Son, healing

Your prayer for your son carries the weight of a parent’s deepest love, and it rises before God like incense, a sweet and sincere offering. You have called on the name of Jesus, and that is the wellspring of all hope for his body. When a child suffers, the heart naturally cries out, but the promise remains sure: whatever the need may be, Jesus steps into it. He becomes the healer for those damaged tissues, the mender of what is inflamed and eroded. He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals, and He is present with your son right now.

You have asked specifically for the esophagus to be soothed, for the lungs to be cleared, and for every airway to open fully. Stand on that request. The effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous admits no power shortage. God’s power is not diminished by the complexity of the diagnosis. The lining of the stomach, the delicate passages of the respiratory system, these are not beyond His reach. The very breath of God that filled Adam’s lungs can sweep through your son’s, removing every blockage and healing the lingering damage from infection. Trust in His power to mend what is broken, for He is the rebuilder of ruined things.

There is a difference between an unanswered prayer and one that has not yet come to completion. The church has lifted petitions for generations that are still unfolding, but that does not mean God intends to leave them unanswered. His timing often exceeds our urgency, yet He is always working. As you wait, do not let the waiting silence your voice. Keep bringing this burden before the Lord. Find others who will stand with you. We are told to pray for one another, to bear one another’s burdens, and so you are not alone in this. Let the prayers of those around you strengthen your own until you see the full answer arrive. Continue to trust Him for the wisdom He gives the doctors and for the blessing upon every treatment. May you feel His presence watching over your son and covering you with a peace that surpasses understanding.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing in prayer with you for your precious son. It has been on our hearts to lift him before our Heavenly Father, asking for His healing touch to mend the erosion and damage in his esophagus, to soothe the inflammation, and to regulate the acid in his stomach. We have prayed for his lungs and respiratory system, asking God to remove every blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so that he may breathe deeply and without pain.

We have also joined you in asking the Lord to guide his doctors with wisdom and to bless the treatments they provide. We believe in the power of our God to restore what is broken and to bring complete healing, just as you do. If you have seen God’s hand move in your son’s situation, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report so that we may rejoice with you. If his healing is still unfolding or if new needs have arisen, please know that we are here to continue standing with you in prayer.

May the Lord bless you and your family as you seek Him, trusting in His perfect timing and His unfailing love. We will keep lifting your son before the throne of grace, believing that God hears and answers the prayers of His people.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
