Sister scolding this morning

AMSG

Disciple of Prayer
Sister scolding as every Saturday morning. Since very early before I could even say:""Good morning." The way it's going on now, she will continue talking while I do not respond, because she wants me to respond in order for her to think she has manipulated me and control me. I usually do not respond or react to her anger-moments, because it's simple things she use to manipulate and control and waste time. I think she is under the impression my non-response is a type of weakness; thus, she was doing this almost every weekend for a very very long time. It was too extreme this morning, while I planned to do a lot of work today. I've already asked Yeshua to stop that but want to ask for you to pray with me. I do not have to do anything for her to find fault, it's her way of releasing her inner insecurities towards me and to control our household. If something is not the way she wants it, she gets angry. The greatest wonder is that I do not feel sad or angry or anything. It's like observing from afar, while my focus in on my work and the personal things of me, my Mom and our household, etc. It's by the Grace of Yeshua that I became like this. Please still pray for us according the will of God. Thank you.

We join you in prayer and we thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear how wearying it has been to endure this pattern almost every weekend for a very long time, and especially this morning when you had much work planned and were met with scolding before you could even say good morning. We praise God with you that by His grace you have been given a calm spirit and are able to observe without being drawn into anger or sadness, for that is truly a work of His grace in you.

We rejoice that you have already called upon Yeshua, who is Jesus the Messiah, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son John 14:13. We are grateful you know Him and call upon Him.

The Lord calls us to pursue peace in our households and to exercise self-control when provoked. Your choice not to respond in anger is not weakness, but strength under control, which is fruit of the Spirit. He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, he who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city Proverbs 16:32. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger Proverbs 15:1. We see this grace in you and we encourage you to continue, Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath Ephesians 4:26. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32.

At the same time we must lovingly speak truth about what is happening in your home. A pattern of scolding, fault finding, manipulation and seeking to control others does not align with God's will for how we treat one another in a household. We are called to bear with one another in love, with all lowliness and humility, with patience Ephesians 4:2, and to put on love which is the bond of perfection Colossians 3:14. If your sister is using small things to release her inner insecurities and to control the household, she is carrying a burden that only Christ can heal, and her behavior can become a provocation and a stumbling block to peace. We gently rebuke that spirit of control and anger, for love does not seek its own way and is not provoked 1 Corinthians 13:5, and we pray the Lord will convict and soften her heart.

We encourage you to continue as you are doing, not returning evil for evil, but giving a blessing 1 Peter 3:9, and to be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God James 1:19-20. When there is a calm moment, it may be helpful in love to set a gentle boundary and speak truth, perhaps sharing how the early morning scolding affects the peace of the home, while honoring her as your sister. If possible, seek peace with all, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18. Continue to be diligent in your work and in caring for your mother and your household, as unto the Lord, and cast your anxieties upon Him, for He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now according to the will of God.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Yeshua, Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your grace that has kept our dear one in perfect peace while enduring these weekly trials, and we ask You to continue to guard her heart and mind. Lord, we lift up her sister to You, You know her insecurities, her need to control, and the anger that rises so quickly. We ask that You would heal her heart, reveal Your love to her, and teach her to walk in gentleness and self-control. Remove the spirit of fault finding and manipulation from this household and replace it with kindness, humility and mutual honor. Help this household to dwell together in unity, for You have said how good and pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1. Give wisdom to our sister in how to respond, when to remain silent and when to speak a gentle word of truth in love, and protect the work of her hands today and in the days ahead. Let Your peace rule in this home and let Your will be done in both of their lives. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We have been reading your note and can hear how wearing this weekly pattern is, especially when you have work you hoped to give your full attention to today. It makes sense you would feel observed and tired by it, even as you describe a surprising calm as you stay focused on your own responsibilities and on caring for your mom and household.

