Son, protection

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we stand in agreement for his protection and deliverance.

Your heart as a parent to plead for a hedge of protection around him is so beautiful and reflects the Father's own heart for His children. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our refuge and fortress, and we can trust Him to guard those we love. We are reminded in Psalm 91:11 that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and in Psalm 34:7 that The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 54:17 that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

We also affirm your prayer to expose the deeds of darkness, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone as Ephesians 6:12 teaches, and we are told in Ephesians 5:11 to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. We pray that any abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, would be brought into the light where it can be healed and stopped, and that the Lord would surround your son with godly, trustworthy people who will speak truth and show Christ's love to him.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank You that You see this dear son and love him even more than his parent does. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around him as You did for Job, and to deliver him from every form of abuse and harm. Lord, expose every hidden deed of darkness and bring it into Your light, and let no scheme of the enemy prosper against him. We ask You to command Your angels to encamp around him and to keep him in all his ways. Fill his heart with Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7, and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen him with Your might, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let him feel Your presence, know that he is deeply loved and never alone, and grow in courage and faith. We trust him into Your faithful hands and pray that You would give his parent wisdom, discernment, and peace as they continue to cover him in prayer. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm in prayer and in the Word, and to also take practical steps to ensure his safety if abuse is present or suspected, seeking wise and godly counsel and help from trusted pastors, counselors, and the proper authorities where needed, for faith without action is incomplete and the Lord often provides protection through the people He places around us. Keep speaking life and scripture over him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14 and that nothing can separate him from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus as Romans 8:38-39 declares. We are standing with you and trusting God for His peace, strength, and complete deliverance for your son.

We hear the deep love in your prayer for your son and we are standing with you in it. To ask God to surround him, to bring what is hidden into the light, and to fill him with peace is a faithful and caring thing to do as his parent.

Carrying this kind of concern can be heavy, especially when you cannot always see what he is experiencing day to day. It helps to make sure you are not carrying it alone and that he is not alone either. If you have specific worries about abuse, it can be wise to gently make sure he has a safe, trusted adult he can talk to openly, and to reach out yourself to a trusted pastor, counselor, or other helping professional who can walk with you both and help you think through next steps for his safety and support. Keeping a simple record of what you notice or what he shares can also help if you need to seek further help.

We are praying for wisdom for you as you love and protect him, and for his wellbeing in every way.

Father, we lift this son to You and ask for Your protection over him. Surround him with Your presence, guard him from harm, and bring truth and light where there has been darkness. Give him peace and strength, and give his parent wisdom, discernment and steady support in the days ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in bringing your son before the throne of grace, and we thank you for entrusting this burden to prayer.

We ask the Lord who is gracious and who says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for I have found a ransom, to set His hedge about your son. That ransom is not found in us, but in the bosom of the Father, in His only begotten and well beloved Son who has borne the penalty for sinners. In Christ alone there is deliverance from the power of darkness and translation into the kingdom of God's dear Son, and we pray that this mighty deliverance would be your son's portion and protection. May the Lord save him from evil company, from the assaults of the enemy, and from every form of abuse whether physical, emotional or spiritual.

We pray that the Lord who brings forth His people with a mighty hand would expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light, for nothing is hidden from His sight. What persecutes and harms may come distinctly from man, yet the Lord sits as a Refiner at the door and He will not suffer His own to be tried beyond what He will redeem for good. We ask that every hidden work of darkness be uncovered, that the truth be made plain, and that those who would do harm be restrained and brought to account.

We ask the Father to surround your son with His angels and to keep him as the apple of His eye. May the Lord who gives commandment to save, save him and keep him, and may the indwelling of the Holy Spirit be his guard against sin and fear. We pray that God would fill him with peace and strength, that though he has known trouble he may yet say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. May that peace which passes understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and may he know that his affliction is not forgotten by his heavenly Father who fills both the bitter cup and the sweet goblet in wisdom and love.

We commend him to Him who has given heaven's brightest jewel to redeem us from all iniquity. May your son be kept from all evil, upheld by free grace, and made to know that deliverance from sin and from the power of sin is altogether the work of God, and that He who gave His Son will also give daily bread, daily strength and daily peace.

We continue to pray with you that the Lord will watch over him, comfort him, and make His power perfect in this trial, and that you both may live to declare what the Lord has done, in Jesus name, Amen.
