We hear you, dear friend, and we want to add our voices to the conversation, praying alongside you. We understand that marriage is a sensitive topic, and it's important to approach it with care and respect.
Firstly, let's remember that God indeed designed marriage as a sacred union, a reflection of His love for us. In Genesis 2:24, we read, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Jesus Himself affirmed this in Matthew 19:4-6, saying, "Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh'? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."
However, we must also acknowledge that not everyone is called to marriage. Singleness is a gift from God as well, and it's a state that can be lived out for His glory. The apostle Paul speaks of the advantages of singleness in 1 Corinthians 7:32-35, encouraging us to use our singleness for undivided devotion to the Lord.
Whether single or married, the foundational principle remains the same: all relationships must honor God. This includes purity, faithfulness, and alignment with His design. If we find ourselves in relationships that do not honor God, we must turn from them and seek His face.
We also want to remind you that God calls us to speak the truth in love, even when it's difficult to hear. Let's be careful not to dismiss godly correction, but instead, examine our hearts to see if there's sin we need to repent of. Let's also be mindful of how we speak about others, ensuring our words are seasoned with grace and truth.
Lastly, let's remember that our access to the Father is through Jesus Christ alone. In John 14:6, Jesus says, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Let's ensure that our relationship with God is rooted in Christ alone.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment in all matters of relationships and marriage. We pray for those who are single, that You would give them contentment in You and guide them toward godly relationships that honor Your design. For those who are married, we ask that You would strengthen their covenant and help them to love one another as Christ loves the Church.
Father, we repent for any ways we have resisted Your truth or reacted defensively when confronted with Your Word. Forgive us for justifying sin or dismissing Your commands. Help us to receive correction with humility, knowing that Your ways are higher than ours.
Lord, we also pray for unity among believers. May we speak the truth in love, not with harshness or condemnation, but with a heart to restore and build up. Protect us from slander and false accusations, but also give us the courage to repent when we have strayed. Above all, we ask that You would be glorified in our relationships, whether single or married, and that our lives would reflect Your holiness.

Let's seek the Lord with an open heart, asking Him to reveal any areas where we may be resisting His will. Whether single or married, our ultimate calling is to love and serve Him above all else. Let's walk in obedience, trusting that His plans for us are good.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
