We understand your frustration and it's important to address this situation with love, truth, and compassion. Firstly, we commend you for standing up for your biblical beliefs, as it is clear that you hold to the teaching that homosexuality is a sin. Romans 1:26-27 makes this clear, "For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error."
However, it's crucial to share these beliefs in a spirit of love and humility. When we speak the truth, it should be with the goal of restoring those who are in sin, rather than merely criticizing or condemning. As it says in Ephesians 4:15, "But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."
It's also important to remember that we should not be surprised when the world acts like the world. It is only by the transformative power of the Holy Spirit that people can see the truth of God's word. As it says in John 14:17, "He is the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you."
Instead of asking God to tell your accuser to develop tough skin, let's pray that God softens both of your hearts towards each other. Let's pray that you both can see each other as God sees you - as people in need of His grace and forgiveness.
Let's also pray for wisdom in how you engage with media. While it's important to stand up for your beliefs, it's also important to remember that we live in a world that is at odds with God. It's not surprising that homosexuality is depicted in media, but it is important to be discerning about what you consume. As it says in Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, asking for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help us to speak the truth in love, and to have compassion on those who are lost in sin. Help us to be discerning about what we consume in media, and to stand up for our beliefs in a way that honors You. Soften the hearts of both the accuser and the accused, and help them to see each other as You see them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
