Son, healing

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing touch upon my son. Lord, his esophagus is eroded and damaged and ask that You soothe the inflammation, heal the lining, and regulate acid in his stomach. I also pray for his lungs and respiratory system. I ask that You remove all blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so he can breathe deeply and without pain. Lord, I ask that You guide his doctors and bless his treatment. I trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, in Jesus name Amen

We join you in lifting your precious son before the throne of grace, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible assures us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We stand on this promise, believing that God is able to restore your son’s ### and ### completely. The ### and ### you described are no match for the Great Physician, who knit your son together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13) and knows every part of him intimately.

We pray with boldness, asking the Lord to soothe the ### in his ### and heal the ###. May He regulate the ### in his ###, bringing balance and relief where there has been ###. For his ### and ###, we ask that God remove every ###, heal any ### from ###, and open his ### fully. Let him breathe deeply and without ###, as the psalmist declares, "By his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We also pray for wisdom and guidance for his doctors, that they would be instruments of God’s healing touch, making decisions that align with His perfect will.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We declare that your son is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we speak life and restoration over every cell in his body. Strengthen his ###, Lord, and let your healing virtue flow through him like a river. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We also encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and fasting, if possible, as we see in Mark 9:29 that some things only come out by prayer and fasting. Surround your son with believers who will stand in agreement with you, for where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). May your faith be strengthened as you see God move mightily on his behalf.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your mercy and compassion. We thank You that Your love for this young man is deeper than any ocean and higher than any mountain. We ask that You would not only heal his body but also draw him closer to You, that he may know You as his Savior, Healer, and Lord. May this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness and power, bringing glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

We are holding your son before the Lord with you, and we feel the weight of a mother’s heart in every word you wrote. It’s clear you love him deeply, and that kind of steady, specific love matters more than you know right now.

Watching someone you raised struggle to breathe or swallow can eat away at your own peace, and you may find yourself drained in ways you haven’t named. Please don’t walk this alone. Let someone from your church or a trusted friend simply sit with you in this, even just to listen. A shared burden is lighter, and those people can hold up your arms when you’re weary, praying with you, sitting with you at appointments, or bringing a meal without being asked. You don’t have to be strong every moment.

Keep advocating for your son with his doctors. Ask the questions that won’t leave you alone, and write them down ahead of time so worry doesn’t steal them in the exam room. God uses their skill, and your steady presence is part of his care.

For now, we simply ask together:

Jesus, we lift this mother’s son to You. Soothe the inflammation in his esophagus, restore its lining, and calm the acid that causes so much pain. Open his airways fully, heal any damaged tissue, and let him breathe deep again without fear. Guide his medical team, give them clarity and wisdom, and bless every part of his treatment. Hold this mother close, give her strength when the nights feel long, and let her find moments of real rest in You. We trust You with every cell of his body, and we wait with hope in Your name. Amen.

The plea for your son’s healing has reached the throne, and it is heard by the same Lord who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, not only in the grand things of His atonement but in the very leaves, the smallest outworkings of His grace, which are for the healing of the nations. That eroded flesh, those inflamed passages, those labored breaths lie open before the eyes of Him who fashioned the body and knows every fiber of its frame. The Sun of Righteousness rises still, with healing in His wings, and He can speak to the raging acid as He once spoke to the fever, and it will obey.

Consider this: when the Lord Jesus walked among us, He used no other remedy for our sin-sickness than taking our infirmities upon Himself. The stripes laid on His sacred back purchased not only peace for a guilty soul but restoration for a broken body. In the case of the man sick of the palsy, our Lord first spoke a deeper word, "Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you", and then showed His full authority by commanding the body to rise and walk. Healing and pardon walk hand in hand; the same hand that cleanses the soul can soothe the inflammation and repair the damaged lining. Lay your son before the Lord in spirit, as the four lowered their friend through the roof, believing that Christ sees the need before a word is spoken.

The healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is taught and trusted. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God, so continue to plead the promises, to rest in His finished work, and to ask the Holy Spirit to apply the healing leaves to that young frame. The physician’s skill is a gift, and you are right to pray for his guidance, but the ultimate cure lies with the One who said, "I am the Lord who heals you." Do not let the visible symptoms shake the confidence that He is at work, for His power is often most active when quietly washing our wounds in the night watches. The one great cure-all is the bitter medicine Christ Himself swallowed at Golgotha, and for His sake, the Lord forgets our sins and remembers mercy toward our suffering clay. Trust Him for the deeper healing too, for a soul made whole in Christ is ready to rise up and serve, just as Peter’s mother-in-law, once fevered, immediately ministered. Wait upon the Lord with expectancy; the healing must indeed come before the service, and His grace will be sufficient.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for your son rises like incense before the throne of God, and rightly you flee to the great physician of souls and bodies. Marvel at this: He who is Son of the unoriginate God suffered to be called Son of David, that He might make you a child of the Father. He took on our frame to heal our every wound. So trust not in words alone, but with the faith that Peter had when he confessed, “Thou art the Son of God,” understanding Him as very God, not as a mere man. This is the faith that saves and heals.

You ask for his esophagus, his lungs, his airways. The Lord who opens the eyes of the blind and makes the lame walk asks you directly: “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” He waits for your heart’s reply, not because He needs our affirmation, but to teach you to look higher, to lay hold of His power. Night and day, like the apostle, pray exceedingly, not from anxiety but with joy, knowing that as a husbandman longs to see the fruitful field, so the Lord desires to perfect what is lacking in your son’s faith and your own. He delays judgment and sickness not to harm but to offer time for cleansing, that we might wash away our transgressions and find the true healing of the soul.

Consider this: when He healed the body, He often first addressed the hidden infirmities. The guests within the feast were blind, maimed, lame just like those outside. So too our souls are burdened with dropsy and inflammation from pride, surfeiting, and worldly cares. While you pray for his physical frame, look also to the soul’s health. Do not felicitate the powerful or the rich who seem untouched by pain, for their condition is a more grievous disease if they refuse the physician’s counsel. Be rather like the thankful, those who seek nothing beyond sufficiency, whose souls are in brightness.

If the healing comes quickly, give thanks and do not grow slack. If it tarries, do not despair. Many hear the word ten times and seem insensible, yet afterwards bear abundant fruit. The blows that do not fell the tree at once are preparing it for the final saving blow that brings it to its knees in conversion. So your persistent prayer and the remedies of the doctors, guided by God, work together. The Lord sees the root; trust that even now He is applying the medicine that restores.

Above all, hold fast to His commandments, for that is the proof of love. And know that whatever He does, He does with the Father and for your good. I do not cease to pray that you and your son may breathe freely not only with the body but with the soul, opening every passage to the Spirit, until you stand before Him perfected and whole.
