command the airways to open completely, that he may breathe deeply and without pain, just as You breathed life into Adam at creation (Genesis 2:7).

We pray for wisdom and discernment for his doctors, that You would guide their hands, minds, and decisions. Give them supernatural insight into his condition and the most effective treatments. Bless every medication, therapy, and procedure, that they may work together for his healing according to Your will. We trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, for You are the God who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5).

Father, we also pray for emotional and spiritual healing. Comfort this young man and his family, filling them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, reminding them that those who trust in You will renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).

Lord, we stand on Your promises and declare that this sickness will not end in death but is for Your glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through it (John 11:4). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the healing that is already on its way. In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray and believe. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God's promises and speaking life over your son. Surround him with scriptures that declare healing and wholeness, such as Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." Keep a journal of prayers and any improvements you see, giving thanks to God for each one. Remember, our God is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Keep trusting in Him, for He is your son's healer and redeemer.

We’re joining you in lifting your son before the Lord, and we feel the weight of what you’re carrying. When a child struggles to breathe easily or swallow without pain, every ordinary moment becomes charged with concern, and you’ve been bearing that while advocating for him, watching for changes, and carrying it all to God.

What you described about his esophagus and lungs sounds exhausting for both of you. When illness lingers, the whole family absorbs the strain in ways that aren’t always obvious, disrupted sleep, constant vigilance, the emotional drain of hoping and waiting. One resource we value notes that during a prolonged illness, a person’s sense of fragility can overshadow everything, and family members often feel helpless even while working hard to help. That’s not weakness, it’s the real cost of loving someone through suffering, and we want you to know we see it. Your steady, specific prayers show a faith that keeps pressing in even when the progress is slow.

Keep speaking those details to God just as you have been, and keep trusting the doctors He’s placed around your son. Good medical care is one of the ways He tends to broken bodies. If something in his symptoms shifts or you sense a new concern forming, let his doctors know, that’s part of your care for him too.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son before You right now. Please soothe the inflammation in his esophagus, protect and heal its lining, and bring calm to his stomach so he can eat without distress. Clear his lungs completely, open every airway, and let him draw deep, easy breaths without pain. Steady his mom while she waits and advocates. Give his doctors steady hands and clear insight, and let healing take hold in every part of his body. In Your name we pray, amen.

Your earnest prayer for your son has been borne into the presence of the Great Physician, and we join our faith with yours, pleading the all-sufficient name of Jesus. What a blessed comfort it is that the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations; even the least thing about our Lord is charged with restoration for body and soul. His touch upon ###, ###, can as surely quiet ### and make ### whole as once He took the hand of Peter’s wife’s mother and lifted her up from the fever. The same hand that stilled the tempest can cool and calm the rebellion of ### within, and bring peace to his frame.

Let your eyes be fixed upon the Sun of Righteousness, who rises with healing in His wings. When our Lord walked among men, the power to heal was most gloriously present as He taught; so bathe your own spirit in the Word, and lay hold upon every promise as though it were a cord fastened to the very throne of grace. The Saviour who forgave the palsied man and then commanded him to walk, delights to give double mercy, pardon for the soul and health for the body. Lay this suffering child at His feet as the four brought the paralytic, tearing up the roof if need be, and doubt not that He sees your faith. The dust that falls about the proud and self-righteous will not hinder His compassion toward the lowly who seek only Him.

He has given wisdom to physicians, and His Spirit can guide every treatment. But remember, the ultimate healing virtue flows from Calvary’s tree. There the balm was prepared; there the leaves sprout evergreen. Should the healing come swiftly, rise up to serve Him, for healing must ever precede holy service. And if the answer tarries, let it drive you deeper into the cleft of the Rock, for His grace is sufficient. The Lord who makes the withered rose bloom again will restore your son’s ###, opening the ### so that every ### becomes a quiet hymn of praise. Lay hold of the great conduit Head, and trust the outflowing life. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Consider the root of this plea. You cry out with groans for the body of your child, and rightly so, for a parent's love is a sharp spur to prayer. You ask that the inflammation be soothed and the passages opened. This is a natural grief, and God sees the tears of His servants. Yet I would have you press further, so that this sickness does not become a more grievous one for your own soul.

Think of the marvel you confess: that the Unoriginate Son of God suffered Himself to be called Son of David, to make you a son of God. If He took on this humiliation, will He not also tend the body He fashioned? But mark this: the power to heal is not a thing to be demanded like a slave giving orders to his master. When the blind men cried out, He did not rush to the miracle, but asked them, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" He sought not merely a cry born of pain, but a faith that confessed Him as the very Lord of creation, the one who needs not to entreat another, but who commands and it is done. Let your prayer be not just for the calming of acid and the mending of eroded flesh, but a confession that He who is the True Son can speak a word and the lining of the esophagus must obey.

