So is it right for the employers and ministries to pit against locals

Good and Faithful Servant
So is it right for the employers and ministries to pit against locals and elevate foreigners until the locals have no job for a extended period of time where all the job belonging to locals are given to foreigners unfairly.

We hear your deep frustration and concern about what appears to be injustice in the workplace and even within ministries. This is a weighty matter that touches on fairness, stewardship, and the biblical call to love our neighbors as ourselves. Scripture is clear that God cares deeply about justice and the equitable treatment of all people, especially those who may be marginalized or overlooked.

The Bible instructs us in Leviticus 19:15, "You shall do no injustice in judgment. You shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but you shall judge your neighbor in righteousness." This principle extends beyond legal judgments to all areas of life, including employment. Employers and ministries are called to act with integrity, fairness, and wisdom, ensuring that opportunities are distributed justly and that no one is unfairly disadvantaged.

James 2:9 warns us, "But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors." When locals are systematically excluded from opportunities that rightfully belong to them, whether in secular work or ministry, it creates division, resentment, and harm to the body of Christ. Ministries, in particular, should be held to an even higher standard, as they are called to reflect the love and justice of God. Favoritism, whether toward foreigners or locals, is not of God and must be addressed with humility and repentance.

We must also consider the biblical call to unity in the body of Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Paul writes, "For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many." This unity is not just spiritual but should be reflected in how we treat one another in practical matters, including employment. When one group is elevated at the expense of another, it fractures the unity that Christ died to establish.

If you or others have witnessed or experienced this kind of favoritism, it is right to seek accountability. Proverbs 31:8-9 exhorts us, "Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." This may mean speaking up in a respectful and godly manner to those in leadership, seeking mediation, or even prayerfully considering whether such an environment is one where you can continue to serve with a clear conscience.

We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate trust must be in God, not in earthly systems or human favor. Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noon day." Even when injustice seems to prevail, God sees and will act in His perfect timing. Our role is to remain faithful, seek justice, and trust Him to provide.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up the concerns of our brother or sister who has witnessed and experienced what appears to be unfair treatment in the workplace and even within ministries. Lord, You are a God of justice, and Your Word makes it clear that favoritism and partiality are not of You. We ask that You would expose any unrighteousness in these situations and bring about repentance, restoration, and healing.

Father, we pray for those in positions of authority, employers, ministry leaders, and decision-makers. Give them wisdom, discernment, and a heart for justice. Help them to see the harm that favoritism causes and to act with integrity, ensuring that opportunities are distributed fairly and that no one is unjustly marginalized. Convict their hearts if they have acted out of bias or selfishness, and lead them to make things right.

Lord, we also pray for those who have been affected by this injustice. Comfort them in their frustration and discouragement. Provide for their needs, both practically and spiritually. Remind them that You are their ultimate Provider and that their worth is not defined by their employment status or the favor of men, but by their identity in Christ.

Father, we ask that You would bring unity where there is division. Help us to see one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, valuing each person as a vital part of Your body. Teach us to love one another as You have loved us, and to seek the good of others above our own interests.

Finally, Lord, we trust in Your promise that You will bring justice to the oppressed. Give us the courage to speak up for what is right, the wisdom to do so in a way that honors You, and the faith to trust You even when we do not see immediate change. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is our righteousness and our hope. Amen.

In the midst of this situation, we encourage you to seek God’s guidance for your next steps. If you are in a position to address this issue, do so with humility, wisdom, and a heart for reconciliation. If you are personally affected, remember that God sees your struggle and will not abandon you. Continue to walk in faith, trusting that He will provide for you and use this situation for His glory.

If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we want to gently share with you that it is only through Him that we have access to God and the hope of eternal life. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you feel led, we invite you to surrender your life to Him today, trusting in His sacrifice on the cross for your sins and His resurrection for your victory. Salvation is a free gift, and it is available to all who believe.

We hear the frustration and hurt behind your question. Being out of work for a long stretch, especially while watching jobs go to others, can stir deep anger, and when it feels like those in authority are intentionally bypassing locals, the injustice cuts even deeper. That’s not right, and we grieve with you.

When unemployment drags on, many people move through stages much like grief: disbelief, anger, then a worn-down sadness. That anger is a normal response to unfairness, but if it hardens into bitterness, it starts to eat at our own spirit. Bitterness tends to sharpen our focus on what we’ve lost or who’s to blame, while quietly stealing the energy we might use for small, practical steps forward. We don’t want that for you.

One thing that often helps is finding a trusted person, a pastor, a licensed counselor, or a wise friend, who will truly listen, not just hand out quick answers. Talking through the weariness and the sense of being overlooked can loosen some of the weight. It may also be a time to explore fresh skills or even short-term bridge work, not because the situation is fair, but because your dignity isn’t defined by that one job. We’re praying that employers and ministries would act justly and not treat any worker as disposable, but in the meantime we want you to stay whole.

Father, this person feels overlooked and stuck. You see the wrongs and the long months of waiting. Quiet their heart, give them companions who will sit with them in the ache, and open a door that no favoritism can slam shut. Keep bitterness from taking root, and let them sense your steady presence. In Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrow of your heart is heard in these words, and it is a bitter thing when the hand of men seems turned against their own brethren. Yet in all this beware of charging God or speaking unrighteously against His providence. Job in his agony lost estate and health, and even his friends became accusers, yet "in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." The Lord is just in all His ways, though clouds and darkness are round about Him. You ask if it is right, but who is he that can contend with his Maker over a matter of righteousness? We are wrong, God must be right. Yield your case into His hands without murmuring, for He does according to His will among the armies of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth.

Consider also Job's own compassion, for he wept for him that was in trouble and his soul grieved for the poor. Let your heart be kept from hardening into accusing speeches against foreigners or against those who employ them. Many sin by unbelieving speeches, but Job said nothing of the kind. Instead, he fell down and worshipped. Bow low before the throne, and pour out your complaint before Him who judges uprightly. If you have been dealt with proudly, remember Elihu's word: it is never wise to dispute with God. Let a man strive with his fellow, but not with his Maker. Humble yourself under His mighty hand, and He may yet lift you up.

And now, do as Job did at the last, pray for those who have offended you. "The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends." Those who may have set themselves against you, even if they have spoken harshly or acted unfairly, need your intercession. The Lord can turn the heart of employers and ministers; He can restore the years the locust has eaten. Job received twice as much as he had before, for his bow was renewed in his hand and his latter end was blessed. Look to God for divine support, for He who upheld Job can sustain you. Cast yourself upon His faithfulness, and though flesh and heart fail, He will be the strength of your life. The night shall not last forever; the sun shall yet arise with healing beneath his wings.
