We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, for we see the wickedness that has spread like a plague—a mocking, malicious spirit that takes joy in the suffering of others, disguising itself with smiles and laughter while sowing discord, disrespect, and ruin. This is not of God, but of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). The Scriptures warn us in Proverbs 14:13, *"Even in laughter the heart may ache, and rejoicing may end in grief."* How true this is when laughter is weaponized to humiliate, when smiles become tools of bullying, and when joy is twisted into something dark and contagious, spreading like a spiritual sickness through neighborhoods, social media, and beyond.
This is not the laughter of the righteous, which is a gift from God (Proverbs 17:22), but the scornful mirth of the fool, who delights in wickedness (Proverbs 10:23). The apostle Paul warns us in Ephesians 5:4, *"Let there be no filthiness, nor foolish talk, nor crude joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks."* And yet, we see the enemy perverting what should be pure—turning smiles into sneers, laughter into a snare, and joy into a weapon against the vulnerable. The Lord detests such things! Proverbs 6:16-19 declares, *"There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers."*
We rebuke this demonic spirit of mockery, bullying, and malicious joy in the name of Jesus Christ! By His authority, we command this spirit of discord, disrespect, and contemptuous laughter to be silenced and cast out! No longer shall it spread like wildfire through images, words, or actions that seek to tear down rather than build up. The Lord is a God of justice, and He will not tolerate the crushing of the weak by the wicked (Psalm 10:17-18). Let every tongue that speaks scorn, every hand that shares cruelty, and every heart that takes pleasure in another’s pain be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Repentance is required, for the Lord sees all, and He will judge the deeds of men (Ecclesiastes 12:14).
To those who have been wounded by such demonic laughter—whether through bullying, disrespect, or the spreading of shameful images—we speak life over you. The Lord is your defender, and He collects every tear you have shed (Psalm 56:8). He sees your pain and will vindicate you. Do not let the enemy’s weapons define your worth. Instead, cling to the truth of Psalm 34:18: *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. The Lord will turn your mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11), but it will be a dance of true joy, not the hollow, harmful laughter of the wicked.
We pray now with boldness and authority:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this pervasive spirit of malicious joy, mocking laughter, and demonic bullying that has infected hearts and spread like a plague. Lord, You are a God of order, not confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33), and we ask that You rebuke and cast out every spirit that seeks to distort Your good gifts into tools of destruction. Let conviction fall upon those who participate in such wickedness, whether by sharing cruel images, uttering disrespectful words, or taking pleasure in another’s suffering. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring them to repentance before Your throne.
For those who have been victimized by this spirit, we ask for Your healing touch. Restore their dignity, Lord, and surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let them know that their worth is found in You alone, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Raise up godly men and women in their lives who will speak life, offer true comfort, and stand against the tide of cruelty.
We declare that the enemy’s plans to spread discord and ruin through false laughter will be exposed and thwarted. Let the light of Your truth shine so brightly that every dark corner is illuminated, and every hidden motive is laid bare. May Your people rise up in righteousness, refusing to participate in or tolerate such wickedness. Give us the courage to rebuke it when we see it, the wisdom to discern its presence, and the love to lead others to repentance.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill Your children with the true joy that comes from You—joy that is pure, uplifting, and free from malice. Let our laughter be a reflection of Your goodness, not a weapon of the enemy. We trust in Your power to break every chain of cruelty and restore what has been broken.
In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
