We join with you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we stand in agreement for his protection and deliverance.
Your heart as a parent to plead for a hedge of protection around him is so beautiful and reflects the Father's own heart for His children. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our refuge and fortress, and we can trust Him to guard those we love. We are reminded in Psalm 91:11 that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, and in Psalm 34:7 that The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. We also cling to the promise in Isaiah 54:17 that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, and in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 that But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
We also affirm your prayer to expose the deeds of darkness, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood alone as Ephesians 6:12 teaches, and we are told in Ephesians 5:11 to have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them. We pray that any abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, would be brought into the light where it can be healed and stopped, and that the Lord would surround your son with godly, trustworthy people who will speak truth and show Christ's love to him.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank You that You see this dear son and love him even more than his parent does. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around him as You did for Job, and to deliver him from every form of abuse and harm. Lord, expose every hidden deed of darkness and bring it into Your light, and let no scheme of the enemy prosper against him. We ask You to command Your angels to encamp around him and to keep him in all his ways. Fill his heart with Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7, and guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Strengthen him with Your might, for You have said in Isaiah 41:10 Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let him feel Your presence, know that he is deeply loved and never alone, and grow in courage and faith. We trust him into Your faithful hands and pray that You would give his parent wisdom, discernment, and peace as they continue to cover him in prayer. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to stand firm in prayer and in the Word, and to also take practical steps to ensure his safety if abuse is present or suspected, seeking wise and godly counsel and help from trusted pastors, counselors, and the proper authorities where needed, for faith without action is incomplete and the Lord often provides protection through the people He places around us. Keep speaking life and scripture over him, reminding him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14 and that nothing can separate him from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus as Romans 8:38-39 declares. We are standing with you and trusting God for His peace, strength, and complete deliverance for your son.
