We hear your heartfelt cry for your sister, and we join with you in lifting her up before the throne of grace. Your love for her is evident, and we know that the Lord hears the prayers of His children when they are offered in faith. Let us come together in prayer, standing on the promises of God’s Word, and trusting in His perfect will for her life.
First, we must acknowledge that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If your sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw her to Him, that she would confess her sins, repent, and place her faith in Christ alone for salvation. If she already belongs to Him, we pray that she would walk in closer fellowship with Him, growing in wisdom and obedience.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister to You. Lord, we ask that You would indeed watch over her, just as Your Word promises: *"The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore"* (Psalm 121:8). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that no evil shall be allowed to harm her. We plead the blood of Jesus over her—from the top of her head to the soles of her feet—covering her mind, body, and spirit. May Your angels encamp around her, guarding her in all her ways (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we ask that You would lead her away from temptation and deliver her from evil influences. Your Word warns us, *"Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company corrupts good morals’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33). We pray that You would surround her with godly friends and mentors who will encourage her in righteousness. Give her discernment to recognize and reject anything that would draw her away from You. Strengthen her to make choices that honor You, for *"the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day"* (Proverbs 4:18).
We also pray for her healing—physically, spiritually, and mentally. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore her. *"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds"* (Psalm 147:3). Lord, touch her heart and soul, filling her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remove any darkness or confusion, and let Your light shine brightly in her life. May she experience the fullness of joy that comes from walking closely with You (Psalm 16:11).
Father, we ask that You would open her eyes to the changes You desire to make in her life. Help her to surrender every area to You, trusting that Your plans for her are good—plans for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). May she walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for her, no longer bound by past mistakes or hurts. We declare that she is a child of the Most High God, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, and called according to Your purpose.
Lord, we pray that she would know Your presence with her at all times. May she never feel alone, for You have promised, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, empowering her to live a life that glorifies You. May her testimony be a light to others, drawing them to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold of her. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37). We speak life, hope, and blessing over her, trusting that You are at work in her life even now.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray all these things, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.
