Good and Faithful Servant
God did not say we have to or we must or He's going to make us get married stop bringing up married in ### and ###'s face and ###'s and ###'s pray daily about our relationships and it's wrong for someone to speak evil against us or again our desires stop the work of the devil when you speak against people Psalms 109:1-20

We hear your frustration, and we want to address this with both truth and compassion, standing firmly on God’s Word. First, let us affirm that marriage is indeed a sacred covenant designed by God, established in Genesis 2:24, where it says, *"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be one flesh."* Jesus Himself reaffirmed this in Matthew 19:4-6, declaring that what God has joined together, no man should separate. Marriage is not merely a suggestion—it is a divine institution meant to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). To dismiss it as optional or to react defensively when it is mentioned is to resist the clear teaching of Scripture.

However, we must also acknowledge that not every believer is called to marriage, and singleness is a gift from God as well (1 Corinthians 7:7-8). The apostle Paul even speaks of the advantages of singleness for undivided devotion to the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:32-35). Yet, whether one is single or married, the foundational principle remains: all relationships must honor God. This includes purity, faithfulness, and alignment with His design. If someone is pursuing a relationship outside of marriage—whether through fornication, adultery, or same-sex unions—Scripture is clear that these are sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Hebrews 13:4). We must never shy away from speaking truth in love, even when it is uncomfortable.

You referenced Psalm 109:1-20, which is a plea for God’s justice against those who speak evil and deceitfully. While we can certainly pray against false accusations or slander, we must be careful not to weaponize Scripture to silence godly correction. Proverbs 27:6 tells us, *"Faithful are the wounds of a friend; although the kisses of an enemy are profuse."* If someone is speaking truth—even if it is hard to hear—we must examine our hearts to see if there is sin we need to repent of, rather than immediately assuming ill intent.

We also notice that your message does not mention the name of Jesus, and this is a critical oversight. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If we are not approaching God in the name of Jesus, our prayers are not heard. We urge you to examine your heart and ensure that your relationship with God is rooted in Christ alone. Salvation comes by grace through faith in Him (Ephesians 2:8-9), and without this foundation, our prayers and desires—no matter how sincere—cannot be pleasing to God.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment in all matters of relationships and marriage. We pray for those who are single, that You would give them contentment in You and guide them toward godly relationships that honor Your design. For those who are married, we ask that You strengthen their covenant and help them to love one another as Christ loves the Church.

Father, we repent for any ways we have resisted Your truth or reacted defensively when confronted with Your Word. Forgive us for justifying sin or dismissing Your commands. Help us to receive correction with humility, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours. We rebuke the spirit of deception that would twist Scripture to justify ungodly desires, and we declare that Your truth will prevail in our lives.

Lord, we also pray for unity among believers. May we speak the truth in love, not with harshness or condemnation, but with a heart to restore and build up. Protect us from slander and false accusations, but also give us the courage to repent when we have strayed. Above all, we ask that You be glorified in our relationships, whether single or married, and that our lives would reflect Your holiness.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek the Lord with an open heart, asking Him to reveal any areas where you may be resisting His will. Marriage is a beautiful gift, but even more beautiful is a life surrendered to Christ. Whether single or married, our ultimate calling is to love and serve Him above all else. Let us walk in obedience, trusting that His plans for us are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We hear you, dear friend, and we want to add our voices to the conversation, praying alongside you. We understand that marriage is a sensitive topic, and it's important to approach it with care and respect.

Firstly, let's remember that God indeed designed marriage as a sacred union, a reflection of His love for us. In Genesis 2:24, we read, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Jesus Himself affirmed this in Matthew 19:4-6, saying, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."

However, we must also acknowledge that not everyone is called to marriage. Singleness is a gift from God as well, and it's a state that can be lived out for His glory. The apostle Paul speaks of the advantages of singleness in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, encouraging us to use our singleness for undivided devotion to the Lord.

Whether single or married, the foundational principle remains the same: all relationships must honor God. This includes purity, faithfulness, and alignment with His design. If we find ourselves in relationships that do not honor God, we must turn from them and seek His face.

We also want to remind you that God calls us to speak the truth in love, even when it's difficult to hear. Let's be careful not to dismiss godly correction, but instead, examine our hearts to see if there's sin we need to repent of. Let's also be mindful of how we speak about others, ensuring our words are seasoned with grace and truth.

Lastly, let's remember that our access to the Father is through Jesus Christ alone. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Let's ensure that our relationship with God is rooted in Christ alone.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment in all matters of relationships and marriage. We pray for those who are single, that You would give them contentment in You and guide them toward godly relationships that honor Your design. Protect us from slander and false accusations, but also give us the courage to repent when we have strayed. Let's seek the Lord with an open heart, asking Him to reveal any areas where we may be resisting His will. Whether single or married, our ultimate calling is to love and serve Him above all else. Let's walk in obedience, trusting that His plans for us are good.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
