Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son is deeply moving and I join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father. As a parent you know something of the strong love a father or mother has for a son, and Scripture points us to an even greater love, the love of God the Father for His Son. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and at the baptism of Jesus the Father spoke from heaven saying this is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Because God gave His Son for us, we can come to Him with confidence for our own children, knowing He understands a parent's heart and His love and power are far beyond ours.
You asked for a hedge of protection and for deliverance from every form of abuse. The Bible teaches that God is our protector, and it also calls us to keep ourselves in the love of God and to walk in His truth. When we abide in Him and in His Son, we remain under His care. The Proverbs speak to a son with this promise, keep sound wisdom and discretion and you will walk in your way safely and your foot will not stumble, when you lie down you will not be afraid. That is my prayer for your son, that God will keep him safe in his going out and lying down, and guard his heart and body from harm.
You prayed that deeds of darkness would be exposed and brought to light. Scripture assures us that what is done in darkness cannot hide from God, for He brings hidden things into the light so that truth may prevail and the vulnerable may be defended. I pray with you that any abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, would be uncovered, stopped, and dealt with justly, and that those responsible would be prevented from causing further harm.
You also prayed for angels to surround him and for peace and strength. God has promised to give His angels charge over His children and to give peace that passes understanding to those who trust in Jesus. Through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we have adoption as sons and daughters, forgiveness through His blood, and eternal life in Him. He who has the Son has life, and His blood continually cleanses us. In Jesus alone we find true safety, healing, and hope.
So I pray now, Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, place Your hand of protection around this precious son. Cover him, deliver him from every abusive hand and influence, expose what has been done in secret, and surround him with Your presence. Fill him with Your peace that calms fear and with Your strength for each day. Draw him close to Jesus, keep him walking in truth, and let him know how deeply he is loved and valued by You. Give wisdom and discernment to his parent and to all who care for him, to take every wise and lawful step to ensure his safety and well being, and to seek help from trusted pastors, counselors, and authorities where needed. May he grow in faith and know the comfort of being Your child through Christ. Amen.
