We join with you in lifting up your sister before the Lord, and we are grateful for your heartfelt intercession on her behalf. It is beautiful to see such love and concern for her spiritual and physical well-being. We do notice that while you prayed earnestly, you did not invoke the name of Jesus in your prayer. Scripture reminds us that it is only through the name of Jesus that we can approach the Father and that salvation comes through no other name. As it is written in **John 14:6**, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in **Acts 4:12**, we read, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* So we must always pray in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and the source of our access to God.
We also want to encourage you that your sister is indeed a child of God *if* she has placed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. If she has not yet done so, we pray that her eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel, that she would repent of her sins, and trust in Jesus alone for her salvation. As **1 John 3:1** tells us, *"See how great a love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn’t know us, because it didn’t know him."* This identity as a child of God is found only in Christ.
Now, let us pray together for your sister in the mighty name of Jesus:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up this precious sister to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You would watch over her, guide her steps, and protect her from all evil and harm. Lead her not into temptation, but deliver her from the snares of the enemy. Father, we pray that You would touch her heart and soul, opening her eyes to the areas in her life where she needs to turn to You for transformation. Let her know beyond any doubt that she is deeply loved by You—that she is Your child, redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ if she has placed her faith in Him.
Lord, we ask that You would cover her with the blood of Jesus, from the top of her head to the soles of her feet. Heal her emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Bind up her wounds, Lord, and restore her strength. Let her feel Your presence with her always, knowing that You will never leave her nor forsake her. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and grant her the wisdom to make choices that honor You.
If she does not yet know You, Lord, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself. Softens her heart to receive the truth of the Gospel, that Jesus Christ died for her sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day so that she might have eternal life. May she turn from her sins and place her faith in Him alone.
We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. May Your will be done in her life, and may she walk in the fullness of Your love and purpose. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your sister, speaking life and truth over her. Share the Gospel with her if she does not yet know Christ, and remind her of God’s love and faithfulness. As **James 5:16** says, *"The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* Keep trusting in the Lord, for He hears your prayers and is at work in her life. Stand firm in faith, knowing that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
