Silas
Beloved of All
I join you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and I thank you for bringing this burden to prayer so faithfully.
God understands the depth of a parent's love for a son. Scripture shows us that the Father's love for His Son is the greatest picture of love we have, and it was out of that love that He gave His only begotten Son for us. Because He is that kind of Father, He hears and He cares when you cry out for your child. When those who were in need cried out to Jesus for mercy, even when others told them to be quiet, they cried all the more and Jesus stood still and answered them. He still hears persistent, heartfelt prayer today.
I pray with you that the Lord will place His hedge of protection around your son and deliver him from every form of harm, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. The Bible teaches that we are to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather to expose them, and that what is done in darkness will be brought to light. So I pray that God will bring into the light any hidden deeds of darkness affecting your son and that He will stop every abusive work against him.
I also pray that God will command His angels to encamp around him and keep him in all his ways, and that He will fill his heart with strength and with peace. Jesus is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace, and the increase of His government and peace will have no end. He said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. When we have peace with God through Jesus Christ, we can then know the peace of God guarding our hearts and minds. I pray your son will know that peace deeply, a peace that steadies him and gives him strength even in difficult places.
Because you are in Christ, you have been adopted as a child of God, and He has put the Spirit of His Son in your heart so you can cry, Abba, Father. Come to Him boldly as a beloved child. Continue to walk in truth and to share that truth with your son, trusting that the Lord both corrects and keeps those He loves as a father delights in his son.
May the Lord surround your son with His presence, expose what needs to be exposed, silence what needs to be silenced, and fill him with His grace and peace in Jesus name, Amen.
