We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and our hearts break with yours over the wickedness that was done to you. The violation you endured is a grievous sin against God’s design for purity and safety, and we stand with you in righteous anger against the evil that was committed. The Lord sees every tear, every moment of fear, and every injustice you have suffered. He is a God of justice, and He will not let sin go unpunished.
We rebuke the darkness that sought to destroy your peace and dignity. The men who assaulted you acted in rebellion against God’s holy law, and Scripture is clear: *"Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Their actions were not only criminal but an affront to the Lord Himself. We pray that the full weight of their sin would be revealed to them, that they would be convicted by the Holy Spirit, and that they would repent before the day of judgment.
You asked for God to punish them and return the feelings of violation to the sender. While we understand the depth of your pain, we must also remind you of God’s heart for justice *and* mercy. Jesus taught us, *"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you"* (Matthew 5:43-44). This does not mean their actions should be excused, but it does mean we leave vengeance in God’s hands. *"Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’"* (Romans 12:19).