We are encouraged that you have experienced that steadiness as grace from Yeshua, that ability to watch from a little distance rather than being pulled into every angry moment. That kind of calm is not weakness, it is often how a healthy boundary works, quietly marking what is yours to carry, your time, your work, your peace, and what belongs to your sister to own herself.

One small step that helps many in a similar spot is to decide ahead of time what you will do when the scolding starts on Saturday. For example, choosing a brief, kind response if needed and then gently returning to your planned work in another room can protect your day without inviting a longer argument. If it helps, you and your mom might agree together on how you want to handle household decisions when tensions rise.

We are praying with you for God's will to be done in your home.

Jesus, thank You for the calm You have already given. We ask for Your peace over this home today, for wisdom for each person in it, and for protection over time and work and relationships. Lead them in Your way and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your burden and we have carried it before the throne of grace with thanksgiving for the work of Yeshua already evident in your life. That you can observe these trials from afar, without being moved to sadness or anger, and keep your focus upon your work and the care of your mother and your household, is indeed by the grace of Yeshua, and for this we give thanks.

The peace you describe is that which is spoken of in the Scripture, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is the peace which Christ Himself gives, not as the world gives, a peace which the world cannot understand and cannot take away. It is a peace which God the Father gives, which Jesus Christ bought with His blood, and which the Holy Spirit works in the soul. It is His own peace, calm and profound, and it can keep the heart even when sorrows are surging round and duties press and trials rise within the household. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest.

We will pray with you according to the will of God, that He who is called the God of Peace would bless you and your household with His peace. We ask the Lord to keep your mind stayed upon Christ, to renew your strength for the work He has given you to do, and to guard your heart from weariness. We ask Him also to work in your sister, to quiet what is restless within, to grant her repentance and gentleness, and to teach you both to walk in love, patience and forbearance, not returning evil but seeking that which makes for peace.

Continue in that gracious quietness, yet with a spirit of meekness and love. A soft answer turns away wrath, and where we are silent, let it be not from mere resolve but from entrusting ourselves to Him who judges righteously. Bear this burden to your God in prayer each time it arises, for He gives peace to His people when they bring their cares to Him, whether in poverty or plenty, in family cares or in daily labor.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, the God of Peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, we come through His blood which alone makes peace between us and You. Keep this Your child in perfect peace as his mind is stayed on You. Guard his household, give grace to his mother and to his sister, and let Your peace rule in that home. Subdue what is unruly, heal what is wounded, and teach all therein to seek first Christ and His righteousness. Grant wisdom to know when to speak and when to be silent, and let all be done in love and truth as You will. We ask this not for our will but for Yours to be done, and for Your name to be glorified through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation and peace. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and your patience in this long and repeated trial is seen by the Lord. You describe being scolded without cause, and that you do not answer back in anger but remain quiet and keep your focus on your work and on caring for your mother and your household. That quiet endurance is not weakness. By the grace of Yeshua you have been given strength to observe without being drawn into anger or sadness, and that is a noble victory.

Scripture teaches us not to rush into conflicts but to deprecate them, and to wait quietly unless we are compelled to stand. When we do not return fighting for fighting, our victory is more glorious and it is shown to be from God. For God is not a God of war and fighting, but of peace. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. The more your sister wars against you, the greater can be your reward if you remain at peace, remembering no evil and not buffeting in return. We overcome not by doing wrongfully but by suffering wrongfully with endurance. As rocks in the sea break the waves by standing firm while being struck, so endurance alone gains the crown. Conflict and envy spring from vainglory and the things of this life, and when we learn to despise those things and cut out the root, the fruit of strife withers.

The greatest good in a household is agreement and love, and where the members are at peace there is order and blessing. Discord is not always to be sought, and peace is not always good if it is a peace in wrongdoing, but the peace of Christ which makes us at peace with one another is the true peace that renders us stronger.

Let us pray together according to the will of God.

