Something I need

I need to stop letting my past self decide who I am today. That version of myself did the best they could with what they had - and they got me here. But I'm not that person anymore. I've survived things that once felt impossible. Stop carrying shame for the vision of myself who was just trying to survive. I don't live in the past anymore.

We hear your heart’s cry for freedom from the weight of your past, and we stand with you in agreement before the Lord. The Word of God declares, *"If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."* (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). You are not defined by who you were—you are defined by who Christ says you are. The enemy would love to keep you bound to shame, regret, and old identities, but Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). That includes you.

We rebuke the spirit of condemnation that whispers lies about your worth and identity. There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). The past—whether your own mistakes or the pain others inflicted—does not have the final say. You are not just surviving; you are being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). The person you were did their best with what they knew, but now you know better because you know Christ. His grace covers every misstep, and His strength empowers you to walk in newness of life.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who breaks every chain. We lift up our dear brother/sister to You, asking that You would shatter the shackles of their past. Lord, Your Word says that You cast our sins into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19) and remember them no more (Hebrews 8:12). We ask that You would help them to do the same. Replace the shame with Your peace, the regret with Your purpose, and the old identity with the truth of who they are in Christ.

Father, we declare over them that they are forgiven, redeemed, and made new. We break the power of every lie that says they are still bound to their past. Your Word says that those who look to You are radiant, and their faces are never covered with shame (Psalm 34:5). Let that be their reality. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who testifies with their spirit that they are Your child (Romans 8:16). Give them the courage to walk forward in the freedom You have purchased for them.

We also ask that You would heal any wounds that still linger from the past. Where there has been pain, bring Your comfort. Where there has been failure, bring Your restoration. Where there has been sin, bring Your cleansing. Lord, we know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even the hardest parts of their story are being woven into something beautiful by Your hands.

Help them to see themselves through Your eyes—as a beloved child, a co-heir with Christ, and a vessel for Your glory. May they walk in the confidence of Your love, knowing that You are making all things new. We thank You for the work You are doing in their life, and we trust You to complete it (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Now, dear one, we encourage you to stand firm in this truth: You are not who you were. You are who God says you are. The enemy will try to drag you back into old patterns of thinking, but you have the power of the Holy Spirit within you to resist those lies. When shame or regret creeps in, combat it with Scripture. Speak aloud: *"I am a new creation in Christ. The old has gone; the new has come!"* (2 Corinthians 5:17). Surround yourself with believers who will remind you of your identity in Christ and hold you accountable to walk in it.

If there are specific sins or mistakes from your past that you have not fully released to God, we encourage you to do so now. Confess them to Him, receive His forgiveness, and then leave them at the cross. Jesus’ blood covers all, and His sacrifice is sufficient. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. There is no freedom apart from Him. The Bible says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Salvation is the first step to walking in the newness of life that you long for.

You are not alone in this journey. God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing forward, knowing that your past does not have to dictate your future. You are a child of the King, and He has great plans for you—plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Walk in that truth today.

We hear your heart's cry, dear one, and we're right here with you. It's time to lay down the heavy burden of the past. You've come so far, survived so much, and it's amazing to see the strength and resilience in you. But it's time to let go of the shame and regret that's been holding you back.

Remember, you're not defined by your past. You're a new creation in Christ, and that's what truly matters. The old has passed away, and all things have become new. It's time to embrace this new identity and walk in the freedom and purpose God has for you.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear ###. Lord, we ask that You would help them let go of the past. Replace the shame with Your peace, the regret with Your purpose, and the old identity with the truth of who they are in Christ.

Father, we declare over them that they are forgiven, redeemed, and made new. We break the power of every lie that says they are still bound to their past. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who testifies with their spirit that they are Your child.

Lord, we also ask that You would heal any wounds that still linger from the past. Where there has been pain, bring Your comfort. Where there has been failure, bring Your restoration. Where there has been sin, bring Your cleansing. Help them to see themselves through Your eyes - as a beloved child, a co-heir with Christ, and a vessel for Your glory.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Now, dear one, stand firm in this truth: You are not who you were. You are who God says you are. Surround yourself with believers who will remind you of your identity in Christ and hold you accountable to walk in it. If there are specific sins or mistakes from your past that you haven't fully released to God, do so now. Confess them to Him, receive His forgiveness, and then leave them at the cross.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus.

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you seek God’s healing and freedom from the weight of your past. It has been our honor to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to break every chain of shame and self-condemnation that has tried to define who you are today. We’ve prayed that the Holy Spirit would fill you with His truth—that you are a new creation in Christ, redeemed, restored, and deeply loved.

If the Lord has begun to answer this prayer in your life—if you’ve felt even a small shift in your heart, a lifting of that old burden, or a fresh revelation of your identity in Him—we would love to hear your praise report. Your testimony could encourage others who are walking a similar path.

If, however, the struggle still feels heavy and the past still tries to speak louder than God’s promises, we invite you to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, believing that God is at work even when we can’t yet see it. He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

May the Father remind you daily of who you are in Christ—His beloved child, forgiven, free, and called for a purpose. May Jesus, who bore your shame on the cross, fill you with His peace and lead you into the fullness of life He has for you. And may the Holy Spirit strengthen you with courage to walk forward, leaving the past where it belongs—under the blood of Jesus.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
