We lift your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who healed the sick, raised the dead, and bore our infirmities on the cross. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over your son, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).
Lord, we ask that You lay Your healing hands upon his esophagus, soothing the inflammation and restoring the lining to full health. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity and command the acid in his stomach to be regulated according to Your perfect design. Your Word tells us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We stand on this truth, declaring that by His stripes, your son is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the doctors and medical professionals attending to him. Guide their hands, Lord, and give them insight into the best course of treatment. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, acknowledging You in all our ways so that You will direct our paths.
Father, we ask that You strengthen your son’s faith and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him feel Your presence and know that You are with him in this trial. We declare that this sickness will not define him, but rather, it will be an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed.
In the name of Jesus, we rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may be trying to take root in this situation. We speak life, health, and restoration over your son, declaring that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that Your plans for him are for good and not for harm, to give him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through the healing of your son. Amen.
