Son, protection

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son, ###, to our Heavenly Father with heavy hearts, standing in the gap for his protection and deliverance. Your prayer touches the very heart of God, who is our Refuge and Strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We join with you in declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, he shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Him (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would indeed place a hedge of protection around ###, just as You did for Job (Job 1:10). Let no harm come near his dwelling, and command Your angels concerning him to guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We rebuke every spirit of abuse, physical, emotional, or spiritual, in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that ### will walk in the abundant life Christ has promised, free from the snares of the enemy.

Lord, we pray that You would expose every deed of darkness that seeks to harm him. For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light (Luke 8:17). Let Your light shine into every dark corner, and let those who practice wickedness be brought to justice. Father, we ask that You would surround ### with Your holy angels, who excel in strength and do Your commandments, hearkening to the voice of Your word (Psalm 103:20). Let them encamp around him and deliver him from all evil.

We pray that You would fill ### with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him with Your might by Your Spirit in his inner man (Ephesians 3:16), so that he may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Remind him daily that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37).

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for you as his parent. Give you the strength and courage to stand firm in faith, knowing that You who began a good work in ### will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). Help you to speak life and truth into his heart, and to model the love of Christ in all you do.

We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may try to take hold of ### or your family. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that ### will walk in the power of the Holy Spirit, clothed in the full armor of God, so that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11).

Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to protect and deliver ###. We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that ### is called according to Your purpose, and we stand on Your promises for his life.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We hear the fierce love in your prayer, and we are standing with you as you entrust your son to the Lord. It can be overwhelming to feel that someone you love is being hurt in ways you cannot see or fully control. Please know that your faith in coming to God like this is precious; He sees every tear and hears every word.

Because you mentioned all forms of abuse, we want to gently encourage one practical step: if your son is currently in a situation where any of this is ongoing, letting the right people know, whether school officials, law enforcement, or a child protection agency if he is a minor, is an act of love, not a lack of trust. God often shines light through the courage of those who speak up. You are not alone in the fight for his safety.

We also remember that spiritual abuse, which twists faith to control or harm, leaves deep wounds. Whether that is part of what you are facing or not, know that Jesus is gentle and will not break a bruised reed. You can trust Him to tend your son’s heart.

As you continue to pray, may you feel the steady comfort of the Holy Spirit. We join you now:

Father, in Jesus’ name, we place this beloved son under Your watchful care. Build a wall of protection around him so that no evil may reach him. Bring hidden things into the open, and stop every form of mistreatment. Fill him with a peace that goes beyond all circumstances, and strengthen him with courage. Give his mother clear wisdom and the right people to help. Hold this family close, we ask, trusting in Your love. Amen.

The prayer that has risen from your heart ascends to the throne of the Almighty, and it is not unheard. You have entreated a hedge of protection around your son, and cried for deliverance from every form of abuse. This is a cry that moves the heart of Him who has delivered us from the power of darkness. What is abuse but the working of that darkness, whether it strikes the body, wounds the soul, or seeks to cast a spiritual gloom? Yet Christ our Captain has met the prince of darkness in open combat and triumphed, and in Him your child may find shelter beneath the shadow of the Almighty.

When we see such oppression, our own weakness presses heavily. But this is the very spot where faith learns to cry for more strength. Imitate the apostles, who when a duty loomed beyond all nature, drew back but a moment to breathe a prayer, and then took the leap in the name of Him who bears us over. Ask daily for increased faith, not only for yourself but on his behalf. The Lord is the glory of our strength; every true might of body, mind, and spirit flows from Him. He will uphold your son, and even in this trial he shall not be found feeble among the tribes of the ransomed.

You have asked that deeds of darkness be exposed and brought to light. This is the very work of Him who commanded the light to shine out of darkness. In due season, every hidden thing will be shown for what it is, for there is nothing concealed that shall not be revealed. Wait upon the Lord’s timing; the angels that encamp around them that fear Him are even now on watch, and the wicked shall not always escape unobserved.

For peace, true, lasting peace, look alone to the blood of Jesus. In this dark world of sin, the heart whispers, “Peace, perfect peace,” not because trouble has fled, but because sin’s burden is lifted and the soul is reconciled to God. Even when thronging duties or daily cares press in like a crowd of archers, the soul may stand still and find rest in doing the will of Jesus. Pray that this peace, which passes understanding, may garrison your son’s heart. Beware of the false peace that stupefies, the devil’s opium. The peace of God makes a man strong for battle, not sleepy in delusion.

