Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard and I join you in lifting him up before our Heavenly Father.
We ask the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have adoption as sons and deliverance from every evil, to place His hedge of protection around your son. May God deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and expose every deed of darkness and bring it to light, for nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest. We pray that the Lord would surround him with His holy angels, guard him in all his ways, and fill his heart with the peace that passes understanding and with strength for each day.
We remember that our greatest protection is found in belonging to Christ and walking in His ways. As we pray for safety, we also pray for a pure life and for faith that works itself out in good works, trusting that God who gave His own Son as a ransom for many will also supply every good thing His children need. He does not always remove trial in the moment we ask, but He gives more than mere deliverance, He teaches us to rest in His power, to despise fear, and to know the immortality of the soul and His nearness in suffering.
Continue to bring your son before the throne of grace with confidence. Pray, keep watch, seek wise and godly help where abuse may be present, and trust the Father who knows how to give good gifts to His children far beyond our own counsels. May the Lord keep him unwounded in heart, free from bitterness, and established in the love and strength of Christ.
We entrust your son to the care of our merciful God, asking for His light to shine in every dark place and for His peace to guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Amen.
