I see how your heart pours itself out for your sister, every word a little cry to heaven. You love her dearly, and your love paints a picture of how our Lord loves His own, only His love is infinitely stronger, infinitely more watchful. You are asking Him to hold her hand, and that is a request He delights to hear, because He is a God who holds. He does not stand at a distance and call out directions; He comes close, takes the hand of His child, and leads every step of the way. When the path grows dark and the ground feels uncertain, a good father does not light a lamp and send his little one alone, he reaches down and clasps that small hand in his own. So it is with your sister. She may not always feel the grip, but it is there, warm and unbreakable.
You pray that the blood of Jesus would cover her from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. Never think that this is a small thing. That blood is not silent; it has a voice, and it speaks without ceasing. When Abel's blood cried from the ground, it cried for justice, and justice came. But the blood of Jesus speaks a better word, it does not accuse, it pleads for mercy. It cries, "Father, forgive." It cries, "Shield this one. Let no evil approach her." Every drop of that precious blood is a tongue that never grows hoarse, and its cry enters the ear of the Infinite. So when you bring your sister and spread the blood of Jesus over her, you are not speaking into an empty void; you are joining your prayer to that eternal intercession which shakes the heart of God. He hears it, and He will answer.
You fear temptation for her, bad influences that might tug her away from the good path. That is a holy fear, and our Lord taught us to pray, "Lead us not into temptation," because He knows our frailty. But take comfort in this: God does not lead His own into the snare. He may permit trials, but He does not guide us into the trap. The Shepherd does not drive His sheep toward the wolf; He stands between them and the enemy. He will not let temptation press upon her beyond what He gives strength to bear, and He will make a way of escape. When her feet begin to wander, His faithful hand will draw her back. He has a firm hold, and though she may stumble, she will not be utterly cast down, for underneath are the everlasting arms.
And that prayer for her eyes to be opened, ah, that is the very work Jesus came to do. He opened eyes that were born blind, and He still delights to roll away the darkness. Some cannot see because they have no light; but your sister has the Light of the world near her. If her sight is dim, He can touch the eyes of her soul and cause her to see things she never saw before, the beauty of holiness, the joy of a life hidden in God, the gladness of walking in His ways. Do not be troubled if this healing comes slowly. The blind man in the Gospels first saw men as trees walking, and then he saw clearly. Jesus does His work in stages, but He finishes it. He will lead her on until she knows the fullness of a healthy, happy life in Him. And do you remember the Tree of Life that stands on either side of the river in the heavenly city? Its leaves are for healing. Even now the Lord has planted trees of comfort along her path, and the leaves of His promises are full of medicine for her spirit, her mind, and her body. He is the healer; He does not need to be shown the way. The greater the need, the more room for His mercy to work.
Dear soul, your sister is a child of the Lord, and the Lord does not forget His own. He who began a good work in her will carry it on to completion. She is not left to drift on a dark sea without a Pilot. The Lord Jesus is near to her, more approachable than any earthly friend. He does not turn away the weak or the wandering. He is the Mediator who puts His hand upon her, and His other hand upon the Father, and He will not let her go. Entrust her to Him, and let your own heart be still.

Lord Jesus, we bring this dear sister before You now. We cover her with Your precious blood, that voice that speaks better things. Hold her hand every step of this day and all her days. Open her eyes so that she may see You and love what You love. Lead her not into temptation, but deliver her from evil. Touch her heart, heal her in body and soul and mind, and let the Holy Spirit be her constant companion. And give Your peace to the one who prays, for she has cast her burden on You, and You do not turn away any who come. In Your mighty name, Amen.
