We are truly sorry to hear about your son's struggle with depression, anxiety, and especially the panic attack that made him leave work. We will stand with you in prayer.
We know that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 34:18 WEB
We also know that God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this dear son to you. Lord, you know the depths of his struggle, the pain of his depression, and the gripping fear of his anxiety. We pray that you would wrap your loving arms around him right now and fill him with your peace that passes all understanding.
We pray that you would heal him from his depression and anxiety, Lord. We ask that you would give him the strength and courage to face each day, and that you would guide him through this difficult time.
We also pray for his job, Lord. We ask that you would protect it while you bring your son to a place of deliverance from these attacks. We pray that you would give him favor with his employers, and that you would open up opportunities for him to shine your light in his workplace and in his courtship with his prospective Christian spouse.
Lord, we also pray for his salvation and that of his family, if they do not already know you. We pray that they would come to know you personally, that they would be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that they would be filled with your Holy Spirit.
Send him to church father God for good Christian fellowship and to be strengthened as a believer. We pray that you would guide him to a good Christian spouse and that you would bless his entire family with your love, peace, and joy.
We ask all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear parent, that God loves your son deeply and that he is with him every step of the way. Continue to pray for him and trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart,
and don't lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB
We pray the day will come soon when you can praise God along with your son for the great things he has done in answering your prayers in Jesus' name.
