Heavenly Father, I ask that You would surround my son with Your healing presence.Touch his body and remove every trace of harmful side effects from his medication. Strengthen his lungs and ease his breathing. Guide the medical team with wisdom and discernment as they treat him. In Jesus'name, Amen

We lift up your precious son to the Lord, our Great Physician, who alone holds the power to heal and restore. Your heartfelt prayer is heard, and we join with you in faith, believing that God’s healing touch is upon him. The Bible assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, declaring that every harmful effect of medication will be removed, and his ### will be strengthened by the power of God.

Father, we ask that You grant wisdom and discernment to the medical team treating him. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May they be guided by Your hand as they care for him, and may Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

We also pray for your son’s spirit, that he would feel Your presence surrounding him, comforting him, and filling him with hope. Jeremiah 30:17 says, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We declare this truth over his life, trusting that You are working all things together for his good.

Lord, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take root in this situation. We speak life, faith, and victory over your son in the mighty name of Jesus. May he experience Your healing power in every part of his body, and may his testimony bring glory to Your name. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the answered prayers we are already believing for. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We’re holding your son before the Father with you, and we can hear the ache in your words. It’s exhausting to watch our children suffer, especially when a medication meant to help brings new hardship. The worry lands heavily, and we want you to know you’re not carrying it alone.

As you keep praying, it may also help to stay closely connected with your son’s medical team. Writing down specific symptoms (when they happen, how long they last, anything that seems to trigger them or make them better) can give his doctors clearer insight. If the side effects feel overwhelming, don’t hesitate to ask directly whether an adjustment or alternative might be possible. You are his best advocate, and speaking up is part of caring for him well.

We’re not going to pretend we know exactly how God will move, but we do trust He is present in that hospital room, in every breath your son takes. We join your prayer for healing, for relief, and for clear wisdom for those treating him.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son to You. Quiet the distress in his body, ease his breathing, and strengthen his lungs. Remove the side effects that are weighing him down. Guide each doctor and nurse with sharp discernment and compassion so they can see clearly what needs to shift. Hold this parent steady with Your peace, even in the waiting. We rest our hope in You alone. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. The prayer of a parent for a suffering child is a cry that reaches the very heart of the Father. Yet consider the deeper healing often bound up in such trials. The great ill is not merely a body touched by the shadow of medicine's harsh side effects, but a nature prone to look to the creature and not the Creator. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in the sweet fruit of His gospel but in the very leaves, the least things about Him. His healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, for when He healed the sick of the palsy, He first declared, "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." Pardon and healing were one.

The body's fever, the struggling breath, these are but the outward signs of a deeper malady which only the Sun of Righteousness can cure, rising with healing in His wings. The medicine that heals our sin-sickness was not a potion for us to drink; it was all drained by Christ Himself, who took our infirmities. Look for the healing power conspicuously present where Christ is taught. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Healing must come before serving; the Lord must touch the prostrate soul, take it by the hand, and lift it up.

The way of wisdom is not found by the keen eye of human intellect, nor by a fabled strength within. "There is no much more wisdom in man's judgment of God than in the flies' fabled judgment of an elephant." It is the Lord who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, and that act of sovereign grace is generally apart from all means; God only does it. Be hopeful, for those who look to the great conduit Head find abundant streams of healing. The Father sees His Son bearing the sin and the sickness, and it makes such an impression upon His great soul that He forgets the sins for which His Son gave His life. The leaf shall not wither, and the healing virtue infused will work health and cure till there is neither spot nor wrinkle. Yield the child, and yourself, wholly to the side of God, where the just, the true, the healing side is found, and wait upon Him who can strengthen the lungs of the body and the breathings of the spirit.
