Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your son and allowing us to pray with you. We join you in bringing him before the Father in the name of Jesus.
We are reminded of how Jesus once spoke a word while He was in Cana and healed a nobleman's son who was many miles away. Distance was no barrier to His power, and it still is not. What Jesus did was the work of the Father, done in complete harmony with Him, and that same power and compassion are present today.
Scripture teaches us that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and that by believing in Him we have life in His name. Peter confessed this truth, and it remains the foundation of our faith and our hope for healing. Because He is the Son of God, He has authority over the physical realm, over sickness and infirmity, and over the spiritual realm as well. His earthly ministry was marked by preaching and teaching and by healing all kinds of sickness and disease, and we can still trust Him for both spiritual and physical healing now.
We pray with you that the Lord would surround your son with His healing presence. We ask that He would remove every harmful effect of the medication from his body, strengthen his lungs, calm his anxiety, and ease his breathing. We also pray that God would guide the medical team with clear wisdom and discernment, giving them understanding in every decision they make for his care.
We do not always understand why some are healed instantly and others experience a more gradual recovery, but we believe that all true healing is from God. He has built healing processes into the bodies He created, and He often works through those natural processes and through the skill and knowledge He gives to doctors and nurses. Whether quickly or gradually, every healing is divine.
We also remember how deeply a father loves his son, and how Scripture points us to the even greater love of our heavenly Father who gave His only Son for us. That love assures us that He hears the prayers of a parent and cares for your son far more than we can.
May the Lord give you peace as you trust your son to His care, and may He bring strength to his body and quietness to his heart. We continue to lift him up, asking for complete restoration according to the Father's will, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
