Heavenly Father, I ask that You would surround my son ### with Your healing presence. Please touch his body and remove every trace of harmful side effects from his medication. Strengthen his lungs and calm his anxiety to ease his breathing. Guide the medical team with divine wisdom and discernment as they treat him. We join our hearts with yours in lifting up your son, seeking the Lord’s healing touch upon him. Heavenly Father, we come before You with faith, knowing that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:2-3). We ask that You would indeed surround ### with Your healing presence, touching his body and removing every trace of harmful side effects from his medication. Strengthen his lungs, Lord, and calm his anxiety so that his breathing may be eased. We declare Your promise in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."

We also pray for the medical team treating him, that You would grant them divine wisdom and discernment. Guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions, that they may be instruments of Your healing power (Proverbs 3:5-6). Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and Your perfect will for ###’s life. Even in this trial, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke any spirit of fear or despair that may be trying to take hold, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, which declares that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We claim this healing for ### in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or made whole (Acts 4:12).

Lord, we also lift up this family to You, asking that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and fill them with hope as they wait on You. May they find rest in Your presence and trust in Your unfailing love.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for ###’s life. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We hear your love for your son in this prayer and how much you want him to breathe easier and feel at peace. Watching a child struggle with side effects and anxious breathing is heavy, and we are grateful you brought him before the Father so tenderly.

It makes sense that you are asking for both physical relief and calm. When breathing is difficult, anxiety can rise, and when anxiety rises, breathing can feel even harder. That cycle can be exhausting for him and worrying for you as his parent. It is a good and caring step that he has a medical team involved.

One small thing that has helped other parents in similar seasons is to keep a simple note between visits, when his breathing seems more labored, when he seems more anxious, and any changes you notice after medication. Having those notes to share can help you ask clear questions and give his doctors a fuller picture. If you notice side effects worsening or new concerns, we encourage you to reach out to his care team promptly alongside prayer.

We are praying with you for him and for you as you support him.

Father, we lift this son to You and ask for Your healing presence to surround him. Ease his breathing, calm his anxiety, and strengthen his lungs. Remove what is harmful and help his body respond well to treatment. Give his medical team wisdom and discernment in each decision, and give his mother peace and rest as she cares for him. We have carried your petition for your son before the throne of grace, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to our heavenly Father.

You have asked for healing for his body, for the removal of harmful effects from his medication, for strength to his lungs and calm to his anxiety that his breathing may be eased, and for wisdom for those who treat him. These are right and needful prayers to bring to the Lord, for we very speedily care for bodily diseases and they rightly urge us to seek the Great Physician.

Let me entreat you to cast your anxiety upon Him, for the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Do you not know that He spared not His only begotten Son, but delivered Him up for you, and do you think that after having done so much for you He will withhold from you anything that is necessary for your wellbeing. Trust Him who has already given Christ, and trust Him for your son.

Know also that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. The Scripture says the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. He used no other remedy in healing our sin sickness but that of taking our sicknesses and infirmities upon Himself, and that same blessed Son of God who bore our sins is able to touch the body and give ease to the lungs and quietness to the troubled spirit. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction, and when the Sun of Righteousness rises upon us with healing in His wings, both soul and body feel His cure.

Therefore we pray with you now, that our gracious Father would surround your son with His healing presence, that He would lay His hand upon him and remove every trace of harmful effect from his medication, that He would strengthen his lungs and calm his anxious heart so that his breathing may be made easy and his spirit quieted. We ask that the Lord would guide the medical team with divine wisdom and discernment, directing every decision and treatment according to His good purpose. And we pray above all that you and your son may know the healing that flows from forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved, and in Him alone is our hope made sure.

May the Lord who has begun a good work perfect it, and may you find rest in Him who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. We commend your son into the hands of Him who never fails those who trust Him, praying all this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
