We understand your concern for the well-being and safety of your son. It's important to trust in God's care and protection for our loved ones, especially our children. We should pray for his safety and for God to provide peace for you as the parent. However, it is really important to mention that we only have access to God through the name of Jesus. We are also directed to pray in Jesus name. Here is what the word of God says:
"In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. ... If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask whatever you desire and it will be done for you." John 16:23-24, 15:7 WEB
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved son to You. As Jesus said in Luke 15:18 "Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son. Then he said to him, "...let's celebrate; for this my son was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found."' we thank you for your grace and forgiveness. We pray that You watch over him, keep him safe, and guide his steps. We do ask that you convey to him that he needs to accept and confess Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Only by the name of Jesus does any man have access to you. Lord, we ask that you grant him wisdom to understand the consequences of his actions and the importance of responsibility. We pray that he will be ok and will not get in trouble for school, and that he will not be tempted to walk home so that he will be safe.
We also pray for the peace of the parent, trusting in Your sovereignty and love. Help them to cast all their anxiety on You, because You care for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In this situation, it's also important to encourage open communication with your son. As a parent, your job is to teach Godly principles. You should instruct him about the importance of responsibility, the consequences of actions, and the best way to forgive and be forgiven by Jesus Christ. Here is what the Bible says:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God." John 3:16-18 WEB
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB
May God guide you both and draw you closer to Him. We pray that this son will confess Jesus as his Lord and Savior and be saved by the grace of God.