Our deliverance is of free grace alone. It is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy. He brought Israel out of Egypt with a high hand, and not one was left behind in weakness. So shall He bring your son out of darkness into marvellous light. Only believe, and go on pleading the promises. The Lord will perfect that which concerneth you; your cry has entered the ear of the Lord of Sabaoth, and He will answer in the day of His power.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How right it is that you bring this hidden evil into the light of prayer, for deeds of darkness thrive only in secret. Do not doubt that the God who delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His beloved Son hears you. He did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, will He not then shield your child? Yet, I urge you not to measure His protection by the absence of trial. Consider that blessed Joseph: his brothers sold him, a wanton woman slandered him, and yet each seeming disaster became the very chariot of his safety. The prison was gentler than the house where that wild beast lurked, for in the prison God was with him, while in the house he daily feared a wound to his soul. The very things that seem to harm your son may be the means by which God drives him into His own strong arms.

So pray boldly that every form of abuse be brought into the open, for when sin is exposed, its power is broken. But do not fall into the insensibility of those in Noah’s day, who ate and drank and noticed nothing until the flood swept them away. God often delivers not by removing the storm but by anchoring the soul in Christ, who gave His life a ransom for us when we were enemies. He can fill your son with a peace that surpasses understanding and a strength that is made perfect in weakness. If the deliverance tarries or comes in a shape like dishonor, remember that the Father is translating him, just as He did Joseph, to a place of greater honor. The Son of God abased Himself to exalt us; trust that He is working even now for your son’s true good. Continue in prayer, and let no darkness persuade you that the light has been extinguished.

Your cry for your son’s protection has been heard before the throne of the One who delights to show mercy. When you ask the Father to set a hedge about your child, you are appealing to the very heart of His Son, who is far above all rule and authority, including every dark power that may seek to do harm. God has not spoken vaguely through messengers alone; He has fully revealed His love and His power through His Son, whom He declared to be His own, and whom all the angels are commanded to worship. That same Son now sits in authority, and everything touching your son’s life passes through His hands first.

The angels you invoked are real, created ministering spirits, sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation. They are not independent agents; they answer to the word of the Lord. Scripture tells us, “He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.” This is not a distant hope but a certain promise for those who make the Most High their dwelling place. You have placed your son under that covering, and you can entrust him to a God who is not slack concerning His word. The same angels who met Jacob on his journey and encamp around those who fear the Lord are able to guard your son in ways you could never engineer.

Do not be surprised that the battle feels intense. The enemy loves to cloak his works in darkness, but light exposes every hidden thing. As you pray for deeds of darkness to be brought to light, remember that Jesus is the light of the world, and no shadow can withstand Him. The Father judges no one directly but has committed all judgment to the Son, so that all should honor the Son even as they honor the Father. Your plea in Jesus’ name reaches the very One who holds the keys of death and Hades. Nothing escapes His sight, and He will bring justice to bear in His perfect time.

Right now, ask the Lord to fill your son with that inward peace which passes understanding, a deep quiet of the soul that rests in the Father’s care. That peace is not the absence of trouble, but the certainty that he is held by unshakable hands. Pray also for the strength that comes from abiding in the Son, for apart from Him we can do nothing. As your son learns to cry out, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David,” he will discover that Jesus always stands still, turns, and responds with compassion and delivering power.

Even the chastening that sometimes comes to a child of God is not evidence of cruelty but of sonship, for the Father disciplines those He loves. Yet here you are praying against the destructive works of the evil one, not against the Father’s corrective hand. That is right and good. Our God is a refuge and fortress; you can say of Him, “He is my God, in Him I will trust.” He will deliver your son from the snare of the fowler and from perilous attacks, seen and unseen. The angels are not released haphazardly; they move on assignment from the Lord, bearing up the beloved ones lest they dash a foot against a stone.

So continue with confidence. You are not merely asking for a general blessing; you are aligning your request with the revealed will of the Son who gave Himself for us. Because He is the Son given for our redemption, the Prince of Peace whose government has no end, His authority extends over every situation your son faces. Let your heart rest here: the Father loves your son with an everlasting love, the Son intercedes for him, and innumerable angels stand ready to serve at a word from the throne. Speak the truth over your son daily, let him hear the words of life, and watch for the deliverance that comes from the secret place of the Most High.
