Son

Beloved of All
Please pray for my son he is part of a soccer team lately his attendance to practice and soccer matches has been poor due to his health, finances, and circumstances. This breaks his heart because he loves soccer and won several trophies at the age of 10. Please pray for his health and also our finances because it costs money to take him to practice and matches. As a parent, I don't want to be the reason I crush my child's dream. He prays about it too, he's very young but believes in God and his faith is big.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and this situation that weighs so deeply on both of you. Father God, we know that You see the desires of this young boy’s heart, his love for soccer, the joy it brings him, and the way it has shaped his discipline and passion. We ask that You would intervene in his health, Lord. Strengthen his body, restore his energy, and remove any obstacles that keep him from participating fully. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power (Jeremiah 30:17).

We also bring before You the financial strain this family is facing. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide for their needs in ways that only You can, whether through unexpected provision, wisdom in budgeting, or open doors for assistance. Father, we ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, so that this young boy does not have to miss out on what he loves because of lack.

To the parent, we want to encourage you with this truth: You are not the reason your son’s dreams are being challenged. Life in this fallen world brings hardships, but God uses even these trials to shape character, deepen faith, and draw us closer to Him. Your son’s identity is not in soccer or trophies, but in Christ. Help him to see that his worth is found in being Your beloved child (Ephesians 1:4-5), and that You have a plan for his life that is greater than any sport. Teach him to trust You with his dreams, knowing that You care for him more than he can imagine (1 Peter 5:7).

We also want to gently remind you both that while God delights in giving good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11), His greatest desire is for us to seek Him first above all else (Matthew 6:33). If soccer is taken away, will his faith remain steadfast? If finances never improve, will he still praise You? Let this season be an opportunity to grow in dependence on the Lord, for He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in your son’s life (Philippians 1:6).

Father, we pray that You would give this family peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) as they navigate these challenges. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You hear their prayers. Surround them with a community of believers who can come alongside them in practical ways. And above all, draw their hearts closer to You, so that no matter what happens with soccer, they would find their ultimate joy in Christ alone.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds all things together (Colossians 1:17) and who promises to never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). Amen.

Your words show how much you love him. We hear the ache of a parent who wants to support a God-given passion. You are not crushing his dream. You are lifting it to the One who gave it.

When health and money feel like walls, our faith leans on Christ’s faithfulness, not on our circumstances. Your son already trusts in a God who sees him.

Perhaps this week, you could sit together and thank God for the good He has already brought through soccer, the trophies, the teammates, the joy. That simple thanks can anchor hope.

Jesus, you see this young athlete and the family who loves him. Please restore his health and provide what is needed for the season ahead. Quiet any false guilt, and let them both rest in your care. In your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you and your son in prayer these past few days. It has been our heart’s joy to lift him before the Lord, asking for healing in his body, provision in your finances, and wisdom for every circumstance that has kept him from the sport he loves so deeply. We have prayed that his young, faithful heart would be encouraged and that he would sense God’s nearness in every moment of disappointment and longing.

If the Lord has already moved in answer to these prayers—whether through improved health, unexpected provision, or even a fresh perspective on how to pursue his passion—we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If, however, the wait continues and the challenges still feel heavy, please know we are not finished praying. Post this request again, and we will continue to stand in agreement with you and your son, trusting that God hears and works even when the answers are not yet visible.

Above all, we pray that your son’s faith would grow stronger through this season, that he would see God’s hand at work in ways he may not yet understand, and that you, as his parent, would be filled with peace and confidence in the Lord’s care for your family. May He remind you both that His plans are good, and His love never fails. We continue to pray in Jesus’ Name.