Father in heaven, in the name of Yeshua the Messiah who alone is salvation, we thank You for the grace You have already given to endure without anger and to keep a calm heart. We ask You to grant continued strength to not be drawn into vainglory or strife, but to conquer by patient endurance. Bring Your peace into this household. Soften and heal the heart of the sister, take away the insecurity and desire to control, and teach her also to seek peace. Help both to live at peace with all people as far as it depends on them, and to imitate Your Son who calls us to remember no evil. Guard the work of this day and the care for mother and home, and let all be done for Your glory. Let Your will be done in this family, and set them free from enmity and remembrance of wrongs. We ask this in the name of Yeshua, Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for inviting prayer. I hear how wearying this regular pattern has become, especially when you have work you need to do and you are trying to care faithfully for your mother and your household. It is a gift of grace that you are able to remain calm and not be pulled into anger or sadness, but to keep your focus on what God has given you to do. That quiet steadiness is not weakness. Scripture presents it as strength under control, a fruit of God working patience in you.

God is described as the God of patience and comfort. He is long suffering and very patient to bring about His purposes. Because He is so patient with us, He calls us to be patient with one another. You have need of patience, as it is written, that after you have done the will of God you may receive what He has promised. The saints who went before us inherited the promises through faith and patience, not through quick reactions. Like a farmer who waits for the early and latter rain and waits for the full harvest, we are called to establish our hearts and wait for the Lord to work in His time.

Part of that patience is learning to keep your mind stayed on Him. He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him because that person trusts in Him. There is a difference between having peace with God and knowing the peace of God day by day. Peace with God comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ, who made peace for us when we were at war with God. Then, as we keep our thoughts on Him and trust Him to take care of what concerns us, His peace guards our hearts and minds. That peace passes understanding and does not depend on whether the house is calm or whether another person is angry. Hope in Him brings joy and peace as we believe, not as we feel. Feelings come and go, but believing His promises steadies us.

God also shows us a wise and peaceable way to live with others. Wisdom from above is peaceable, and the fruit of right living is sown in peace by those who make peace. That includes guarding the tongue and using it for good rather than for quarreling. You have chosen not to answer anger with anger or to be drawn into manipulation and control. That is a good and biblical choice. To sow peace does not mean you accept being controlled, but that you continue to do what is right quietly, without returning evil, and trust God to work in your sister's heart. Where there is striving and fighting, it comes from self centered desires. Where there is sowing in peace, God can bring forth righteousness.

I will pray with you according to the will of God.

Father, I thank You for Your grace that has kept this dear one in calmness and has guarded her heart from anger. I thank You that You are the God of patience, the God of comfort, the God of hope, and the God of peace. I ask that You fill her with Your grace first, and then with Your peace, and that You keep her in perfect peace as her mind stays on You and she trusts in You. Give her fresh patience to continue doing Your will and to wait for Your promises in Your time. For her sister, I ask that You would bring healing to inner insecurity, remove the desire to control, and soften her heart. Bring peace into this home. Make each one a sower of peace, so that the fruit of righteousness may grow there. Let Your comfort rest on this family, and let Your will be done in each life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you regarding the difficult situation with your sister and the scolding that has been happening almost every Saturday morning. We are grateful you shared so openly about the early morning strife, the desire to manipulate and control, and how you have by the grace of Yeshua been able to remain at peace and not respond in anger while keeping your focus on your work and caring for your mom and household.

We have continued to pray for you that the Lord would bring peace to your home, soften the heart of your sister and help her release her insecurities in a healthy way, and that He would give you continued wisdom and grace to walk in calm strength and not be drawn into strife. We pray that God would guard your heart and grant you rest and focus for the work He has given you to do, and that His will would be done in your household as we are reminded in Rom 12:18 and Prov 15:1.

If your request was answered and the Lord has brought quietness to your Saturday mornings and improvement in your relationship with your sister, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and the weekend scolding and controlling behavior continues, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We are trusting God to bless you and keep you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name.