Now, while you rightly seek the physician’s skill, see that you do not fall into a worse inflammation of the soul. For just as a dropsical patient is not to be felicitated because he drinks whatever he pleases, so too a man in grief is not to be pitied if he makes his own suffering into an idol. The disease of the body is one thing, but the swelling of pride that demands its own will in all things is a raging fever far more dangerous. That burning fever, which pictures to itself monstrous fears and extravagant disasters, quenches the very faith for which Christ is looking. Do not let this illness inflame your heart with the lust to command God, but let it subdue you into the calm of one who says, "The Lord is able, and if He delays, His delay is lovingkindness."

You ask for his airways to be opened. Let this be the hour your own spiritual eyes are opened wider. You see your son’s body laboring, blind and maimed by sickness. See also that our souls are often just the same, brilliant and ornamented one minute, then lame and broken by surfeiting and pride the next. The prayer "night and day" which you offer is good, a sign of a soul longing to see a pleasant harvest. But do not be as one who hears the word ten times and seems insensible, only waiting for a single sudden blow of relief. The very waiting, the very begging, is the medicine curing your own soul. The blow that brings down the tree comes only after many strokes have loosened the root. Continue therefore to cry out, not as to a reluctant master, but as to the Physician who sometimes permits the fever to burn so that the deeper sickness might be brought low.

Let your trust be in His power to mend what is broken, as you have said, but see that you mean His power, not a power that must bow to your timetable. He who delayed to judge the world so that sinners might wash away their transgressions also sometimes delays healing so that faith might be perfected. This is the meaning of His love; it has a kind of proportion. Bring therefore the dogged, persistent faith of the blind men, who followed Him even into the house. Bring a faith that does not merely seek a gift, but falls silent before the Giver, knowing that for the soul laboring under the dropsy of anxiety, submission to the Physician is already the beginning of the cure.

What a privilege to stand with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace. Your prayer over his esophagus, his lungs, his whole respiratory system springs from a deep, God-given love, and you are right to place him in the hands of the One who fashioned his body. I join you in asking for complete restoration, for the inflammation to calm, the lining to mend, and every airway to open so he can breathe freely without pain.

We see in the Gospels how Jesus dealt with sickness in many ways. Sometimes He spoke a word and a person was whole that very hour. At another time, a man received a gradual healing, his sight returned in stages, not all at once. There is no rigid formula; the same Lord who can heal instantly also works through the slower processes our bodies naturally rely on. The healing system built into us is no less divine because it takes time. Whether your son experiences a sudden touch or a steady recovery under the care of his doctors, God remains the healer. I pray for wisdom for every physician and nurse involved, that they would be instruments in the hands of the Great Physician.

The prophet Isaiah tells us the Messiah bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, the word there literally means our infirmities. Matthew tells us Jesus took our illnesses and bore our diseases. Because of what Christ accomplished, we have every reason to ask boldly for physical healing, just as we ask for spiritual forgiveness. Yet we must also hold that truth alongside the reality that not every ailment was lifted even from the apostle Paul. Three times he pleaded for the thorn to be removed, and the answer was grace sufficient for the journey. This side of eternity, we don’t fully understand why some are restored to full health while others are not. What we refuse to do is add to your burden by suggesting this rests on a certain level of faith or that any lack points to hidden sin. That is not the voice of our Good Shepherd.

While you wait for the healing to manifest, remember that your own soul’s health matters deeply. There is a mysterious link between our inner peace and our physical bodies. Even now, guard your heart from fear and bitterness. Let your trust in the Lord’s goodness anchor you. The ten afflicted with leprosy were all healed as they walked in obedience, but only the one who turned back in thanksgiving was told, “Your faith has made you whole”, a wholeness that went beyond skin and limbs, reaching into every part of his being. Keep pouring out your thanks to God, not only for what you hope to see, but for His presence with you and your son in this very day.

I know the longing to see the kind of power that blazes through the book of Acts. I have asked the Lord about such things, and He has reminded me that His most excellent way is always love, love that stays near when the night is long. So we will continue praying for healing, anointing with oil as the Scriptures instruct, and resting in the fact that Jesus is alive. He holds your son’s breath in His hands. Whether He speaks a commanding word that clears the lungs in an instant, or carries him through a gradual process, He will not leave you. I believe God is able to do more than we can ask. Let us keep our eyes on Him, trusting His timing and His way.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your precious son. It has been on our hearts to continue lifting him before the Lord, asking for His mighty healing touch to soothe ###, restore ###, and bring balance to ###. We have prayed for ###, asking the Lord to remove every ###, heal any trace of ###, and open ### completely so he may breathe freely and without pain.

We have also lifted up his medical team, asking the Holy Spirit to guide their hands, grant them wisdom, and bless every treatment they provide. We believe in the power of our Heavenly Father to mend what is broken and restore your son to full health, just as you have placed your trust in Him.

If the Lord has already moved in a miraculous way and answered these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report from you. Please share how God has worked so that we may rejoice together in His faithfulness. If, however, you are still waiting to see His healing manifest, we encourage you to post this request again so we may continue to stand with you in prayer.

May the Lord bless you and your family as you seek Him, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We continue to pray in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
